  • what show is this

  • that's what the mavs get for not showing steve kerr some respect.haha

  • Video lag fail.

  • Musberger must have had some money on the Spurs that night.

  • i remember this game. steve kerr was in the zone

  • Steve is a great role player and one of the smartest players around. He wouldn't hit as many off the dribble or with defence on him like ray or reggie, but he is one of the great all-time spot-up shooters. I like the story of his fight with Michael in Chicago. Michael kept pushing him in practice and they started throwing punches. Luc Longley had to get between them! Steve wouldn't back down from Michael or anyone.

  • haha why did idiot nash keep doubling on duncan

  • @chitownsuperfan cause duncan is the best powerforward ever and the double team on him had been working the whole night.

  • @fannypak2 well kerr is the best shooter ever so... give up 2 points or 3 points?

  • @chitownsuperfan ray allen or reggie miler are the best shooters ever, but he is definitively up there. but it really doesn't matter cause he pushed the spurs on to the finals where they would take home the championship

  • @fannypak2 true point - but i do need to point out that kerr is the only player in HISTORY to go 50-90-50 for a season (50% FG, 90% FT, 50% 3P-FG). Ray-ray and Reg were better overall players, but not better pure shooters. Check out the book "The Art of a Beautiful Game" by Chris Ballard, written in 2008 - he has a chapter about the pure shooter. If you're an NBA fan, you'll definitely like the book (written in 2009).

  • Gottta Love Kerr. Guy looks more like a UPS delivery man than a NBA player

  • steve kerr got 5 rings!!! gary payton = none. dont play it!!!

  • @peplajso Gary Payton has a ring: 2006 with Miami.

  • @hakola95 uuuuh, my fault! i forgot... but still... somebody like steve kerr or robert horry was doing/dominating in a particular part of the game such as the key shots with only couple seconds left and they achieved more team success than some superstars

  • @peplajso Good point. One of my favorite bits of NBA history is that for 10 straight seasons (1994-94 to 2002-2003), EVERY champion team had either Horry or Kerr on the roster.

  • @hakola95 kerr and horry were great role players! every single team needs players like them! look at dennis rodman, he could not make a damn foul shot, but still got 5 rings!!!

  • Steve Kerr is just being pure humble "Nobody expecting anything out of me..."

He's a 3 time NBA Champ, NBA Three-Point Shootout Winner, he's got more rings than anyone in that game at that time, he knows in his heart Mavs is in for trouble.

  • @IwasBannedfromYtube 5 NBA Champions !

  • @TheDignam I'm talkin bout when he just joined Spurs

  • I watched this game. The Spurs were down, what, 15? Then they ran all over the Mavs with Steve Kerr leading the way with those 3-pointers. Nice.

  • He made 4 three pointers in a row? That's sick.

  • @seadoofan83 dont be such a hater

  • kerr's career 3pt % is unbelieveable. 45%!

  • Sorry, ray allen= best pure shooter ever

  • @USAPatriot7761 look up steve kerr man. he still is has the best 3 point shooting ratio to date.

  • Steeeeeevvvvvveeeee Kerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

  • lol @ the tone getting dark... "In the East, Jason Kidd..."

  • Chicago had a ridiculous team in the 90's!

  • if you leave steve kerr or robert horry open ..your gonna lose my friends!

  • BALLARD

  • i want kerr's jump shot

  • @therussiannerd lmfao, hell yea. I do too !!!

  • One of the most important parts of this video is that you get to see David Robinson at his finest. What a class act and a great teammate. It's great just watching him talk about his teammates. Such a humble guy who loved the game.

  • "Steevee Kerr!!!!!" Puh-leeez, Brent!

  • Mavs choke and choke and choke again

  • The Mav's coach blew it. How do you rotate off of Steve Kerr, the NBA's career leader in 3-pt shooting percentage. Especially when they have the lead. Plain stupidity. Kerr rocks. Loved his Bull's 1997 championship speech. He is so funny.

  • 100% pure shooter

  • dallas mavchokers

  • Great stuff thanks for the post..!!!

  • one of the great clutch shooters in history

  • anyone else other than timvp tried the nba training system for dunking and shooting? Even players like Gilert Arenas have suggested this training. If you have no idea what's I'm talking about, just check it out urself | 50 inch vertical [dot] com |

Steve kerr four three-pointers against Mavericks

  • @kzdavis1000 uh i think the suns made it to the conference semifinals!! lol due some research

  • @ScottyThe22 Lol what about the season before when he tried to put shaq on the team? and tried to hire a defensive coach? they didn't even make it to the playoffs. this season he learned from his mistakes and put alvin gentry as the coach and traded away shaq... theres your research. enjoy.

