  • Fuck off Hollywood.

  • Whats happening with GitS movie anyhow? I haven't heard any interesting info for ages now. Anyone got some kind of a relevant link?

  • GODDAMN IT!!! Hollywood, if you FUCK UP ghost in a shell I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL HAVE YOUR BALLS ON A SILVER PLATER!!!!!!

  • i am happy that a lot of anime are coming to the big screen i would love to see how they would do ghost in the shell with the technology we have to day. i was happy when speed racer came to big screen. but the only thing is that i want them to find the right actors and producers when they do go into production.

  • Ghost in the Shell NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Isnt there some cartoon spoof about an american version of Akira?

Akira is the best anime movie ever! And now they have to ruin that too...

  • @BobTheBuilder294 Check out Harry Partridge here on YouTube.

  • NOOOOOOOO! 2nd

  • Well let's hope it dosent suck. At least they knew what anime and manga was. Not like CNN did to Touhou.

  • I think it's Ghost In The Shell NOT Robotech. Major Motoko ain't on the Robotech. Jeez Hollywood!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Ghost in the shell is WAY to advanced of a show to go main stream.

  • Oh Hell NO! You Do NOT FUCK WITH AKIRA. Change it and I will MAME YOU!

  • This is bullshit. If they dare touch FLCL, I will personally initiate NUCLEAR World War Three.

  • Hollywood is fucking racist!! Look at Akira! It's a fucking train wreck!! Casting white dudes to play Japanese characters!? That's preposterious! NO TO HOLLYWOOD RAPING ANIME CLASSICS!!

  • PLEASE STOP IT HOLLYWOOD STOP IT.

  • ORIGINAL IDEAS DONT COME FROM MONEY...comes from a creative vision. In movies, vision and story work together but which comes first? its like the chicken or the egg. If it wasnt for one movie you would not have a lot of the anime that you have...and that movie is BLADE RUNNER!!!! the story is important but in Japan story and imagery is digested as one manifistation, manga. But all anime isnt scifi i know...

  • HATE THE GAME, DONT HATE THE PLAYER!!! DONT GET MAD AT HOLLYWOOD FOR BUYING THE RIGHTS!Japan sold out. At the end of the day you will have good examples to show your kids why anime is hot and Hollywood is not. Hopefully your kids wont be inspired by the lame remakes coming out. Then they will grow up thinking the wack shit is the cool shit. All this CGI EYECANDY is brainwashing the creative minds to come. NO VISION OR FORESIGHT IS NEEDED. THE TOOL SHOULD NOT CONTROL the VISION.

  • Actually Samuel L Jackson Will Produce The Movie

  • Anime That Are Going To Be Adapted;

Death Note, (Hopefully Zac Efron Wont Play Light)

    Bleach,

Cowboy Bebop (Keanu Reeves as Spike),

Afro Samurai (Samuel L jackson as Director, also voiced the char. in the show).

and I Think Stephen Speilbergs Doing Ghost In The Shell.

  • @DXshadow91 I actually disagree with you and think Zac Efron would be perfect for Light/ Kira. I know.. I'm going to get hate comments from Death Note fans and don't get me wrong.. I'm not a fan of his either BUT he looks like a real life replica of Light and if he has a good director coaching him through.. who knows ? I say gave him a chance and he might suprise us. Hey, Disney wanted to fire Johnny Depp for POTC and look how that turned out..you never know....

  • I'm not surprised if they made bleach into a Hollywood movie.lmao

  • @unperfect6 They are... and I WANT TO KILL WARNER BROTHERS for doing an Hollywood live action film. The director is Peter Segal, who directed Anger Management and Get Smart..the WORST DIRECTOR CHOICE because all the films he's directed are comedy and is rumored to be out in 2012.. no word yet on an actual release date and it was taken off Warner Brother's website a while back...that's the only recent news we've heard was from 2010.

  • FUCK AMERICA

  • You would think with the disgusting sums of money floating around Hollywood they could pay someone to come up with an original good idea instead of taking great films that have already been fully realised in a superior medium and turning them into mediocre films in an inferior medium. Why do they never take bad films that were based on good ideas to remake them? If you remake a perfect film what can the result be other than inferior? Sigh...

  • there going to fuck it up, they always do.

  • 2010? its already late 2011 -.-

thought i agree with the top comments... FUCK YOU HOLLYWOOD!

if only there's a way that they could actually pull this off perfectly... and Akira, they mentioned that its going to be in New Manhattan instead of New Tokyo? :O ???

