  • 20 years ............. and the rest

  • Ric Flair takes self-love up a notch in this one......

  • Dusty Rhodes...Your history!

  • lmao at 1:39 " Don't put that camera on those girls when im on tv!" guy in the background " that's right!"

  • ...and then he did.

  • try 26 years isen't it time you retire. lol great promo ric those were "the good ol days of wrestling".

  • How prohetic. :) He DID stick around for another 20 years, more like 26 now. WHOOOOOOOO!

  • girl @ :17 CUTE

  • Ric Flair was always bigger than NWA / the territories or Japan. He made every tv show, bingo hall, armory gym and ball park into an event and made himself a real superstar without Vince jr.

  • The Rock is the only one in Flair's class when it comes to cutting promos. Flair is all by himself when it came to putting guys over in promos.

  • @TheLuscious disagree randy savage jake the snake n hbk talk abt themselves 4 days 2

  • Rick sounds a lot like Charlie Sheen.

  • @cpqarray Great minds think alike. Normal people call them insane, b/c they don't understand genius when they hear it.

  • looks like a 70s elvis robe

  • @bettydaw1970 That's the whole idea... his entrance music was even the same as Elvis used Strauss's Also sprach Zarathustra

  • "What's causing all this?" Love it. Flair in his prime. '85? In 26 years none have come close to doing a promo as good as this.

  • @BigStankinThang really? how about mic foley?

  • @bettydaw1970 OK Mick IS good. Very passionate but Mick is sometimes too goofy for my liking and he loses the seriousness. Ric NEVER waivers on professional wrestling being the greatest sport in the world, not once, that separates the good from the great.

  • I never knew which was better: the wrestling feuds or Ric Flair cutting a promo.. I watched a whole episode of wrestling one time. The whole show was ok..Flair come out the last 8 minutes, cut a promo for damn near 6minutes and seemed like I had just watched a world title match

  • Amazing promo..nothing like it..

  • So Crocket bought this time slot from the wwf after georgia sold it to vince and then they dropped the mid atlantic name and became WCW?

  • 20 years? Going on 30.

  • Pound for pound the greatest professional wrestler of all time-- No one else will ever come close!!!!!

  • "That's Right..."

  • This is like church.

  • i love that guy that says "thats right" for everything lol

  • I thought The Rock and Austin were very good on the mic as well as Shawn Michaels. But when i watch old Flair videos like this it reminds me why he was the best of them all at cutting promos.

  • What's causing all this?! Classic!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey you keep that camera on me man! lol hes the best of all times

  • ha, he cracks himself up at one forty nine

  • THAT'S RIGHT !!!!!

  • when flair was in the wwe. he worked with jobbers who got a push , made no money for vince and were fired by vince. ric got paid really good money to do charity work for vince. in other words flair worked with nobdies compared to the talent in the 80's.

  • he's been around over 20 years!

  • very prophetic. It's too bad his move set is now limited to backhand chops and that's it. Poor old guy just cant let it go and retire. Sad to see.

  • @don417 He doesn't wrestle anymore does he? I thought he retired and just does like managing or stuff like that.

  • @binka21 well, I know he was wrestling just a few months ago. I dont really follow TNA so I cant say when his last match was.

  • I didn't know Ric Flair had a hype man back then. *hahaha*

  • @smoothpants THAT'S RIGHT....LOL...FUNNY CAUSE THAT GUY IS WHAT MAKES THIS MY FAVORITE FLAIR PROMO

  • @smoothpants who?

  • i love it when...he starts name ing ppl... just sounds good rollin off his tongue...just shows how much of asset he ws to others in the fam/business!

  • ric flair just cut an awesome promo for his match this weekend against jay lethal. so i was just cruising some of his older ones. the man still has it today. it was the best promo i've heard in at least a month and with the amount of wrestling iwatch thats saying something... brother!

  • And that the reason why we all dont remember Rocky King vs Mac Jeffers...

  • 20 years +?

  • Man Im so high on being ric flair each day of my life! I just might my stick around another 20 years

  • You could always tell that Tony Schiavone loved working with Ric Flair....

