I saw this movie and I couldn't help but to laugh at the really, really cheesy special affects. If it wasn't for the hottish girls in it, I would have turned it off. I gotta ask about this part though; I was watching the movie on TV so naturally it cut out the best parts (the naked girls, damnit) but in the actual movie, did it show how the guy in the airplane after the floaties got ripped off, end up being in the water with his helper?...

Okay, the first Lake Placid movie had it's faults. However, it was a decent B movie. It had some things going for it. It gave people what they wanted, a lake ravaged by a giant crocodile!

It's a horror/comedy. I've seen Lake Placid 1, and it's more geared towards gross stuff, but it's more of an action than a horror.