  • @hammy012 He said New Manhattan

  • @slayerofstuff Without america these animes wouldn't even exist.

  • @Renas88 Well if your main consumer will be american then you have to Americanize it.I'm not happy but i understand where they are coming from.

  • @karishmo Yeah dragonball and ghost in the shell are totally two different things. Seeing as ghost in the shell doesn't have over the top action and has a story line most average americans will like. i can see it working for the new people and us fanboys.

  • @beastdude They ripped it off us so were even

  • @blazingkhalif2 nuh-uh

  • @JetStream3009 nobody will watch them except for fanboys.Trust me my movie theater tried and it bombed.

  • @ultima209 shit with out Americans there wouldn't even be anime.

  • shit there gunna ruin ghost in the shell

  • @apls291 nah an anime like ghost in the shell is perfect for Hollywood. The special effects should be up to par with the anime. The only thing we have to worry about is them changing the characters to much. What im worried about is robotech. I mean Jesus Christ how in the world r u going to do it Hollywood.

  • Aye! Hollywood inspire to Japan!

I thought about casting of Ghost in the shell.

    *Wachowski as director

    *Spielberg as Chief Daisuke Aramaki

    *Many Japanese as backroom boy

  • what next evangelion ?

  • Oh God... PLEASE Dont let America take over anime. We like the original versions better! Its just not...right.

  • FUCK YOU HOLLYWOOD

  • hollywood will destroy all these good titles with their edits and changes etc. Also:all these special effects nowadays look nice but are not realistic looking compared to older movies from the early 90's and 80's that I've seen. A little green screen here and there is nice, but green screen produced scenes throughout a whole movie to me sucks, I might as well watch a cg movie or cartoon

  • "New Manhatten" ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? RAWRGRAR!

Fuck you, Hollywood. Atleast stick to the goddamn script!

  • hey i like coyboy movies!

  • I do not know how they say in English, but LA VAN A CAGAR BIEN CABRON ASI TnT ANIMATION IS ANIMATION LIVE ACTION PICTURES ARE LIVE ACTION PICTURES they cant see it r,r

  • RIP to all the amazing anime that Hollywood will murder T^T

  • well actually Akira will be cool with Cristopher noolan as director. but dont expect that. i bet it will be someone like michael bay as the best of the worst.

  • Just go away Hollywood, no one likes you and your over-paid actors much anymore, not to mention your over the top agenda.

  • 1:14 shit dub

  • the prob is they don't care about the original story they just want to make as much money on it at the same time they destroy the series they don't keep true to the characters it the original series they will mod it to there liking

  • Dreamworks......Ghost in the Shell......FUCK D:<

  • Dragon ball Evolution... nuff said

  • @FreeBirdKai well they kinda went over the heads with dragon ball but anime like like ghost in the shell and cowboy bebop will be perfect for Hollywood seeing as how they won't need to destroy entire cities using special effects. I mean were at least a hundred years away from making a dragonball live action movie in terms of special effects.

  • bet you ghost in the shell will have aliens in it.. seriosuly why not get the actual creator to direct these movies or better yet, STOP MAKING THEM LIVE ACTION. nothing kills my fav characters then seeing them replaced by a generic cant act white guy with 20 pounds of greese in his hair. I swear to god if they ever ruin Princess Mononoke i will be pissed.

  • If you do anything to fuck up Ghost in the Shell Speilburg I will DESTROY YOU!!!!:(

and it wont just be me. Their will be a horde of otaku from around the globe that will swarm you and lynch you. So for your own saftey Do Not Screw Gost in the Shell!!

  • @Grimm5667 i will agree Speilburg isn't the best one when it comes to anime just look at transformers. i think if thy are going to do ghost in the shell they will have to take that time to find the right director and actors god knows we do have some great female actors that will fill the roll of major.

  • @FanOf1788 OH MY !@#$ING GOD! Transformers isn't a goddamn anime for the trillionth !@#$ing time! It was a toyline created by Hasbro that was turned into a comic book by Marvel Comics and then a cartoon by Marvel Productions. None of the scripts were produced in Japan and nothing was contributed by them aside from animation.

  • Stop ruining everything Hollywood!

  • I dont get it, just use PRACTICAL EFFECTS!!! You have huge names doing these anime adaptions why not invest some of the money you have gained which at this point is probably at billions into an awsome movie? Shit they did it in the 80s even in the 70s and shit even in the 60s!!! And those movies looks better then any transformer or speed racer out today. Btw the akira movie is still in production i believe or the script is done or something all the lines, last i heard of it.