  • stevie made history with that shots, stevie is the one and only.

  • Steve Kerr is a great player, but one of THE worst GMs I've ever seen. Way to destroy, kill, and bury a perfectly good suns team.

An Ex-Spur being the GM of the Suns...yup smart choice there.

  • Suns are doing pretty well mate :)

  • like kirk hinrich but hes better

  • Kirk is a way better defender, better point guard, better in a lot of things, but Steve is a better shooter. Shooting percentage wise, one of the best 3 point shooter of all time.

  • I remember this game!

  • Sasha Vujacic is the worst player in the universe. give me a 45 year old steve kerr over sasha vujacic anyday. im a die hard laker fan and sasha is a bitch

  • @SonicBoom91 thats accurate my man, im a spurs fan and when LA won last year i was cool with it, except for sasha vujacic, he was classless when LA beat my Spurs in 2008, he didnt have to shoot that 3 in the end, the game and series was over, like you said Sasha is a bitch.

  • @SonicBoom91 kerr an sasha is a good shooters, you are the bitch

  • @SonicBoom91 lol i agree

  • @SonicBoom91 sasha buy-a-bitch

  • I remember this game. Its one of the best games ive ever seen. Stevie kerr was one fire on this one.

  • @vinsane01 a very smart player. kerr was even a better 3 point shooter than a lot of superstars. he pulled through & helped out a lot of his team mates during his career. 5 rings !

  • My favourite whiteboy....gotta love Steve Kerr.

  • every team needs a whiteboy that can shoot.

  • don't see how ethnicity is really relevant with shootin' 3s.

  • U don't gotta see it. I just said every team needs a whiteboy that can shoot. Almost every great team in the past had atleast 1 or 2.

  • 08 celtics, 04 pistons?

  • i know what hes tlkin about black people for the most part are slashers and white people are normally shooters and fundamental players

  • that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard

  • Damn Steven...

  • lagging

  • Very interesting video... out of synch ruins it completely though. Big shame. You should re upload it.

  • yo...i remember this game man...dallas was confused....haha,

  • one of the best shooting displays I've ever seen............SPURS ALL DAY BABY!.........

  • I'm still so bitter. So very, very bitter.

    Steve Kerr = THE TRUTH

  • what about horry?

  • this is out of sync, but a good video nonetheless

  • last second shot is all toni kukoc

  • how many threes did he have that night?

  • 6 of them

  • I remember watching this game, he had 4 HUGE shots that changed the momentum. Man I wish he was still in Chicago.

  • Alright NBA Fans...who would you rather have on your team

    1.Sasha Vujacic

    2.Dan Marjele

    3.Jeff hornacek

    4.Steve Kerr

    6.John Paxson

    7.Kyle Koover

    8.Rex Chapman

    9.Detleft Schrempf or

    10.jason Kapono

  • I would take sasha

  • I think i would take Kerr, or maybe Hornacek... I would take Hornacek.

  • dang, do you have NBA TV? they play throwback games all day....and I never realized how good the NBA was in the 90's I think that was the best era....But yeah Hornacek over Kerr

  • No, I don't have NBA TV cuz im not living in USA. I just like Hornacek much more than Kerr.

  • I'm sorta second guessing and wanting Marjele..but I would probably go with Paxson.

Outta curiousity how did Vuajacic land on this list if any Laker it should be ex-Laker Horry.

  • I was listing who I think were the best White Pure shooters...I know Hornacek and Schtempf did alot more then shoot but thats what they did best to me

  • O by mad. Well then without a shadow of a doubt, the best "pure" shooter is Steve Kerr. Vujacic, Marjele, etc dibble, crossover, etc. Kerr all he can do (his sole good given talent lol) is spot up and shot. And he great at it...as a Bull's fan back in the day..when he did put it on the floor..it was like..NOooo lol.