  • @GBev2K Yes, but do you think he gave the dirtiest player in the game any moustache rides? I mean you've heard the stories. You know how sick these wrestlers are when they get good and drunk and fucked up.

  • Man, this cracks me up every time. You couldn't be this good if you didn't really buy into the act 100%.

  • find another planet cuz i reserve the stratusphere for the american dream!!!!!!!

  • LOL @ 0:50 YEA! HE'S IN TROUBLE!

  • LEAVE THE MEMORIES ALONE

  • Ric the greatest wrestler of all time!!!

  • Ric Flair: Quite simply the greatest athlete AND showman of all time.

  • Before "The Rock" there was "Ric"

  • keep that bitch on me man!!!! gotta love it

  • @mewilliams83

Actually, he said "keep that picture on me man."

  • Flair is the best professional wrestler of all time. And I loved how he always had his own "amen corner" when he was on TV. Listen and you can hear some guy with a deep voice in the background sayin "Yea!!" and "That's right!!" nearly every time RF paused. Just too cool for school!!!

  • youre the man ric,,,youre the man !

  • The greatest salesman of all time. Period.

  • I wish our politicians took on this persona.. Seriously.. My favorite Ric Flair promo that is out on YouTube today.

  • Slick Rick!!wooo

  • The Greatest of em all!!

  • Thats Right!.....Thats Right Ric!! That guy in the background yelling that towards the end of the video got as pumped as I did watching this. Ric Flair = The G.O.A.T!

  • Jesus Christ, Flair's promos are HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE. This man is the yardstick where all wrestlers should be measured. It's so sad how the art of "the promo" has been lost among wrestling. Flair and Jake Roberts were fucking MASTERS at their craft.

  • Fantastic video

  • KRUSHER KHRUSHCHEV vs. SAM HOUSTON jan 11 1986

  • To be the man.You gotta beat the MAN

  • LOL, what's funny is Ric DID stick around for another 20 years, and then some.

  • No kidding! i have and old 1980's vid when Kerry Von Erich beat him for the belt and the camera pans in and he calls all the Von Erich brothers in the ring and tells them "Remember this and tell your old man. YOU AINT SEEN THE LAST OF RIC FLAIR" i didnt think it was the truth! LOL

  • @DocLeggz About 30 more yrs. Hes not stupid he knew a Gold Mine when he had it in his lap. Dont he still come on and announce on WWE sometimes. I dont have a TV so I have no idea.

  • @scumgod13 Actually, he still comes on and wrestles on TNA occassionaly and he's a big part of AJ Styles' storyline right now. So, yeah, Nature Boy is still banking.

  • @scumgod13 Flair is currently preparing to battle mick foley in a last man standing match

  • Dude there isn't a person in the WWE today who could come within 10 miles of doing a promo like that.

  • Damm right

  • Vince should hire Ric and Dusty Rhodes to teach a class how to do promos

  • @jonnymack The only person that could ever do a promo as good as Flair is Roddy Piper. Thats my opinion but Flair himself admitted it during an interview.

  • Oh, it was on that show Off the record that hes watching a promo of himself and he says Hulk Hogan couldnt do that,he named a few others that couldnt but then said Roddy Piper could. I thought it was cool cause Piper is one of my favorites and hes basically the only one that Flair didnt trash in the whole interview.

  • @scumgod13 well I can't argue with that. He had a lot of love for Piper and for good reason. He was a great heel.

  • @jonnymack I hate how everybody says that. Back then, you had freedom to say what you wanted to. Nowadays, wrestlers have writers write them their stuff. I'm sure there are many wrestlers with natural charisma that could pull off great promos.

  • @RubberClits maybe....but we'll never know. Chris Jericho is someone who makes me stop and watch but other than that who is there? If someone really had that charisma believe me Vince would let them run. All we have to go on is what's on tape, and the tape says there is nobody that can cut promos like this on the WWE's roster right now.

  • 1:30 mins "don't put that camera on those girls when i'm on tv. keep that picture on me man..." WOOOOO! - ric flair - good stuff.

