Virtually, any civilian contractor with a military contract, is most likely making an enormous profit. We've all heard about the $60,000.00 toilet seat story, but actually, I can agree with you on that one. Military contracts are the ones that these companies wet-dream over. Gotta be the highest of priorities for them.
The Offsprey is another oersonal pet projects of politicians. The aircraft is complete crap because it cant fly by itsel into danger. They haven't even mounted the cannon in the front.
This needed to have a nail put in its coffin a long time ago, just like we did to the F22. It is so hard for people who spend so much time on a project realize that they wasted their time.
@borbor122 the f-22 isnt cancelled.Just further production of the aircraft is abandoned.Theres many f-22s flying over north korea and often on secret recon missions in iran.
The 60,000 is actually an example of embezzling or funneling set money to other departments/interests such as research. Although you're right, contractors make a killing.
You do realize that the helicopters get sent ahead they are not there to protect the ospreys idiot they are their to provide fire support for ground troops
but... your just talking about only this missions circumstances.... there have been plenty plenty plenty plenty of other aircraft in the world that dont go at full speed for a bunch of reasons...

So the Ospreys have to fly at a much slower speed than they are capable of because they fly with other, much slower helicopters. How crazy is that !.
