I liked these Alfa Romeo 75s since they had the rear brakes inboard and the transmission was rear mounted. They did almost everything they can to evenly distribute the weight.

Laguna seca is a really nice racetrack ! I would love to have a go for a view laps. We here in Germany have the Nürburgring, but thats a complete different challange.

Being America it's got to be a 3 litre. Lesser engined Alfa 75's were never sold there.  Notice the tall gearing on the 75 Changing the diff for a 4.1:1 (as per GTV6) is the best mod one can do for more performance in these cars

that was highly entertaining, especially with the little subtext comments! i thought an nsx was supposed to be a supercar. guess it had a wimpy driver. and there's no excuse for the wrx, it's awd, easier to not spin out. that alfa has a great chassis apparently.

Well done, m'lord! Great vid. Sure brings back memories. The track seems strange with the new infield turns. When I drove there, the final turn was turn 9! The corkscrew was 5 & 6. Turn nine, the "hairpin" was a bunch narrower, and tighter. I think I would give my right arm to drive that course again. Yhanks for the post.

Laguna is 2.8 "officially"...but it's considered by MANY one of the GREAT U.S. circuits because of it's elevation changes. Mazda bought in about 5 years ago- the time to go is during "The Monterey Historics Weekend". Concours at Pebble Beach, the historic races at Laguna, auctions all over the penninsula. Book in advance. Space is at a PREMIUM. It's actually too much in too little time for what they do.

There are good drivers everywhere. I just drove Laguna Seca for the first time yesterday. There are some very good drivers there. You just don't see nor hear about them everyday. Besides, driving on the track is quite different from driving on public streets even though you can use some of the same track skills on public roads.

Cosmic: Dropped spindles and Porsche brakes were coming into contact ever so slightly to create the noise when under high load corners when running Hoosiers. It never showed up in street use. Parts have since been machined to avoid that.

This car is one of the first 164 engine conversions using Motronic and an S motor. Other upgrades is a lightened gearbox, Porsche brakes, and Beninca suspension. It has a full interior and is a comfortable street car as well. It's closing in on 100,000 miles as a dual street/time trial car (the previous 100K were all street), and just ran with Laguna again with two drivers, passing many supposedly faster cars. Such a fun car to drive!