  • oooooooooooooooooh HELL NO akira OH HELL TO FUCKING NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they shouldn't even attempt it D:<

  • Akira will be fucking ruint. Fuck.

  • Ghost in the Shell is literally one of my FAVORITES...MANGA & ANIME FTW !!!!

  • The ghost in the shell movies were some of the best anime movies ive seen. And akira was the first anime movie i had ever seen. these fucks are going to ruin some of my favorites from childhood just like they did with my dads and all the new marvel movies. -.-

  • FUCK!!!!!!!!! NOT AKIRA!!!!!

  • @TheForgottenHokage hey calm down the movie will be great there's no way they can mess up such a masterpiece and there sticking to the manga which is 1000 times better than the anime movie and katsuhiro otomo is gonna make sure they don't make it suck.

  • you guys need to talk more on anime, it would be awsome if you guys talk more about it

  • ok ppl here need to chill a tiny bit. a lot of anime (not all obviously but alot) aren't even that good to begin with because numerous reasons. It is wrong however for america to make live action versions cause somethings just shouldn't be made live action and anime (and avatarL.A.B) is one of them esp. when its foreign adaptation which by it's self is usu. bad.

  • There are a few directors like Ridley Scott, James Cameron and Steven Spielberg that when it comes to sci-fi, they usually do a really good job. Dreamworks has the rights to Ghost In The Shell and S. Spielberg is most likely to direct it. That doesn't sound so bad.

  • @Makrozon

At least get some Asian actors. No matter how good those directors are, I doubt they can really make a good live action out of those Animes. The thing is, you must put yourself in the shoes of the creators of Anime. When they're directing the movie, it's going to be made too westernized that it'll lose the feel of the original anime and make it look like shit.

  • YOU BETTER NOT FUCK AROUND WITH DEATH NOTE!!!! YOU BETTER MAKE LIGHT YAGAMI GOOD, BECUZ U GUYS SUCK AT EVERYTHING ANYWAY!!!

  • @FangaIicious they aren't sure theyre gonna make it and.......don't freak too much (i actually think he kinda almost looks like him, sort of... and he's not that bad of an actor now that he's done real stuff) but Zack Efron might play Light....

  • if they ever touch gundam micheal bay will be castrated, have it reattached and castrated again, then have an illegal sex change operation performed while he is unconscious

  • these hollywood directors and producers are being idiotic with the live action anime related movies. Its follow the storyline or kill your career with millions of anime fans tearing you to bloody shreds.

  • @XeroNeroZero

Yeah and also, shit the characters look nothing like the Anime characters. Look way too different, storyline way too different and also.....way too Americanized. They should at least learn more about our culture and try to make it least Americanized or it'll lose the original feel. When East meets West, it's bound to the West ruining the East. They don't understand our culture and how WE MAKE MOVIES. For god's sake, fuck Hollywood.

  • please do not rape GITS im sick of hollywood making animes worse

  • I like how the host can actually pronounce Japanese words.

  • I'm not diggin this at all. I love me some Ghost in the Shell and i don't want hollywood to get their dirty little claws on it. I think someone told me Dreamswork pick it up. I've also hear Waner brothers are trying to get license for Bleach. And Fullmetal Alchemist is also rumored to be pick up by hollywood. I'm already dreading about Cowboy Bebop.

  • this idiot calles appian way A-pian way. I guess he never took a history course.

  • I'm just curious why they didn't mention James Camerons wishes to do Battle Angel Alita. (Which he have been planning for a very Very long time.)

  • THEY BETTER NOT FUCK UP CLAYMORE OR BERSERK, MAN

  • I say this as someone who has watched anime almost their whole lives please keep live action out of it and Hollywood keep your dirty paws off my anime.

  • Stop remaking classic Japanese films. Find your own ideas Hollywood. Sick of shite remakes, the originals are ALWAYS better. They've bastardised foreign horror films so now they are starting on Anime. Dumbed down for a brain dead audience.

  • So has any of those movies come out yet? I mean this video is from 2008...maybe they already gave up.

  • @tepayawawa Actually they haven't given up just yet, I saw that on one of the movie listings for the years 2011-2015 they had both Akira and Ghost in the Shell listed I believe Ghost in the Shell was listed for 2012 and Akira was listed for 2013, but I don't remember it well right now.

  • I'm trying to be optimistic and give the idea a shot, but I have a really bad feeling about this.

  • Whatever gets produced in California will not change the old classics as they are.

