  • Would u mind me asking how your parents felt about this ?? Coming from a similar background as you, my family would kill me if I were to bring a black girl home, even though I have dated a few in the past.

  • @noorur :

It is you who are getting married and who will have to share your life with your partner, not your parents. Your kind of thinking is a reminder that the herd mentality is paramount to many. I see it as a case of a slave afraid to take his shackles off.

Obeying and respecting your parents might be important to you, but if they insist on imposing their capricious and twisted views on your very personal choices, then they are not worth obeying and respecting.

  • @MrSayonara7777 I do get what you mean, but you do realise in Asian cultures, family is very VERY important. We have extremely strong family values and being cast out is like death itself. It's more to do with identity loss itself.

  • @noorur : Family is important to most people not only in asian culture. That said, when family becomes a stifling force and an obstacle to self-fulfillement, I think a freedom-loving soul ought to take a stand. A person whose sense of identity and worth hinges upon his/her family approvals is a person destined to live a dull and stifling life.

I know some people are more comfortable living controlled and directed, than being free and face the uncertainties that comes with it.

  • @noorur my family was against us getting married NOT because he was a bad person but because of his race and his religion and what their friends and family and society would say about it. I love my parents to death but I have my own principles and grounds that I stand firm upon and one of them is to not to judge a person by his/her race or religion. My family is an integral part of who I am and I am so glad they came around and blessed us at wedding and danced their *** off :)

  • @gsugandh I see, lucky you. i suppose it has something to do with the family aswell. Hear a few years ago when an Indian man had his own daughter-in-law murdered just because she was 'black' and his son had no intention of letting her go ?? I know it's sad, but unfortunately that's the mindset of our people. Hopefully the generation after us will be generally much more open minded. I am also aware that in the early 20th century, marriages between whites and blacks were forbidden too...

  • @noorur Yes I did hear about the news regarding that sad case but then again in India we still have honor killing even when you marry an Indian but from different caste, village, region, religion. I know many people who give in and sacrifice on their beliefs because they don't want to create "trouble" or challenge the status quo. If everyone thought this way, there would have been no revolution, no social changes, no progress in this world. It's important to stand for what you believe.

  • @gsugandh I understand what you are saying, and on the contrary no i don't share the same beliefs as the past generation Asians, but even then I heard similar sort of stories where the parents disowned their children even within African families too, for marrying someone who they're not from the same tribe or from a tribe which they may have had a blood feud with in the past, and believe me, I grew up in North London, right next to Hackney where they have a huge African community here.

  • @gsugandh Not that I am condemning your decision to marry outside of your race, but what I am trying to say is, it's not as easy or even possible for everyone without getting backlash from their family. I for one cannot really bare the thought of my family disowning me, especially when they bought me into this world and raised me. And I am sure alot of other African men may feel the same way when their parents disapprove of their marriage to someone from a different tribe altogether.

  • @noorur You are right these things happen in many different communities and nations but its people like us who need to make a stand when the time comes. Let me ask you a question - if your parents asked for a dowry from the girl they want you to get married to will you take a stand against it? or will you just go on with it because you don't want to create any trouble or hurt your parents?

  • @gsugandh This whole dowry thing, means getting money from the bride side of the family ?? I would stand against it, as the idea is pure bullocks, and backwards. Who'd take money from the girls' family just to marry them ?? I don't know which culture does this, but I am Muslim and we don't do such things.

  • @noorur You have similar thing called Meher - where you give money to the bride's family (opposite of dowry where you give money to groom's family). Either way you said the idea is backward and you would stand up against it even if that meant standing against your parents. its the same idea when you parents judge your husband/wife on the basis of race/religion rather than the personality/character - that is backward too and I stood up against it and my parents decided to stand by me :)

  • @gsugandh oh Meher is different from dowry, in the sense that you pay the bride that amount if you divorce her.

  • @gsugandh the reason as to why we give Meher is more to do with the female being financially dependent on the husband, and the loss of a husband obviously means no income, hence the husband has to provide her the means to live til she can move on.

  • @gsugandh however, paying someone to marry you is completely absurd. Never the less, it happens in alot of cultures today, not just amongst Hindu's.

As for interracial marriages, we can conclude that you were fortunate enough to convince your parents but that is sadly not always the case, I hear about honour killings even within Turkish and Kurdish communities near where I live, due to their children giving their families a 'bad' name, such as dating or marrying someone from a low caste.

  • @gsugandh Maybe our previous generation aren't so open minded, like how we will be when we become parents and grandparents.

  • @noorur We all love our parents and I can't bare the thought of them disowning me BUT our parents are not always right. They are someone's parents who ask for dowry or torture their daughter-in-laws for more dowry - what should the son do? Should the son be the coward or should the son take a stand even though his parents might disown him? Those who become activists and leaders they all had to be disowned by the society/parents for standing up for what they believe in - not ideal but its life!

