Just the regular GT500 07-09 is capable of 180+ I'm sure the KR without the limiter would be around 185 or better..The KR's dyno around 510-515 to the rear wheels bone stock...The GT500 is usually around 447-450+...500 or KR is no joke.

I wouldn't trade up my '04 Terminator for a Shelby anything. They're so incredibly heavy. I love everything else about the car, except well the live axle bothers me, but.. that's what muscle car owners want, an IRS is hell at a drag strip, I know, my Terminator has an IRS. But I much prefer great handling, braking, etc etc. With my Kenne Bell upgrade and tune I can smoke that 80k car, and mine looks just as good, and handles great. 2003 & 2004 Cobra's; best mustangs ever built, period.

The 2.8, although I really should have gone with the 2.6 because I run a very modest tune. It's a daily driver and I want it to run strong for a good long time, plus I beat it hard on the circuit. Unlike drag racing, which is still hard on the engine, and harder on the drivetrain, running the circuit is VERY hard on the engine. The laps add up.
I dont think there will be a Camaro with a Zr1 shoved in it any time soon. GM is strugling with the amount of models they have allready. They cant support another model until they get better financially. Thats not too say someone might do it aftermarket, but i really doubt there will be a factory direct one.

Yup, this made me so happy. It did it with a much smaller engine, and I think both others have a 100+HP advantage as well, it's just great.
Anyways yeah, the 2010 GT with the track package is a quick car, I think the only GT that can run with a Terminator, well 0-60, Termy's gone by about the 1/8th mile.
Yeah, very happy indeed about this test, other magazines commented on all the numbers as well, and considering the prices, the new GT is a REAL winner.
The mustang is better than the terribly heavy Camaro and the plain terrible Charger, but it's still not a car to select because it's a performer. I like Mustangs, and Ford's simply a better maker than most, but the Mustang is not much of a sports car. It's a fun powerful car than is almost designed to lose control under power, so as to be more fun. Don't try to win a real race with one.

Although a zo6 may win, I would love to have this car, for the looks, history, and that 540hp is more than enough. It's a Cobra, and f*ing nice one at that. Yeah NO SHIT a Z06 would take the Shelby. Its engine bay is bad of magnesium and the majority of the body is made of carbon fiber. Its lighter and sports a 7.0L super charged V8.

For the best all around, a 05 coupe vette with z51 option. It has slight Hp/weight disadvantage to 04 z06, but has identical gearing ratios, thus retaining much of z06 feel. The new HID lamps are a definite plus for night driving. Unlike z06, the roof can be removed- nice to occasionally drive w. roof off. Only downside for some may be the keyless entry- can sometimes be pita.
The Base GT 500 gets the KR 500 Enigine,Upgraded Suspension and Interior, Updated Body Style, Not to mention Electronic Anti Skid, Rearview Camera, Voice Activated Cell Phones and MP3 Players and an All Glass Roof, just to name a few, Announced for 2010.

A GT500KR is slower than a Z06 in everything. The ZO6 is lighter with almost the same hp, has an LS engine (crazy power potential) has better brakes, handles better and costs 10k less.

A zo6 would take it, there is a vid about it, but just because the cobra is MUCH heavier. But the thing is, if you had any one of these cars, wouldn't you be satisfied? Although a zo6 may win, I would love to have this car, for the looks, history, and that 540hp is more than enough. It's a Cobra, and f*ing nice one at that. So all you haters need to get a life, because the truth is, the vast majority of you will NEVER be able to drive a car that even comes miles close to this one.

Yeah NO SHIT a Z06 would take the Shelby. Its engine bay is bad of magnesium and the majority of the body is made of carbon fiber. Its lighter and sports a 7.0L super charged V8.

For the best all around, a 05 coupe vette with z51 option. It has slight Hp/weight disadvantage to 04 z06, but has identical gearing ratios, thus retaining much of z06 feel. The new HID lamps are a definite plus for night driving. Unlike z06, the roof can be removed- nice to occasionally drive w. roof off. Only downside for some may be the keyless entry- can sometimes be pita.

somewhere on this place theirs a race between the crappy gtr and the ford gt, and the ford gt beat it, it was around turns and had a long striaght away, the ford gt is an amazing car, which is why it won the race in lemans 4 years in a row, and the engineers who designed the gtr even admitted who great of a car the ford gt is, its just americans are thick headed with vehicles and think they know it all.

A GT500KR is slower than a Z06 in everything. The ZO6 is lighter with almost the same hp, has an LS engine (crazy power potential) has better brakes, handles better and costs 10k less.
