The intro is played on a piano by Hetfield, not sure why you played it on guitar, it just didn't sound right IMO. Also, try tuning your top E down a half step and hammer on to the second instead of third, this is how it's played live and if you compare your version with the actual track this particular part does differ a fair bit. Regarding the clean bit before the solo, the part where you faded in and played notes is done on violin. Solo and heavy parts were awesome though
@joshua4846 Not sure why I played the intro on guitar? That's a guitar cover and the part played is the exact trascription piano-guitar. For the violin, same technique used in my friend of misery or the outlaw torn: that's played with a guitar and a volume pedal. I don't have one so it's even harder to play it with the volume knob. The idea was to recreate the most part of the song with my guitar. It seems like a terrible thing for you so you should look for another channel then
Nice house :P nice guitar Great cover check my unforgiven 3 to man! You are doing a nice piece of work here! Check my unforgiven 3 cover to I improvise at the solo part but ok! Well guessing that you bought sony vegas right? cause I want to find a good video editing programme for stuff like 3 cameras etc.. if you know anything else any infos would be appreciated! Great work man !
@Rockman19pl That's the way a guitar must sound. A "bassy and loud guitar" is one of the most usual mistake epople can make. Leave the the bass for... the bass and don't put too much distortion in one guitar or you'll loose the articulate sound. Make it sound louder by double or more the guitar for the recording. Listen to more Thrash lives even recent ones, you'll ear the same thing
@Rockman19pl What kind of speaker do you use to listen to this? A cheap one sold with computers? Not what I use. When you create a patch, the speakers (or the headphones) you use is as important as the cab use to play on an amp. My sound on my computer is everything except weak
@Distollica i use Creative set with subwoofer. sound quality is fine. to play guitar i use a cheap Marshall MG 4/10amp with 8'' speaker and i'm really satisfied with my sound (only distrortion is a little to soft for me). i wish i understood your comment correctly :)
Well, i really like the Unforgiven Songs. But unfortunately there is a f*ckin great BUT:
James Hetfield ( Hail to the King^^ ) wrote the first two songs. This one was written by Hammet and has noting to do with the first two masterpieces. Hetfield is a fantastic songwriter, but Hammet did just a few good riffs.
Imo this song is not a good successor to the Unforgiven I + II ...
@Deathbringer94 Hetfield is THE riffwriter and songwriter I agree, but I really hate that 90's-rock sounding era where the unforgiven II has been created. Thus as I explained, the number 2 is more a studio song than anything else (it's hard to find any recording of this one live, at least one that sounds good live). This one is may be less good than the 2 others but the solo here is something Hammet hasn't done since AGES and for that this one deserve its shot
@crustybuttnugget :-) and me waiting to play it again. But without a neck pickup, you can't play the solo correctly. Glad to see it seems to sound good
eres genial! \m/

@Distollica hmmm. what about playing alone? no backtrack, no drums, no bass. then it sounds crappy, i think.