  • you are going to have the best looking children.

  • Don't mind poor ghorardim0, he suffers from chronic mental constipation.

  • fucken nigga

  • holy crap!! 1 year gone, and are they still together??? God Bless..

  • ARS9001 IS NOT AN INDIAN... BUT A ZIONIST TROLL.. WHO WANTS TO CREATE FIGHT BETWEEN INDIANS...AND AFRICANS, AS THEY HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR CENTURIES!

GO TO ANY AFRICAN AMERICAN FORUM... U WOULD SEE THEM DAILY POSTING BS ABOUT AFRICANS POSING AS 'INDIAN"... MFkN SOB POS!!

    SO BEWARE OF THEM!

  • was there any backlash to you marrying a black man?? just wondering cus my indian friends their parents are kinda on that crazy traditional vibe LOL

  • Just to bump a comment that I liked ALOT :) That these two will some day have children who will RULE THE WORLD and BRING PEACE :) LOL!! loved it!

    AND I LOVED HER OUTFIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lovely,

I'm American/African, my hubby is Indian. It's so nice to see another Indian/African couple. ( FYI: Our daughter is beautiful! She has a good life)

For GOD sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart!

  • congrats to the both of you this video is a statement of hope, and blessing that Love doesn't discriminate on the color of your skin, religion, or culture. True agape Love is deeper then the dept of sea.......it is pure, and strong no one will really be able to understand the true meaning of your union except you and God.........thank you from breaking away from social/culture stereotypes and following your hearts...be blessed and i hope you have many children with a prosperous marriage.

  • SHABASH BAESHARMAY, and the rest of you are PAGALS

  • I want to marry an african American man too. He's so cute... Oh and the girl is pretty too

  • @cedpoet thanks for your compliments. yes, my parents would have preferred me to marry within the same religion and race but they accepted him as they trusted my choice.

  • @gsugandh all my Indian female friends who saw this were like "Wow, does he [your groom] have any single brothers?" and all my black male friends who saw this were like "Wow, does she [you] have any single sisters?" LOL

I wish you and your husband the very best of married life. Congratulations!

  • @jalabi99 haha your friends are funny! He has no single brothers and my single sister is still a baby :)

  • How special! Great to see them so happy with family and friends supporting them.

  • Awww, that was wonderful. They make a beautiful couple.

  • This video needs a THUMBS uP ! To the happy couple !

  • Im indian .. and I find it pretty cool black and INdian weddings take place..

Nothing wrong in it .. However, its slightly hard to beleive this girl is born and brought up in India. She doesnt look exactly Indian ..She seems like she is born in an african country and thereby her features have becomes a little like theirs.

But she is beautiful having said that and congratulations to the couple. its a lovely wedding.

  • @mithungangolli She definitely looks Indian. There are so many different complexions and facial features in the giant country of India, so there is no specific and single way to "look Indian". Being raised in a country different than your ancestral country cannot change your genes, or your bone structure so what you're saying makes no sense.

  • @mithungangolli Thanks for the wishes. But I just wanted to let you know, that I was born and brought up in India for 16 years and my parents still live in Delhi.

Thanks again everyone for all the love!

  • What a adorable couple and loved the dance, it was awesome... x

  • You guys are so adorable. God Bless.

  • J'adoooooorrrre <3 <3 <3 <3 Beaucoup beaucoup beaucoup de bonheur...!!

  • The song is Mahi Ve from movie Kal ho na ho

  • Very disturbing content. This has scarred my soul..

  • @ARS9001

  • @nirajgupta1000

These people are probably indo-negroids. They are not Indian.

Indian is an identity and not just a citizenship. Identity is based on shared values, ideas and culture. Inter ethnic or inter racial marriages are not a part of my culture. And since they do not believe in the same ideas and values as we do, they do not belong to our culture. Hence, they are not indian.

  • @ARS9001 so much hate...why do you waste your time trolling on videos of people/culture/love when all you want to do is hate on it!

  • @gsugandh I'm not trolling, I speak the truth. What gives you the right to decide what "people/culture/love" is? you subscribe to a self centered, animalistic carnal love driven by pop culture, hormones and western hegemonic thought. I see the love for ones tradition, values and family superior to your kind of love. I am upset because you tag this as an indian wedding and you present this nonsense. Please call youself "of indian decent". I repeat, you are not from the same culture as me.

  • @ARS9001 Let me ask you the same question - what gives you the right to judge or question what "people/culture/love" is. You did speak some truth, I definitely don't belong to the same culture as you. You can't even begun to understand the beautiful loving Indian culture that I was proudly raised in and which rightly states "vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is my family - Source: Maha Upanishad 6.71)! We should throw away race, color, & creed, and create a society of oneness.

