I used to watch this show after school!!! Along with Duck Tales and Darkwing Duck. I love the part when the pirate would say "Fire at Will" when he wanted them to shoot Baloo, the pirates would start shooting a guy named Will and then the captain would say" Do not fire at Will, he is my second mate, fire at the Sea Duck!" ahhh memories....

Not spin-off. Re-imagining. It took the same basic set of characters from the Jungle Book, maintaining the basic personalities and recast them into new roles. So Baloo was still just a lazy oaf who happened to be a good pilot, Shere Khan a predator of the business world, and Louie a laid-back business owner. Kit was basically Mogwli, and Kaa and Bagheera were removed for being unneeded. (Baloo's boss served as the Bagheera counterpart).
