As a former member of an Assemblies of God church, I was dissatisfied with the religious nature of the denomination and was rejected in my pursuit to know God on a deeper level. In contrast, my experience with a church and Christian community that fully embrace their spiritual heritage challenged and and awakened me to a new life and reality in Christ that I had felt was missing from my previous years as a Christian.
Quite the contrary. The holy laughter- or joy of the Lord- enhances life and is a fresh breath of air in the stale religious air of legalistic church assemblies. Just like a good laugh in your day enriches your life that much more, so does the joy of the Lord enhance spiritual life of a believer.

Fabulous. Laughing in God's glorious presence is wonderful. The church is getting brighter, the chaff (traditional, 'religious', christians) are being pushed aside. They criticise from the margins, but the main church of Jesus is grasping the joy and the Holy laughing and how important it is. If you don't get it - you will be sidelined by God -because there is no room for luke warm, old fashioned, traditional, 'religious' christians.
It is exactly what church is about - and it's happening more and more, in more and more churches. It's wonderful to laugh in God's glorious presence. Jesus has an incredible sense of humour. It's awesome to experience His Joy.

Real Christianity are the so called 'boring' folks who go to church on Sunday, sing hymns, read and teach scripture, and then go home or have sunday dinner, and live like normal people.
