The bug that curls into a ball when you touch it, from what I've gathered is mainly found in the US, is called a potato bug. Some people call them rollie pollies but potato bug is better. The wheeled contraption is called a cart in America, and I know I call the thing you change the TV channel with a clicker. But I have a weird Baltimore accent + I call some things the wrong name because it's a Baltimore thing :)
Australians call them runners too and to No:5 i think everyone in the world believe Aussies all say G'day but we don't, And your accent is very Irish i thought you said "tree" when you said "three".
You said that people over in Ireland say yous, like "are yous going to the shop?" in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the states, we made a word up for that called "yinz" for everybody. i.e. "are yinz going to get milk?" we only say it in the city, and nobody else does.
haha I'm with you about 'remote'. People around where I live ( I live in America, more specifically New England) call them clickers and I've also heard people call them changers. I guess the term changer comes from the term channel changer which is pretty common too. Oh and by the way you have a definite brogue!
the bug that rolls up into a ball when you touch it is a roley poley, we have a tone of those in US, Alabama, also we dont say ye to address a group of ppl, we say y'all (you+all) lol we also call running shoes we call Nikes or sports shoes. :D
@N3rdGurl101 You know, she didn't tell me. I met her back in 2005 and off and on we do stay in contact with each other but she never told me. The next time I talk to her, I will ask her.
