Since this preceded Tony Orlando & Dawn's version, when the song was known as He Will Break Your Heart", as done in versions by Jerry Butler and by the Groovers, I wonder if "He Will Break Your Heart" is the title that was originally listed for this rendition.

Twice over the years, I tried to get through on identify-the-song contests on radio stations (once in DC, once in Phila) involving the Jerry Butler version. Both times, the announced "winner" was someone who gave the title as "He Don't Love You Like I Love You". This was after the Tony Orlando hit. I called one of the radio stations to complain, and after checking with the DJ, the receptionist told me that either title was going to be accepted. The winning answer was not correct in my book!

@rslitman- yes, it looks like you are right that the title is "He Will Break Your Heart". This seems to be one of those songs that people identify the song by a lyric in the tune rather than the correct title. There are a few songs like this where people don't know the real title and identify the song by a recurring lyric. Ron
