Nice car man! I just bought an 86 GT.. Body is amazing and NO rust anywhere at all.. Good for a midwest car like mine in missouri:) But my 302 is shot and in need of a rebuild.. 351 worth it? If so how much did it cost for everything?

I have seen a couple of 87-93 cars that can run Conv. car motor mounts and if they run a small enough air filter on the carb, it WILL fit..

I have HEARD of people doing this on the 4-Eyed cars, but i am not sure.. I am pretty sure the 351 is only an inch or 2 taller than the 302.. but i havent done the swap, so i dunno.

ES shows to be performance red. EY shows to be vibrant red. I am not sure what color code is correct for the 1993 cobra. So what your saying is that u painted your car color code ES. Not EY. Just trying to get clarification cause I really like the way your car looks.

the lx cars had the third brakelight not the gts i have never had agt with the brake light and have owned 85 and 86 and right now i own a 841/2 gt350 it does not have one

in 1986 a federal mandate said ALL cars had to have a high mounted 3rd brake light and yes all 86 mustangs GT/LX had a 3rd brakelight, but the same dosnt go for 1985 and previous

This car is seriously peaced together...85 had a carb..the hood scoop is pre 85, and like you said trird brake light is 86

of course it pieced together....mustangs in 85 didnt have 351s in them. and more and more people are goin to fuel injection when they build a motor. dont get me wrong carbs are great....my truck has one but fuel injection is more efficient and a lot easier to fix if something goes wrong. i hate rebuilding a carb lol
