I heard a jazz interpretation of this song recently which showed what a great tunesmith Robert Palmer was: rise above the non-Palmer parts of the video & the ubiquitous advertising & listen to the music. You'll see what I mean. This works for a lot of utube Palmer - his unique voice & personna, great tunes and lyrics live on, in spite of whatever schlock the commercial world of the time laid on top.

I can't stand this video but the song, my god the song is so unlike anything else.  It is the kind of song you play over and over and over and never get tired of. This was/is my favorite song by him and, although I wouldn't consider myself a HUGE fan of his work it is a testament to the man for me to say that this song is also one of my all time favorite songs by anyone. Brilliant, just brillant.
