  • Nice clip, too!

  • ! One of my favorite songs-- thanks Evan "Funk" Davies of WFMU!

  • Speechless!!!!!!!

  • Eh...

  • ! One of my very favorite songs :o)

  • Is this the same version as the record? They don't do the last verse here, but I'm pretty sure they did on the version that was comped on What A Way To Die.

  • @BlackMonk66 The vocal arrangement is indeed different. You can compare it here v=uDF0sU8toak

  • Wow, these guys got such a heavy sound for the time.

  • buen tema , ese teclado mata!! saludos!

  • Good funny song. What does he buy with the money they bring him, since everybody's dead?

  • i've been in love with this video for two years now, so much so that the first time i commented it was on my old account <3

  • Ahhhhhhhhhh......

  • Out effin-standing!

  • Fantastically Fuzzy Freakbeat.......Fabulous!!!

  • ...it's a really great cover, but my initial feeling is that this is not from 1966. I would love, and welcome, to be proved wrong. The haircuts are wrong for 1966 also.

  • @sunrawb It is '66, most of the Scandinavian bands of '65/'66 wore extremely long hair ala The Pretty Things (tho' the Renegades were UK ex-pats based in Finland). By '67 they all started going for shorter mod style haircuts. Lots of Dutch bands were also notorious for freakishly long hair very early on. These Continental bands also tended to specialize in cruder, savage sounding records like this!

  • bill haley > renegades > fuzztones > no one

  • @1964jazzbass well pete turland has a fantastic version of this song too! check it out

  • Fecking Deadly!!!

  • LOOKS LIKE I FOUND SOME MORE GNARLY FUZZED-OUT FREAK BROTHERS!

  • FREAKBEAT AT ITS BEST !!!!!!!!!

  • Tight. Thanks tomtokenator!

  • two dislikes? - takes a huge lack of taste in music to hit the thumbs down button!

  • England was so far ahead of America. This stuff is immortal.

  • So much better than Beatles!

  • Does anybody know where this video is taken from?I thought it's from "Topralli" but I watched the movie and realized it isn't...

  • Pretty inventive considering it was a year before Sgt. Pepper's...

  • 1966? amazing

  • @moLeOnPoT THE best year for music!

  • This is just brilliant. great!

  • this owns

  • so cool!!!!!

  • 60's garage RULES!!!!

  • This is THE MOST KILLER version I've ever heard of this song! I have to get my hands on it. Peculiar video though...like, totally unrelated to the lyrics, and what's with the singer's facial expressions??

  • Good CRANK IT UP raw rock n' roll and probably the 1st head banging on video. So many great songs and real bands then. I had this 45 and I think it was from Finland.

  • its like time travelllllinnnngggg

  • Yes!! Thanx for reposting!

  • good song!

  • Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhh!

  • Aces.. Koolness

  • I love this video to death, but I do wish the women were better actresses at the end of the video or they cut it out a little earlier.

  • 13 Women was released in 1954 by Bill Haley and the Comets, but it was Rock Around the Clock, the flip side that made history.

The Renegades really rocked up this tune!

  • Brilliant British Band! Kickin' Ass!

  • @6motion6 shit is played in the US all the time, you just have to look

    Just BadAss!

  • From Finland Tampella´s Factory!

  • This rocks!

  • Who play lead guitar?Brilliant!

  • Makes the Stones look like Choirboys

  • This is from Finnish television! A channel called Yle Teema(Upper Right Corner), this must have aired just a few years ago max!

  • Absolutely smokin. Thanks for making this video reappear. One of my all time favorites.

  • is this old or made to look old ?

  • no its not

  • completely mind bogglingly brilliant!

  • looks like punk

  • I love it!!

  • So damn cool.....

  • Is this the very first Music Video? No? IDK im pretty ingnorant when it comes to music video history but this shit is old. The filming kicked ass.

  • Song and group?

  • The Renegades - 13 women

I couldnt find anything anywhere....there were/are so many bands with the name renegades. I all i want is to buy their album but its fucking impossible.

  • I have this song on a 2 disc compilation of 60's punk garage bands. The comp. is called "Hang it out to Dry". I bought it in Hoboken, NJ about 15years ago. Excellent stuff.