  • lmao!! DONT put those cameras on those girls while I'm on tv. It REALLY makes me sad that today's stars cant do promos like this

  • Only Ric could get away with wearing butterlfies ;)

  • If I was a mid-carder back in the 80's I would probably beg him to mention me in a promo just so I could get the rub. That's how good he was, just mentioning someone gives them credibiltiy.

  • I'm having the chance to watch some old AWA matches, and seen Wahoo McDaniels and Manny Fenandez wrestle, I recognize those names because Flair said their names in his promos! WOOOOOO

  • @bobber316 Harley Race said he could do it for a time, but Flair could even do it today, take anyone, take any stiff, take any non wrestler, and still make it look like a good match between them. Ric could wrestle a broom and still put on a 5 star match. On the mic the bad actors who read scripts today can't hold a candle to him.

  • Comment removed

  • actually he decided to pass up 20 years, and go for 23 more lol

  • I wish someone would yell out "that's right" everytime I say something.

  • Ric Flair is in a class by himself. he loves wrestling that's why he's still around after all of these years. He still has the ability to wooo everybody. Just when you're feeling sorry for him (like in recent years) all of a sudden he reminds you why he is the dirtiest player in the game (when he aligned with Triple H in '02) and many wrestlers will shoot on that. The Horsemen were untochable in these days, truthfully. Too bad Ole hates Ric and Tully, they were the very best faction ever.

  • Don't put the camera on those girls when I'm on TV

  • This was probably late 1985 after Starrcade. Flair and Garvin had an awesome stiff match on WTBS. They fueded until early 86 before Flair turned Ricky Morton into a singles star with a classic fued and five star broadways. Magnum just beat Tully at Starrcade in the ultra classic I Quit match and won the US title again. He had a very brief fued with a returning Harley Race before he and Dusty fueded with the Midnight Express and Nikita Koloff. Magum's car accident was in October 1986.

  • Man these were the good ole days. It will never be this good again...

  • Epic promo from The Man. Why can't wresting be good today? If it wasn't for YT a lot of the great footage from Mid Atlantic, Memphis, Georgia, Mid South, etc. would never be seen. The ass hats that are today's wrestlers need to sit down with pencil / paper and learn something. The product today sucks.

  • Why can't wrestling be good today? Three words. Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

  • can someone help me out. i think i remember this. didnt ronnie garvin beat him for the title?

this had to be after Magnum T.A retired because he didnt mention him.

  • Yea Ronnie Garvin did beat him for the title, didnt hold it for long but he did.

  • Garvin beat him for the title a few years after this. This has to be 1985 or very early 1986 as Flair still has the old NWA title and he mentioned the Von Erich's which he would do often while they were still in the NWA.

    He mentioned Magnum.

  • He did mention Magnum T.A you dumbass. werent you even listening the first time?

    idiot.

  • THE GREATEST!!!

  • i remember this back then on the super stayshion

  • Slick Ric is more of a true player than these hip-hop losers who probably instead of pimpin, got pimped to pay for their first album!

  • Cool Hand Ric Slick Ric!!! Wooo

  • Absolutely the best wrestler/entertainer. love the line...Don't put that camera on those girls when I'm on tv. Keep that picture on me man. He looked so serious. Absolutely a genius at ad libbing. At the end, he is laughing too hard to continue. Either he recognized how funny that line was or the guy behind the camera was laughing uncontrollably.

  • "When you're all there is..."

  • I as Polished as they come

  • Cool hand Ric, Slick Ric Wooo

  • he certainly did stay around for another 20 years.

  • Don't Put That Camera On Those Girls When I'm On TV!

  • He also says let's punish him if you listen real close after Ric says "put a dent in this reputation"

  • That guy in the background is awesome. "That's Right!" When Flair starts talking about Ronnie Garvin he says "Yeah- he's in trouble".

  • I want to show my appreciation to the background guy! WOOOO!!

  • Thats Right!!! Hes in trouble thats right, thats right, thats right, lol

  • They don't interview like this anymore. Classic!

  • I love these videos. Nobody rocked the mic like Ric. These dumbasses nowdays are terrible.

  • Lol, "...keep that picture on me, man!". Ric is still the champ my friends.

  • The best and his promos get better with time.

  • Nice going Ric, that was a pretty acurate prediction. He's still my favorite singles wrestler.

