@Yoequalsyo Watched the Durbinator on AI tonight and he was the best of the bunch. At least he can move around the stage - most of them are bolted to the ground. See no reminder of Lambert, however. James is definitely more 80's metal and Lambert 1970's glam rock. Realized Durbin had a good voice when saw utube of him singing the Anthem on a ball field - well done on a very difficult song. But then saw Lambert sing Aftermath on 3/10 Results Show - hmm - James's got a way to go there.

@ilovehawaian Was hoping Idol would find a great performer this season after last year's disappointing lineup. But beginning to believe that Adam is just so spectacularly gifted that finding someone even equal is not going to happen. Not only a great singer, but beautiful on stage, as well as a dancer. Like Randy said, he just takes over the stage and, as Paula said, you don't look elsewhere when Adam's performing. Really remarkable.

Yeah, he did kind of lose it on those high notes (he can usually do better) but I was listening to the lyrics/words, and so he was right about the message. Acoustic does make it easier to focus on lyrics so he accomplished that. I don't know why people have to sing high notes b/c the song would have been fine without that.

I swear Idol has ruined good singing. everyone is a DAMN Simon Cowell and folks can't even sing their own damn songs the way they want to..GTFO with crap.

@mistermagoo90 that's the point, Adam is not a contestant, he's a real life recording artist with a GRammy nod. the thing I love about this performamce is how Adam is no longer concerned with being technically perfect when singing, he's just singing from his heart and you can tell he means every word. That is the mark of a great singer and why his high note breakdown was so effective, there was a build up. 1 thing missing from this season of AI is artistry. Adam always had artisty