  • God, no not Akira......Not Akira.

    fuck you hollywood

  • i hate americans

  • Ghost in the shell could be a good anime to live action movie if they have the right producer such as Steven Spielberg or James Camon. Remember budgets which make them water down movies anything over 100 million is going to be PG-13 so they can get a bigger amont of people to watch it. Have they even said where Ghost In The Shell was going to take place if they have it taking place in Japan like it is in the anime you could have Americans play some chacters i mean a few of them appear

  • Oh dear god nooooo, not Ghost in the Shell and Akira I fucken' love those Anime's . I'm pissed that in Akira it's going to be new manhattan (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and not Neo Tokyo. No fuck dat shit it's Neo fucking Tokyo!!!

  • NO.

  • oh god... why, whyyyy!! T.T

Seriously, hollywood is retarded, stop changing what we love and have some respect for the origionals D:

Watch the animes before you make a life action movie of it D:

    ~Jkun~

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! X_X

  • @gadzijezyk "idiotic american thinking", ur a douche man

  • NO! Not Ghost in the Shell! Not AKIRA!! Please!

  • @mclovin729 good for you!

  • Mangakas should do a manga about George Bush being an alien set to destroy all pretzels in the world, that would be the beginning of their revenge.

  • NO JUST NO ANIME IS ANIME NO REAL PEOPLE IS IN ANIME AND IT NEVER SHOULD BE JUST NO 1 OR 2 FINE BUT ANIME IS MEANT TO STAY AS A CARTOON HOLLYWOOD IS JUST STEELING IDEAS CUZ THEY CANT COME UP WITH THERE OWN FUCKING IDEAS

  • @MrDemdemsitar

So even if an anime was capable of being made into a live-action movie (think Golgo 13, City Hunter, etc) with a director who actually knew what he was doing and knew what he was doing, you'd still RAEG at the idea?

  • NO MAN. NO NO NO! BAD IDEA!!!

  • i bet the american akira's plot will be changed, it is way too bizarre for american cinema. and why do they need to change it to manhattan, why do they even need to make american live action versions of anime anyway. come up with your own damn stories hollywood!

  • @jimbobhk2009 i absolutely agree americans are too stupid to come up with their own original ideas, oh and akira will be watered down beyond recognition cause their audiences are too sensitive

  • @entouragevinniechase Osamu was inspired by Disney. Goku was inspired by superman so without Our ideas many of our favorite anime wouldn't exist it's a give an take. It's cool to be angry i mean who trusts Hollywood anymore but don't see we don't have our own ideas.

  • @religonisalie Sorry, the last part of my comment was kinda misleading...damn word limiter.

Was trying to say that Hollywood will rape any type of anime because it's foreign to the style we, Americans, are used to.

DB Evolution actors, and producing staff should be obliterated for that crap. How dare they make a LEGEND, near deity, appear so lame.

  • live action akira is going to suck.

  • I hope that at least half of theese movies see the light of day on the big screen

  • durr, why the hell did he mention Spider-man of all things? This had nothing to do with do with Spider-man

  • death note movie... dont fuck up!

  • @TheFarmerboyproducti i think there already is a death note movie

  • @jimbobhk2009 your right.. a japenese movie, but there making an american death note.. btw the guy who directed lethal weapon is apparently directing it

  • @TheFarmerboyproducti hope it doesn't suck!

  • i hope to GOD! that they (hollywood) don't fuck up ghost in the shell and akira

  • @BushidoBrown1000 They will; expect it.

Hollywood already screwed up on American comics - spiderman, batman, xmen, blade, fantastic four, and the list goes on. The producers and directors always say they grew up on these storylines, but always fuck them up with redundancy, some halfassed romance that didn't exist in the original plot, lame mainstream actors that fails miserably, and etc.

Concerning anime and manga, remember Dragonball evolution, Transformers (JAPANESE), and Power Rangers.

  • @jajaman1993 yea your but one can still wish

  • @BushidoBrown1000 nah in terms of effects they should be good and seeing how it's a movie they should be able o finish the story without rushing it.Though im wondering how in the hell r they going to pull of robotech.

  • wow, doing shit thats already been done doesn't make hollywood on the 'cutting edge of new ideas'. do they realise the irony? and its also really sad that these live action versions dont give kudos to their originals...

"this is a remake of an amazing anime" should be displayed before each film in massive, capitalised letters.

i doubt that the akira or ghost in the shell remake would be any good. changing the originals to suit a different culture creates a twisted abomination.