  • kerr, or ray allen

  • kerr or hornacek to take my last shot, dan marjle during the game

  • 1. Kerr

    2. Paxson

    2. Hornacek

  • Jason kapono

  • 1997 finals game 6 to win the champianship

  • Kerr was a legend

  • i remeber watching this game with my cousin, and wen the spurs were down i said kerr should play, games about over. then he did this. it was awesome

  • that guy came out of nowhere and it pissed me off!!! lol idk why but this playoff series made me a mavericks fan. maybe cause it was the first time i really sat down to watch a game and not just hear about jordan being the best and kobe and shaq winning championships you know......stupid steve kerr

  • Kerr dint come out of nowhere he won championships with Bulls(3), Spurs(2, he is the only NON-Celtic to win 4 rings in a row!

  • well what i meant was that he hadnt played much all season.

  • Are you kidding me came out of nowhere? he is the NBA all time leader in 3pt field goal percentage

  • Reggies first then ray allen then i think bird and then kerr

  • no he is the all time with like 450%+ idk the exact number

  • Your right, he owns the highest 3pt fg percentage in the history of the nba.

Even Barkley said it himself, if he could have anyone take the last shot, it was be Steve Kerr. Jordan trusted him to take the last shot in 97 as well....Hes just a clutch shooter whenever hes needed.

  • Not the highest... maybe in top 3 but not highest. I think either Reggie Miller or Ray Allen.

  • "Steve Kerr also retired as the league's all-time leader in three-point shooting percentage for a season (.524 in 1994-95) and career (.454)" When Reggie retired his career percentage was .395 from 3-point range. Ray Allen isnt as high as Kerr's either but Ray Allen does own almost all the records for Three points made in a quarter, game, and year.

  • wow... you did some research ;) and i take it back that reggie miller and ray allen are in the top 3... steve nash is #2 with .431

  • i can't understad how such a skinny totally unathletic white man could play at such a high level. i guess his excellent shooting and high IQ did the job

  • Kerr was a great player!

  • One of the best guys ever! I was at a bday party in the 90s at Super Just Games in 2nd grade and he was there with his wife and kid. As Chicago kids growing up in the era, we worshipped the whole team.

We were all too scared to go up and ask for his autograph but his wife came in while we were eating cake and asked if he could sign anything for us.

We SPRINTED out of the room and surrounded him in seconds. I'll never forget that day and what he meant to me and my friends for doin that.

  • My favourite player since middle school! ! ! He still is! ! !

  • His jumper is just like Nash's

  • i miss steve kerr on u of a wildcats

  • Pretty good shooter, pretty crappy GM.

  • he had no choice. Marion wanted out so was going to leave after this season... so either get shaq 4 marion or nothing

  • completely incorrect. A) Marion would not have opted out of his final year. $17M is too much money to leave on the table. B) So instead of trading for equal value, you trade for an oft injured 36 year old Shaq? who only has one additional season on his contract than Marion does? C) If Marion does opt out you can always sign and trade. You can't sign and trade with Shaq because no one wants him.

  • best sixth man ever in the nba

  • He is a great 6th man but I think Manu is just a little better.

  • Manu is better IMO... but I don't consider him a 6th man. He gets more playtime than the starters soI don't count that as a 6th man. I agree with ur sentiment though

  • I would have to totally agree with you there. The many times he's saves the bulls especially in the 72-10 season is just remarkable! I miss the good ole Bulls!

  • HELL YEA! steve kerr over the Mavs and wut Dallas Fans WE went on to win the 2003 mavs couldnt do that in 2006 Cuz they SUCK!GO SPURS!!!

  • I remember this moment pissing me the hell off!!!

  • Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • i hope brent barry will be like steve kerr someday

  • he is good.. I love steve kerr

  • He's an inspiration to show that if you can shoot, you can make it in the NBA, even if you're small.

  • Kerr could have told the other four players on his team to sit on the bench while he wrapped things up by himself.

  • The highest percentage 3 pointer shooter in the WHOLE NBA HISTORY.

  • lol TRJ, your first problem is that you allowed the game of basketball to dictate your happiness. Sports are great, but you sir have taken it a bit far... Boohoo, get a real life.

  • this is the greatest comback in the history of the nba :)

  • no its not

  • ...are you trying to be Bill Walton?

  • The best shooter EVER!!!!