  • @gsugandh

I don't know what part of the country your parents are from, they are not from mine, we are clean and pure and don't do such things. Aslo, what you quoted is "Religion", it is not the same as culture. Culturally, we do not marry outside the caste. I don't entirely blame you, it's your parents fault for not giving you culture and also that it is Kalyug, all Dharm is lost and there is indecency, you are brainwashed by western media and accpet western values. the world will end soon.

  • suck a dick!!!!! WORLD HAS ALREADY ENDED FOR YOU.

  • suck a dick!!!!! WORLD HAS ALREADY ENDED FOR YOU

  • @2162801

I rise above the filth and keep myself pure. And even if I do bring home a foreigner, I'm sure I can do better than a negroid.

  • @ARS9001 O my, I think you got lost in the cyber world.. lol :D this is YOUTUBE.COM ... where we are allowed to be happy for people just because they are happy. I believe the man you think is "impure" has a heart of gold. You are unlucky... Find a different forum to preach your nonsense... Tradition and culture and far different from religion... Poo on you :P

  • @msbaboolal He might be the nicest person in the world but that is irrelevant.

    1. "Niceness" is relative.

    2. It is not about niceness, it is about compatibility. In the Indian culture, when we marry, it is not a personal but rather a family joining. Hence factors such as language, food, religion, lifestyle, social hierarchy, interest, etc, etc become important. Hence, we marry in the same caste.

I repeat, you are of Indian decent but have a western liberal hegemonic mentality = not indian.

  • @ARS9001 Your views are not indian. They belong to that of a subset that exists in every society/religion/culture/tradition. It's called the racist pig subset. They are dangerous for humanity (Hitler, the KKK, etc...). Why don't you do your miserable self a favor and go spend time with your ilk- away from the lovely people who are happy? the world really needs less of you. It's unfortunate that people like you will one day have children, and continue perpetuating this debilitating nonsense.

  • @meciv Scroll up and read everything I have said. If you still fail to get the essence of what I am trying to say then forget it. It is not about race it is about dignity and respect for ones cultural values. The concept of "racism" is western, so is the concept of "anti-racism".

Anyhow, since you are such a liberal, your mom can come get shagged by my dog anytime(he likes it rough). Since we are such a big happy family why exclude animals from the love? LMAO

  • @ARS9001 I am not going to discuss with such an ignorant like you (yes your racism origins are sillyness and ignorance) but let me recall you when you say "It is not about race it is about dignity and respect for ones cultural values".. You are the same who said "And even if I do bring home a foreigner, I'm sure I can do better than a negroid." and here you are comprating black people to animals. Pity is all i have for you congenital idiot !

By the way, it's a beautiful wedding here !!

  • @LunaticDog94

If you can compare us to negroids, then why can't I compare negroids to animals? Same bloody thing. We have no negroes here, we have nothing to do with your primitive culture, we do not need you. The closest I can think of are the Arabs, the arabic word for negro is "Abd" which means both black and slave. Search the internet and you will know what Arabs do with Negroes lmao. My advice, stay away from us or be prepared to face hostility.

  • As for the rest of you, please do not talk to me if you cannot present an argument calling me gay/stupid/racist etc doesnt work. Take my word for it, Indians do not like Negroes, people looking up this video are mostly negroes, I'm not sure how I ended up here in the first place. The poster is a huge exception, don't believe me look up the internet. I feel sorry for the womans parents and future kids really. Otherwise, she sure has antagonized an indifferent person which wil have consequences :)

  • @ARS9001 well I'M not a black and I love this video in fact I'm going to have an indian groom and I am NOT indian is that bad? and you cant talk about facts when you see true love :)

  • @gsugandh I agree with you 1,000,000% people should stop looking on the outside in start looking for the person on the inside people love for one nother should not be judge on their race, color and religion or any thing else for the matter.

  • it was awesome have a happy life ..btw bride is beyound beautiful he is lucky to get her have a happy life together

  • @KNPhifer i was too...read my comment on the previous page...lol

  • beatifull!!!! love is everything! best wishes to the beautiful couple!

  • How Sweet! I wish you both the very best. Go with God.

  • awwww..thanks so much rick for your wonderful wishes!

  • Their children will rule the world and bring PEACE to us all...may the world GOD"S make many more unions like this in their honor. May peace and love follow this couple all the days of their live.

  • @rick5690 I doubt that honestly, the children will never be accepted in India. They will enjoy a socially inferior life in the US aswell. Indians who marry outside their race, usually end up with whites. Those who end up with blacks are at the bottom of the pecking order, mostly unattractive, fat or ones with low self esteem since a black man was the best they could get with themselves. Hence the stereotype "Fat white women and black men". Stop existing in a dream and come back to reality.

  • BEAUTIFUL COUPLE!!!! All the best wishes for your life together!
