Lovely to see my home town again, miss the beaches they are awesome. It has changed but so has everywhere else. The beautiful buildings aree still there. I rmrmber my childhood on Marsden beach walking up the pier and to the Groyne. Even remember BBC it's a Knock out in the park!

Slowly but surely being eroded by the new Jeremy Kyle generation which used to be confined to few sink estates, but has successfully breeded into overspill and became a mainstream presence in almost every cranny of South Shields. Labour's generous tax credits have helped this breed become more affluent and both off licences and pubs throughout the town are reaping the benefits.

I use to go here when i was younger for a holiday. We used to stay in a caravan not far from the beach. I was like 6-8 years old when I last went. I'm now 16. I used to love it. We used to go to the fun fair near the beach everyday.

Is the pub still there? They did a great Sunday roast lol.

I wouldn't mind going back but only for a night or two. There is not much there for me now. The arcade was my favourite. I used to win lots of money.

I did see her again after that, but we were banned from seeing each other so it was difficult living so far apart - I was in London. Eee well personally I love livin in shields me... it isn't actually a bad place to live at all. Everywhere in the world has its scum bags, and thers other places which has far more than we were blessed with lol

As for crime etc. it doesn't happen very often the odd petty crime but nothing big, nothing compared to the south of england n that!

I lived in Millais gardens right at the back of Whiteleas from 1974 to 1994. Last time I was there about two years ago Barry's was still there. They bought the butchers next door and knocked through to make the shop bigger.
