  • That's alot of work for the client and the practitioner, unless you are going to be doing extensive therapeutic work for a particular issue on that leg. As perinatal massage instructor/author/specialist, I would recommend a much easier. secure draping, that does not require the woman's participation. I will have to post a video of that method! Until I can do that, you can learn it on my comprehensive Mastering Pregnancy Massage video that shows it all in detail at Touch For Birth.com

  • It doesn't actually take that long, people, it's a demonstration. They go slow so that you can see what they're doing.

  • great and thorough. thank you!

  • this good bu tit just takes to long i would have lots of complains at work for taking that long for draping especially when they paying $150+ for a massage

  • ha! that's how i sleep everynight...with all those pillows! started with my first pregnancy 13 yrs ago and it was so comfy it stuck =)

  • Awesome Lisa!! Thats my teacher yall!! :D

  • thats how I was taught and with practise doesn't take long

    Great job

  • at my school we place all pillows first, including leg. also, we put the "huggy pillow" under the sheet

  • I don't understand the time concerns.. obviously with practice (and hopefully you have plenty before performing massage professionally) you would have this drape not in 10 seconds, not 3 minutes. The video is taking it's time to introduce to the draping technique so you can learn to do it right!

  • @Baldwinchick

Well obviously prenatal massage has more protocols to ensure that boundaries are respected and nothing is being exposed. Demo vids are always going to show things like this in a slower and more detailed manner. An experienced and knowledgable LMT will do draping like this in as little as 30 seconds. If it takes YOU 3 minutes to do this, id say go back to school or get some supportive instruction from a fellow colleague.

  • great refresher thank you! I was preg in school and this can be incooperated into a 50min massage it really only takes a min. and believe me preg women jus want some form of relaxation and any massage feels amazing!

  • this would take too much time away from a 50 min session

  • Thankyou so much for this - your video is so clear and gives me confidence to use this in my treatments now :)

  • This is great! Thank you for posting!

  • Great draping technique.

  • wow very thorough, thanks for the post.

  • oh yah eh?

  • Very good demo...Thank you!

  • It's slightly different from the technique I learned in school, more steps in the process, but much more secure, I think. Thank you!

  • Really good info, thank you for posting!
