  • @stephanietwist Aren't they beautiful? My favorite papers too - I got them from Lee's Art Shop (NYC) last year. They do ship the items if you don't live in NYC. If I remember correct, papers are called "Flocked Damask" Gift Wrap Rolls (30" x 5 Feet) from The Gift Wrap Company. I also purchased the ribbon from Lee's Art Shop. You can also check M&J Trimming (also NYC). They both have a large selection of good quality ribbons ;)

  • @stephanietwist ***Sorry, for technical reasons, I cannot leave the web links in this comment. Please google both names for the web-addresses ;)

    but that works too

  • Hi everyone! Thanks for watching the first of my holiday gift wrapping videos 2011!

I also appreciate all your comments! The beauty of throwing ideas out there is so that everyone can improvise the way he/she wants. This idea came from all the left over scrap strips that I had from rolls of gift wrap...they're too thin to wrap anything else, but worked perfectly as accent papers! You can also do your own eco-friendly version by using newspapers, magazine pages or just make less stripes ;)

  • Perfect timing for such an elegant idea. So simple too! I can imagine how to apply using all sorts of papers...including pages from my stack of old fashion magazines. Thanks for sharing some precious bits from your bag of tricks!

  • What a fanTEAstic idea! Thanks for sharing!

  • You are amazing!

  • Never have been very good at gift wrapping but you make it look so easy and very pretty...thanx for sharing...ps ignore the comment about a waste of paper, you can't please everyone...

  • I always have left over wrapping paper! Will be fun to try this!

  • It's pretty but it's also a terrible waste of paper. Completely NOT eco friendly :(

  • I love this! Definitely going to try it!

  • Wunderbar! Vielen Dank!!

  • I will never wrap presents the same way!!! This is so beautiful! I'm going to do all of my presents like this!!! =)

  • That looks amazing! Thanks for sharing :)

  • Beatiful. Great tutorial, TFS

  • So pretty! Arigato!

  • So cute I love all of your videos, I love homemade stuff!