  • oh no... oh no no no.

  • no wonder foriegners call America stupid

  • fuck you Spielberg and fuck you Hollywood the only reason why most people watch anime is for the story and just for kicks but changing what was already was grown to be loved is a bitch.

  • 0:14 - 0:21

"What the hell am I talking about?" is written all over his face.

  • The major's face at 1:48 says it all. Hell, GitS:SAC have an ep about good movies and what it takes to make them.

  • Hollywood has alredy raped things like video games, comic books and even older movies. Why the fuck would you give them anime!

  • @marioskywalker64 because people who bitch about movies will go to it and say "Wow that was bad they fucked my childhood." then other dumbasss are like "Really, Dude lets go see that" Then they make bank on a shit film. It's AMERICANS FUCKING EVERYONE..... is a Busisness man reaping the rewards on bad movies.

  • @RKOboring9 Americans don't relly want this to happen, you know. Its just the greedy buisness men who do. They always ruine the original idea of something. They never follow the story of a video game, always try to make a comic book sound childish, make a TV series too mature and think modernize an old movie is a good idea. Alot of people in the U.S. don't trust Hollywood.

  • @marioskywalker64 my bad, i ment to but "NOT AMERICANS FUCKING EVERYONE," sorry, fucking typos right? I know Americans really don't like Hollywood anymore, well atleast I don't. personally im sick of how they portry manythings in this generation. All i see from Hollywood is boring steryotypical libral bullshit. How they portra the US Military, characters with Right-Wing ideals playing the bad guy, etc... Hollywood, shoving morals down your throut and fucking up your books, games, and Anime

  • @RKOboring9 To be honest, I agree.

  • @marioskywalker64 Because in Japan...they never even see the movies...

Japanese Guy: "For 45 Billion dollars you want to make a movie."

    Michael Bay: "Yes."

I'm fairly certain that's how all boardroom meetings go.

  • Its nice that they are making movies so that "normal" people can see why we are so addicted to anime but it would be nice if they made a movie out of some better manga, like Variante(it would be so cool!!), 7 seeds, Nononono, Chobits (without unnecessary ecchi scenes) or an american version of Death Note that could show those oh-youre-such-a-geek-get-a-job people what were talking about!!

  • WHY AMERICA WHY???????!!!!!Well actually i've looked it up and im gonna give em a chance on this, just one though...

  • Ah Hollywood, the thing that take anything intelligent's and degrades to point of disgust....

  • O_O why would they ruined all those awesome movies and shows

  • i'm from america, and all i have to say is, america is where ideas go to die :/

  • Japan is fucked if they keep making deals with the devils in Hollywood.

  • OHHHHH GOOOOOOODDDD

These are two amazing anime, they can't ruin themmmm D'x

  • I love anime and the fact that Dennis Hopper was a fan, makes even more proud! R.I.P. Dennis Hopper!!!!

  • Hey, guys who don't want them to make the movies, let's fight them! Our fighting cry will be, "Remeber Dragonball!" And when they hear us yell they will cower in fear at our katanas!!!(and guns...)

  • are thay or did thay floop on the Akira movie?

  • @bigballsbiggerdick maybe a lot of movies go into a limbo and they can take years to finish and finance or are dropped and picked up over and over .....sometimes people just buy the rights and never do anything with it

  • Remember what they did to Dragonball. And manga/anime arent about visual effects. Its idiotic american thinking. Its all about story and how you show it. Hollywood replaces story with visual effects killing any production.

  • @gadzijezyk

Problem is that getting quality actors and enough money for the amazing visual effects that most anime stories would entail, would cost millions of dollars. The Cowboy Bebop movie was so well adapted that the studio just didn't have enough money to pull it off. But on the other hand, if they have that much money to drop on shitty ass Transformers, then they should be able to do the same with a real quality story like Bebop. Unfortunately it's harder to market than Transformers.

  • @MMAenthusiastUHHE There is no problem, they just choose to do it cheesy or half a**ed as they say, you can easily pick some actors that represent the characters well old or new actors who are not busy doing other movies, and just run the same storyline as the anime/Cartoon or comic itself. They choose not to, that is all.Transformers is great, and it's not even an exact stroyline comparison to the actual series itself. You can take Batman for instance, how many goofs did they do on those?

  • @MMAenthusiastUHHE And then finally someone came and said, ok let me do a more darker better representation of Batman, and then we Got the Dark knight etc movies with Health ledger and they certainly were extremely better than all the other batman movies before it. And all the movies were made by Hollywood, it's up to the director and who he is collaborating with to stay on the stories main plot, focus and create using that. if they go nuts, it's not "America's" fault.