  • It's on Songs We Taught The Fuzztones, which looks like a seriously good album, I really want to get my hands on it.

  • cool

  • Great version of a song that was originaly done by Bill Haley in the fifties. I beleive it was the b'side of one of his earl yhits

  • ....*stunned*...what the hell just happened there...? Fuckin AWESOME tune...like, totally...

  • the pretty things from hell they kick-ass

  • A WORK OF EXTREME GENIUS!

  • is this band really from the 60's? they fucking rock!!!

  • What are you talking about??? A lot of bands from the late sixties rocked.

  • oh hell yeah i know that, the beatles, the stones, the kinks, the who, the yardbirds, the velvet undeground, the stooges, led zeppelin, this band. do u know any info on this band?

  • These guys was a Brtitish band who moved to Finland and made a career as popstars in the mid 60's. They got a big hit with Cadillac and later also 13 Women.

  • I'm starting to believe this might have been the first music video (non-Scopitone) in which the music actually fit into the lyrics of the tune. (Renegades might have been more ahead of their time than even they thought they might be).

  • Excuse me (long day), I meant to write the images of the vid. fit into the lyrics of the tune.

  • It's fucking great!

  • Anyone got a copy of Black Diamonds - 'See The Way'? I think that was taken down too. :/

  • The BEST and complete version of this song on Youtube!

  • very cool

  • Freakbeat ist eine Bezeichnung, die von Musiksammlern stammt und meint nicht radiokompatible englische Beataufnahmen der Endsechtziger. Kenne ich noch aus Radio 100 Zeiten.

  • Yea I was wondering what happened to this video, thanks for reuploading it ;)

  • this seems pretty wild for them

  • Really, you think so? How many fabric mills do you see in England these days?

  • Well, ok. It's a 1954 Bill Haley hit called Thirteen women (and only one man in town). But why we don't have any newer pictures of the members of the band (like in the 80's or 90's or if they're still alive, in 2000's)?

  • You can get this song off the album "Complete Cadillac". It's a compilation of all their songs. The Label is WEA and it came out in 2007.

  • i've been searching different songs, older stuff.with the right choices a person could redo so many of these that they would be hits today, with the right group, singer.alot of bands have done it,people think they wrote it.and on here people think they know everything so it would keep that vicious cicle going.i like going back to the originals and just seeing how much they changed the song and sure enough alot of them stay pretty true to the original.very cool.all music is good, some better/worse.

  • That's real punkr rockkkkk.

  • fucking love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whoooh !...that is brilliant !!!

  • There's a Renegades compilation called "Complete Cadillac" out on Warner Music Finland. A lot of the band's output is surprisingly polished and tame compared to this. I found the comp on iTunes.

  • I love that "A 40 Carrot I Suppose", fits the song so damn snugly

  • his voice is great

  • The best! This is my new favourite song!

  • f*king genius....eat your beans and shut up!

  • ACE!!!!

Classic garage punk made famous by The Fuzztones' compilation "Song We Taught".

Didn't know there was a clip for this, killa!

  • Holy shit this is awesome.

  • i'm addicted to this clip.

  • This was long before MTV and music videos. I have not seen this one before, and it is now a favorite, even with Kim's crazy looks.

  • Comment removed

  • still unreeeeeeeeel!!!!

  • GROOVY!!!!!

  • Crazy stuff. This was filmed in Finland, they were huge over here.

  • Cool!!!!!!!

  • Rip Ian Mallet

  • This could be one of the most perfect film clips I've ever seen.

  • amazing cover, better than bill haley's version!

thirteen women and only one man in town!

  • or as they used to say "knocks spots off it"

  • Great Band, wonderfull Song!

(May it not be found by Kid Rock to make a cover of it)

  • Awesome

  • The Renegades, Blue Cheer and Swamp Rats are all real killer bands against which most contemporary groups have absolutely no footing at all. I just don't get it. The reason why I collect early punk is because to me it has an incredible charisma and youthful vigor.. emulations of the genre just seem to be weak.

  • The vocal´s look like ozzy osbourne or kurt cobain!!!!!!!!!!

  • korrr, this is so "NO FEAR" a bit like the Clash's "...and i live by the river..."

  • This is the same version from What A Way To Die comp great song and great comp!

  • Thanks! It seems like this a differnt version from the record too :)
