My cat LOVES cooked tomatoes. It is his favorite human food. I got curious to see if it was harmful to him and I'm glad cooked ripe tomatoes are not toxic to cats...It's the parts of the tomato plant that we don't use for food that are toxic as well as unripe tomatoes. I don't let him eat a lot, just a little bit occasionally as a treat.

I live in Central America and I like many others have an open kitchen...one the feral "roof" cats will paw and claw his way to get any tomato I tried to stash
