You do not need to have a core hound . There is a spot over by that lava pool and skitterflame where you can mount up and jump on a rock. So you do that and shoot him once right in front of you. When he casts the dot that stuns and kills you, Right at the end of it cast detterence and tame. pretty simple . but yours really is the easy way :)
