  • I cannot explain to you what this video is worth to me. She stopped talking the day after I received her & I never heard her voice again. To hear Mrs. Beasley's voice is something I never thought I'd hear again, and you gave me that precious gift. Thank you so incredibly much!

  • I have an original and a new one but the original doesnt talk anymore and would love to either replace it or get it fixed

  • I recently procured one..all she makes is a strange farting sound when you pull her string..how much do you charge to restore?

  • DID YOU STEAL HER GLASSES?

  • I want one an original anyone know where ? i am uk id by one for £400 pounds contact me than you

  • @JoanCollins2009 I have an original that does not talk..her box is broken and she is missing her glasses, but is in otherwise good condition. Message me, I WILL take less than 400 lbs for her :*)

  • I need someone to fix both my dolls

  • i have the more recent mrs beasley voiced by cheryl ladd, they also operate on the same woody doll system the pull string is fake even though it goes into the voice box, but makes contact with the battery voice box ,clever idea without all the parts breaking down

  • @wizzwamf Cheryl Ladd did the Mrs. Beasley voice? What year?

    Interesting.

  • @Kaykay940

    2000

  • i had this when i was little after many years voice box didd't work my son trying to one on ebay for xmas for me christmas 2010

  • @JessicaKeatonTv1 The original belts don't last and have to be replaced but often times other parts inside wear and break. If you can find a mute doll in great condition she'd be worth having her voice box repaired. I can do it if you are interested. If you're shopping on ebay for a Mrs. Beasley, try to find one that hasn't had the voicebox removed. A lot of times people with no experience try to take them apart and ruin them.

  • I still have my Mrs. Beasley doll. I saw her a few days ago. I've had her since I was around 3. She doesn't talk when I pull the string. Just fast gibberish now. Her glasses are long gone, but it's still so nice to have her around :)

  • I just got a Mrs. Beasley Doll at auction this past week (for CHEAP) but she has no glasses and her pull string does not want to retract, it just hangs out, how can I get it to retract with out having to restitch?

  • @Violetlass Unfortunately the string cannot be retracted without unstitching and opening the voice box. It's a mechanical malfunction inside the box that's causing it, most likely something to do with the spring. If you click on one of my videos that explains the talk box parts, you will see how it's supposed to look/operate. If you take the time to stitch along the original seams, the repair will not be obvious.

  • I have a question about old pullstring dolls, did their string go in slow or fast? The only pullstring related doll I have is a Sheriff Woody doll.

  • @ArtsBoi14 The strings on the vintage dolls take approximately 3.5-4 seconds to fully retract after each phrase.

  • @ArtsBoi14 If you view my Tatters video clip, you can see the pullstring better as it's retracting. That should give you an idea of the speed for comparison with your Woody doll.

  • @VoorheesVillain Thank you very much for returning my comment. I am quite interested in looking into pullstring dolls after seeing a few different ones. I remember Tatters too, my aunt had one but it was in terrible shape and the voice box was wrecked. No it wasn't mute, it still worked but it sounded terrible

  • @ArtsBoi14 woodys spose to go in fast, im pretty sure because its a newer voice box kinds thing.

  • @Twilight101cp I believe the reason is because the Woody dolls out today have battery operated voiceboxes and don't need the record.

  • @ArtsBoi14 fast

  • Are these voices cut on a record?

  • @SlimeTron5000 Yes, the vintage Mattel talkers all have records inside the voice box.

  • @VoorheesVillain that;s cool I didn't know that

  • This was my favorite doll when I was a child. One thing I wish I would have kept.

  • I tried to get an origanial Mrs Beasly, but couldn't find one, but i purchased a Mrs Beasly that has the voice of Cheryl someone, sorry i cant remember her name . I received a flyer in the mail and was supprised to see Mrs Beasly tree ornaments and the doll. I bought it right away. Still wish I had the origanial though the voice is just not the same.

  • LONG AGO

    I WAS A LITTLE GIRL

    JUST

    LIKE

    YOU

oh my god keep it away from me I don't wanna become a doll D:

  • I always wanted a Mrs Beasley doll when I was little, then in 2003 I bought one that cost 100 dollars and Cheryl Ladd did the voice, I got an autographed picture of Cathy Garvey who played Cissy on Family Affair. I always wondered what they did with the original one that Anissa Jones had?

  • There's a song called Mrs.Beasley. The song sounds so Badass how does this relate at all?

  • My former girlfriend still has her Mrs. Beasley doll. Sho got hers in April 9Th, 1970 when she turned 3. Hard to imagine it has bean 40 years.

  • OMG- I got this doll when I was 3 years old. The first thing I did was color all over her face. Thanks for posting this- I remember all her sayings and unique voice so vividly now. I would drive my family crazy by pulling the string all night long!!

  • Mine has a voice box, but she is mute :)

  • Let me know if you are interested in having her voice repaired. The doll in this video is one that I repaired.

  • Thanks for posting how this doll talked. Funny, but this is one doll I never wanted as a kid. I guess because she was a little old lady doll, and I wanted baby dolls that I could be the mother for. lol.

  • I carried this doll so much that it became my nick name. It was from the series with jodie and buffy on it i forget the name

  • Family Affair

  • I had this doll but she lost her voice. Neat to hear what she used to say.

  • I found an old box of toys that belonged to me and my sister from the 60's and 70's.

I found her "Mrs. Beasley" and "Swingy" doll.

I also found my "Underdog" Halloween costume in it's original box.

  • buckethead made a song called mrs. beasley it's awesome! didn't know what it was about lol ^^

  • I had this doll. ^_^

  • Man I would not want to be on magic mushrooms in this lady's house..

  • Wow listen to her! I wish my Mrs. Beasley talked.

  • i had one of these dolls and i turned her upside down and the batteries fell out and gave me the biggest lump on my forehead its funny now. lolol

  • Must have been a different doll Mrs. Beasley did not have batteries. Notice the pull string on the side of her body. :o)

  • I dont like that doll lol

  • Oh god I had one of these and loved her so very much. I use to wear her glasses and tote her everywhere.

  • I love Mrs. Beasley. She was the best toy that I ever had as a child. We did not get much, so she meant the world to me as a young girl.

  • who is mrs beasley? :s

  • Fallois

There was a T.V. show called Family Affair in the seventies. The young girl on the show (Buffy) had a Mrs. Beasley doll.

  • did you ever consider maybe it was mrs. beasley who started all these fires! just kidding, i loved her so much as a child, now i have a reproduction. not the same but glad to have her.

  • lol... that thing is older than me!

  • there was a fire in the apartment building we lived in when I was a kid and I remember saying "Don't worry Mrs. Beasley, I won't let you burn" - its kinda strange how some other comments reflect fires as well! Mrs. Beasley now sits in the corner of my room and freaks out all my guests. :)

  • Hi Mary...

My mother donated my Mrs. Beasley to a family that was burned out of their home. Even though it was a thoughtful gesture, I missed my doll terribly so I understand what you've gone through. It's nice to know that there are still collectors who have them around and usually you can find them on ebay. I repair their voiceboxes so if you do come across one in good shape and need her voice restored, drop me an email.

  • I had a Mrs. Beasley doll when I was little and she was burned in a house fire. I was inconsolable. Thank you for taking me back.

  • LOL...you guys are too funny. This Mrs. Beasley was a doll that I repaired for someone (who didn't have her glasses). I'll have to upload my Mrs. Beasley who DOES have her original glasses!

  • Oh, no.....Mrs. Beasley worn glasses.....she is original with her glasses.....please put her glasses on her!!!!

  • i had a mrs. beasly she had glasses