  • @Shadowlooker12

Ask yourself this, who has a bigger following in America, BatfuckingMan or Spike Spiegel? and be objective here

  • @Shadowlooker12

The directors are all WESTERN people. The thing is, you guys can't understand our culture and doesn't know how to keep the original feel. Our storytelling is hella way different than you guys and the way we think is much more different. Rather than only focusing on ACTION and VISUAL, we focus on the way we present the STORY and EMOTIONS, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. It'll get Americanized or Westernized making it look shit.

  • @gadzijezyk When you speak, speak with respect, logic and common sense, if not using all 3, don't say anything. "idiotic American thinking" No,big business and corporation of thinking, we did not tell them to do that to dragon ball, they did. And although it's not about visual effects, the effects could have stayed so long as they made a proper story, which they failed to do. Just like video gaming, graphics don't matter if the content and story lacks, graphics is fine if the story is done well..

  • @gadzijezyk Comments incorporating idiocy only breeds more idiocy and hypes of others to speak and gain a false notation of what to say. Blame Hollywood, not America, blame their business not the way Americans think. And for people to say it's so bad and then a movie still pulling millions, what does that mean? They don't care.So then complain to them then,Avatar Last Air bender was mediocre,DragonBall was totally off, you want them to do it good, then push for the anime creator to work with them.

  • @gadzijezyk Yeah I'm not excited about stuff like that...especially with how amazing the anime really is..If they make a live action of this wonderful series they are going to completely ruin the emotion and for lack of a better word soul that they put into the series..hopefully they wont butcher it...in other words they drop the idea entirely

  • @gadzijezyk stfu asshole its people that just dont know anything about anime/manga like the akira will be totaly awesome because they are going to get help from Katsuhiro Otomo and the director reads manga and the cast will keep the feeling of manga in it so dont say it will suck because its american made its just about the people making it watch the movie then tell us your opinion

  • @dragonxanimation

When it's American made, it's bound to be Americanized dumbass. Also, I'm one of those that knows Anime and Manga a lot....want to know why? I'm Chinese and Anime is part of my culture. We are always the first one to get Anime dubbed and manga translated and the influences are huge in Asia. Also, stop getting white people to be the characters for god's sake. Also, anime isn't about visual effect. Too sci-fi makes it look too AMERICAN which destroys the original feel.

  • @Samhiuys there's a good director that actually read the whole manga before he made it. and how can they "Americanize" it by making them speak English and you should read about how they are making they new movies before you post comments like that the creators of the anime/manga's are gonna be the executive producers of the movie so they have more or less the same power over changes to it also there sticking to the original thing every single bit of the movie will be exactly like the manga

  • @gadzijezyk yEAH Hollywood were way over there heads in trying to make dragonball a live action movie but speed-racer in my opinion was a success.

  • Remember what they did to Dragonball

  • Steven Spielberg doing Ghost in the Shell... All of a sudden I feel like shooting myself in the face with a very large gun :P

  • the reason it being in manhattan is becuase people will be able to connect more in america to a city and life style they know. personaly i wouldnt care if japan got destroyed in a film because its not my home.

SO SHUT THE FUCK UP, AND IF NOT SUKS FOR U!!!

  • New Manhattan!! omfg that's lame >:c

  • please me a new ghost in the shell series, it is a fantastic anime

  • why do they pick the animes people dont really know? D:

  • @x3tammy8o8 akira and ghost in the shell are both classic anime movies!

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK YOU AMERICA

    I'M MOVING TO CANADA

    KTHXBYE.

  • Face at the beggining:

    ..c:?

    End:

    >:C!!

  • Hollywood is out of ideas so now they are going Japanese. Why don't they make a live action Thundercats or Powerpuff Girls instead? Stay the hell away from these great works or have a real Otaku direct the film!

  • @comicconfreak I completely agree

  • No, Akira in Manhattan dude what the hell!? I don't even know how that's going to work out now seeing as the cast are japanese in the movie. Might as well just completely change the name to... George, or Paul ಠ_ಠ I might as well wait and see how this will turn out.

  • @SolGunRock dude these movies are going to make most of their profits in america so of course they are going to have to Americanize it. I'm not happy but i understand that these people need to make money to. Even though they make a shitload of money

  • @blazingkhalif2 Haha, well that is true. I've totally forgot about this :P
