  • this is the worst terrible and nastiest work ive ever seen. and this is not gray wash..super gross!

  • And he uses a gage loll See. Grey system is good, learn it. Even a little added on top of wash looks nice. Newbs hating when they know nothing loll

  • why do people with tatoos look awesome

  • people think tattooing looks easy, a monkey could do it . thats usually the case ,until they put a machine in their hand!!

  • I did a Greywash tattoo on my forearm yesterday and its my first time using graywash. why does it look so redish?

  • @770hooch it looks reddish because the skin was irittated by all those needles.it usually goes away almost instantly like within a few minutes of you final wipe,if not the area was traumatized more than needed,or the area was hit too many times.i usually take photos of my work right after and then if they are still arund in ten minutes again as the redness sually goes away by then.Best thing is lather on oinment as soon as done it will tend to pull out alot of the plasma and blood an reduce red

  • if you want to see a self tattoo with real wash go find a vid called tattooing a portrait of my daughter on myself. Its a 3 part vid

  • Ha hahhahhhahaaa...I wondered what Pee Wee Herman was doing now and there it is.....bad tatts.

  • I dont think it looks bad, agreed greywash doesn't have white in it ... everyone who wants to tattoo should absolutely tattoo themselves though, I learn so much more every time I do, there's no comparable experience, you are the artist, and the canvas, you experience it from both sides at once, that's the best way to understand this mysterious art form (which I'm still learning) .

  • It's people like this that make me wish tattoo machines weren't so easily accessible to everyone. It makes me afraid that people are going to be walking around with tattoos such as this one, which suck. There should be a requirement that you have to show licensing or proof of capability to put something permanent on someones skin. Brian, throw away your machine, give up any hopes you may have had of becoming a tattoo artist, and get a job more suited to your abilities. Seriously...

  • is this drunk? why lie, that is not gray wash, thats white/grayish ink...

  • but why cherryblossoms?

  • i am an airbrush artist of 20 years and that color might be a certain value of grey but not a greywash. grey wash is using black only. i am only commenting because he is supposed to be an expert .

  • i barely got interested in gray wash technique today and came on here and even I know (someone who knows nothing about GW) that, that was not no gray wash that was just gray....poor guy

  • this video sucks as does that tattoos themself

  • that depends on if the scar tissue will hold the pigment

  • hahhaha yehh im gona have 2 be with u on this 1 now cos i watched his other video and the fuckwit was tattooing dry skin with no lube.and looking at this 1 closely they are so fucking inconsistant through the entire piece.. i would not let him touch my skin

  • gray washed is diluted with something, like water, not with white ink...thats gray...this is not to mislead people specially who are just starting to be a tattoo artist...I acknldge the guy for the effort,,,im not the best but teach the right things...anyways, a tattooing is a never ending learning...

  • hes purposely made hes outlines extremely thick .. cos theres another video of him thickening the outlines

  • I'm an artist and my specialty as always been lining and shading. I've recently taken an interest in tattooing and I admit that it has a whole different process on its own and almost all tattoo artists I've met have their own terminology which clashes with other artists but my main concern in this video is the quality of the tattoo itself. Bad composition, color choice, shading, and bad lining. I would be insulted if that quality of work was put on my body.

  • @teck4201 so true ,some people just dont care .....and some just tattoo for the money ,and if u didnt do ur homework on that artist then u deserve what u got!!!! BE SMART DONT START

  • @teck4201 i agree i wonder how good your first tattoo will look as its alot hard than what you may think my friend

  • @teck4201 if you know how to tune a machine properly and get it RIGHT tattooing is easier than drawing,or I think it is.The needle do alot of the work, and the weight actually makes for a more stable pencil...lol.My machine works just like my pencils to me,but ive spenttime getting my tensions and setting just right for that to happen.basically press harder for darker nd lgihten up to fade it out

  • That is NOT grey wash... it is grey (white and black mixed together) Grey wash is black ink watered down.. You can tell because when he's tattooing the ink looks light milky grey... as opposed to grey wash that looks like it's black (when it's going in) even when it's a light grey mixture. There is too much misinformation about tattoos on youtube. Don't think you're learning anything from this, aspiring tattooers!

  • well said cos the fact is u have to be shown what to do in person .. u cannot be self taugh because u will pick up all kinds of nasty habits .. there is so much more to tattooing than what you see here..u need to know what needles to use for certain shades ,u need 2 know all about the health issues and sterilization of your shit .dont think that learning 2 be a tatooist is a walk in the park .. because u will walk away from it very dissapointed

  • @123sukmeoff What a good piece of advice. Sure, I too have purchased a tattoo kit to learn on myself (no-one else, if I fuck up my body its MY fault, not some dude i'll never see again). After practicing on fake skin, I realized that theres a lot more too it than a nice clean design.. More like thinking about scarring, skin depth and ink colors.

Im goin to stick to my practice skin for a WHILE, I have a lot to learn!

  • @Websomniac I got laughed at when i was trying to buy some GREY colored grey wash... i was going off of youtube info. i bought some sumi and started practicing stepping it down and taking note on the shades... I never take this stuff as gospel

  • @Websomniac you are absolutely right! where dose youtube come up with these guys??!!

  • @Websomniac Personally I think your answer is wrong, the greywash I still use is just witch and kuro, but still if you break it down the grey is what color you acheive and the wash is that its diluted. So maybe he is using greywash in that terminology.ANd if you wanna broaden dem horizons add some white with your regular wash and watch the magic,I personally ove it with shadow, more dimensional than plain ol wash...but again his is really milky

  • that is not greywash!!!!!! white highlights!!!!

  • who makes the best grey wash ?

  • Mate thats white highlights around black not greywash be real...........

  • What should the length of the needle be to go in just far enough? How deep into the skin should the needle go?

  • the needle length stays the same as if you were packing color.you should not go deep at all. just skate across the skin using a brush stroke and adjust your wash according . Its a balance of how you move your hand and how dark your wash is and your power source and machine speed.