  • That's right.

  • LMAO at the guy in the crowd at 0:51

  • what did he say?

  • The guy in the crowd laughs, then yells out, "Yeah... he's in trouble!"

  • ahaha

  • ric cracked himself up

  • lol some guy in the background saying "thats right" every 5 seconds lol

  • It almost sounds like Ric is the preacher and that guy in the background is deacon, listening to the gospel! WHOOO!

  • That guy in the background was muthafn awesome! That's right!

  • keep that picture on me MAN!

    CLASSIC!

    GOT TO LOVE RIC FLAIR!!!!

  • I don't think anyone should try to be ric flair...I mean that's like comparing kobe to jordan...or crosby to gretsky..I mean times change but the true innovaters always shine brighter than the rest, like right now randy orton, he is becoming one of the best heel characters I have seen ever and I can't wait to see how he works his way back to the belt

  • close Ric but the correct answer was 23 years, you'll be around for 23 more years, thanx for playing though

  • This is video gold.

  • The title should have read "Flair predicts the Future" Wooooooo

  • the difference is EVERYTHING the boys do today is scripted from how the come out, to every line they say, to whatever else you can think of. nothing gets done unless its written by the team and approved by vince.

youll never see freestyle interviews like this anymore....

  • rocky king vs mac jeffers = classic matchup

  • Main event anywhere in the country!

  • Has the best robes in the business!

  • That's right Natch...WHOOA!!

  • John Cena couldnt do this with cue cards and a years practice !

Ric Flair = Greatest Ever !

  • Now that IS how you cut a promo!

  • He actually stuck around for 23 years after that interview.

  • When your all there is!

  • The Best That Ever Did It!!!

  • Slick Ric is simply one of the best performers on the mic, bar none!

  • its true he did stay a round for over 20 more years

  • Thats right Ric=World Champion and the greatest wrestler of all time WOO!

  • Thats right Ric=World Champion and the greatest wrestler of all time WOO!

  • Flair was ' the man '. His interviews and promos in his prime were outstanding. Ric Flair is truly legend. I am glad to have witnessed Flair and the Horsemen in their prime years.

  • looks like he shaved his eye brows

  • He sounds drunk in this video, but fuck it's Ric Flair. I wasn't around for his prime unfortunately, but I loved how he would always insult Bischoff.

  • Yeah, them there girls in the audience are easily impressed. Not bad for Georgia standards ...about the equivalent to a 3 in Los Angeles!

  • Sure their are good looking women in LA problem not a real man in the whole city nothing but fags and aids.

  • How did Tony ever keep a straight face during all these interviews??? I would have been hysterical every time!!!

  • He didn't. He would laugh his ASS off during the matches. I was there to see it.

  • Ric Flair is the Greatest of all time hands down. He could talk and wrestle better than anyone

  • i don't know about wrestle. . . but the man had the GREATEST mic skills EVER !!!

  • You really believe that bullshit. Flair could make a broom look good

  • That's not entirely true. How do you explain his working guys like Ron Garvin and a very green Sting, or Lex Luger? For every great wrestler Flair worked against there are a handful of brooms he had to work against, too.

  • He didn't work Ron Garvin at all; Ron Garvin has been wrestling since the 1960's, way before Flair came along. You are absolutely correct about Sting. If it wasn't for Flair, Sting might not have ever gotten a shot at the title. You sound like you know a little about wrestling; I like talking with people who are smart about wrestling, and ones who can give good insights on other wrestlers. I wish that Luger's career didn't hit rock bottom; He could have been a true legend in this sport.

  • He is great because of his talking and making other wrestlers look good.

  • You'd have to be an idiot to not like the man nowadays. I hated him growing up.

  • 23 years later and he STILL wont go away...lol

  • another classic from the greatest of all time, it never gets old, the greatest stuff from the greatest era.

  • and you have ric

  • one of the best promo's I've ever seen.

  • Damm he's just so damm entertaining! Thanks for the memories Ric, you'll never know how much I appreciate you.

  • Yeah! What he said!!! Ric Will never be forgotten!

  • Great promo from the greatest ever.