  • so get over it i was happy that my team beat the mavericks this is one of the best comebacks in nba history and dont blame it on steve kerr blame it on stephen jacson he got us going by hitting three three-pointers himself

  • popovich reminds me of saw

  • I left a comment about david robinson looking gay yesterday.well i went to work today and this clip entered my mind. so naturally I went home to watch it again and realized he is really a gay ass!look at him talk and jump around and shit 1:10 then he taps him on the ass lol

  • your just mad cause your team lost to the spurs and if david is gay then why do he have kids you dumbass and he married

  • I never relized how gay davud robinson is. just look at him.hes a flame ass

  • lmao

  • popovich look like a dumbass with that haircut

  • you would know about being gay you queer you just want david robinson in bed you heaping faggot you flaming homo go spurs go its david noy davud learn how to spell before you talk trash you bitch lol

  • Man, as a Bulls fan, I was saying that whole series they need to put steve kerr in, they'd always pan to him on the bench..... Everyone knows you can't double team with Steve Kerr in the game, hes hitting nothing but net.

  • Steve Kerr is the greatest 3point shooter in NBA history. No one can touch him.

Too bad the audio was about 3 seconds off sync.

  • Do you realize how great of a player you have to be to have your number retired? It's less likely than the Hall of Fame. Kerr only played with the Bulls for 4 seasons and was a great three point shooter. He did not lead a team. He simply doesn't deserve to have a retired number.

  • i miss steve kerr

  • i hate dallas the suck i dont like the spurs that much cuz of ginobli and all but its spurs beating mavricks everytime

  • hey!gnobili is 1 of the best players in spurs...!idiot!he's d man!

  • sure he is.. for people how cant afford to buy cable have u seen him this year he sucks more than josh howard

  • and how can you say that?why?what's the fact?

  • Why hasn't Steve Kerr number been retired by the Bulls or the Spurs. He was the 3point king in Chicago and he hit some huge shots for both ball clubs that most other players would miss he was an underrated clutch shooter!I didn't see Antonio Daniels,Steve Smith,Vinny Del Negro,Avery Johnson,Jaren Jackson make those open shots with ease at the end of games.

  • LOL because if they retired his number they would have to retire every semi-decent player who played for any team's number. That would require retiring toni kukoc, horace grant...hell why not the entire friggin team.

  • As many shots he hit to win games and championships more than one he like Robert Horry should have their numbers retired.Avery'snumber will be retired because of his game winning jumpshot and he passed up Johnny Moore's assit total and he spent 10 years with the Spurs

  • Thanks timvp, great post! How about David jumping around like a kid - awesome!

And it wasn't just the 3s! How about Kerr's gorilla D on Nash while he was out there?

  • Good to know that SA being better then Dallas is now in the "History" section of the NBA. Dallas Mavs, 2007 Champs, and the best team in Texas

  • ok moron, just because the mavs have the best record doesn't mean they're gonna win it all, i think i remember the suns having the best record in '05 but the spurs beat 'em. 3 rings for the spurs, 0 for the mavs

  • Spurs-past, Mavs-present/future. Too bad you wont get the chance to lose to us this year.

  • yeah there the best, I mean they're gonna sweep golden state

    hahahahah, fucken dumbass

  • You fuckin retard haha!!!

  • Steve Kerr played for the bulls.

    5 rins =/

  • I love steve kerr, hes so clutch. BTW bulls have 6 rings :) 3 with kerr :)

  • Still Nash, Finley, Van Exel had a great series, the final quarter of that game was just awful

  • I'll absolutely never forget this moment for the rest of my life, I was still pretty young at the time and this put me into a depression for months, I'd been a Mavs fan for about 7 years by then and I HATED the Spurs

  • uhh whos laughing we got 3 rings and mavs have none?

  • 3 year revenge and we laugh at san an!

  • Spurs suck

  • Yeah Mavs suck. This is the same dude who hit that clutch jumper near the end of Game 6 of the 97 Finals with the Bulls behind, and yet they still left him wide open.

  • That was a good game. I enjoy reading his comments on yahoo. great nba sportswriter

  • Mavs couldn't get the job done in 2003, now 3 years later they make the Finals and still lose. Typical Dallas.

  • Dallas lost the series with Miami because of $tern and the officials. Stephen A. Smith, Barkley, Hubie Brown, and even Reggie Miller said the refs screwed Dallas over.

  • i still remember this video, dallas was suppose to win this game but i forgot that steve kerr is michael jordans secert weapon

  • it wouldve been nice to see nash, finley and nowitzki go 2 finals 2gether but now werein the finals

  • It still pains me to see that video. :( I'll never forget how upset/angry I was watching the Mavs crumble like that.
