  • Is it okay that I'm tearing up?

  • He past away yeasterday, RIP.

  • RIP Master Weissenberg

  • Why did twilight put this? Why? Poor Debussy, but he doesn't have the blame for write a masterpiece...

The bad thing is that everybody is talking about Clair de lune without know who was Debussy.

  • @AlejandroSanAntonio Twilight is shit!!!! great Debussy...

  • 5 minutes, 5 trop courtes minutes à mon gout..

  • Twilight, :$<3

  • I haven't got any words to describe this lovely song !

But thanks a lot Debussy and Weissenberg !

  • From 2:20 to 2:35, the pianist goes in overdrive! A pity, I don't think it's meant to be played that fast!

  • I love this song <3

  • I listen to screamo. Hard core screamo. I listen to rock. Everyone that i know, knows tht i listen to tht...But Shhhh...I have a secret.....*whisper voice* I like Debussy!!!!(:

  • I was atleast excpecting applause on the end of the video..

  • My absolute favorite version of the masterpiece.

  • very well played! Alexis takes the time he needs to play it and that makes it really beautiful

  • I love this interpretation so much.

    This has moved me.

  • I'm playing this for my end of year presentation and I am definitely taking notes here!! but will that really make me as good as that? naah don't think so... I really wish I could though!!

  • @ElissareN I think you have to play it the way it means the most to you, don't copy someone else, that's what makes it most beautifull <3

I'm sure it'll be great, good luck ^^

  • @TheBlackCheeta Yeah thanks for the advice but what i meant was that I hoped my version was as beautiful, but i'll see wednesday what it'll be ^^

  • @ElissareN Good luck ^.^ I hope it goes well (I always get stressed out when I play for more then two people o_O )

  • @TheBlackCheeta Well it actually went pretty well but I was coming back from a really tiring run cause I was doing a little show at my dance school like an open class you know and it lasted too long!! I came back running like a beast and I made it!! but well it could've been better... I might post a response to get your opinion some time =D

  • @ElissareN I'm glad it went wel ^^ (and glad you made it in time XD, was the dance tyring as well or just the run? ^.^) I can imagine it's difficult to play a soft song like this when you're tired, don't know if I can do that... You know, I think the same thing everytime I play, that it could've gone better, I always remeber every small mistake, but in the end I just love the music, so as long as people like it I'm happy ^^. Is it the same with you or am I just weird that way? XD

  • @TheBlackCheeta The dance was tiring too yeah!! and don't worry it's the same for me ^^'

  • @ElissareN XD

  • I'm currently learning it! And it is simply beautiful it is magical.

  • most beautiful performance ever?

  • perfection!

  • This song sounds like an allusion of how the beginning and end are sometimes the same thing

  • I have this on a vinyl, I've listened to it for quite some years...and seems like the best as possible for it, I love maestro Weissenberg's interpretations and own works :)

  • Best version on Youtube.

  • I think this is Weissenberg's best Debussy. He doesn't rush it like he does Debussy's other works; it seems like he finds more value in this one.

I do wish this was a bit better quality, though.

  • reminds me of the Darjeeling Limited.

    it`s awesome; thanks so much

  • This music is too tame for a man with such energetic lightening bolts.

Even so, he plays Debussy very well indeed.

  • Feeling of wonder.. Thank you for posting all this heritage of great Alexis Weissenberg!

  • The most beautiful peace for me ever wrote for a piano, with all the respect of the other composers

  • Not bad... Not bad at all!

  • Almost as well as Walter Gieseking's version

  • Thank you. Perfection. Just as I dream it.
