You should see the edits that they did to waw and cod4 I don't know much about this one but there's a translation error in the no russian mission where makarov's words are translated to "Kill all russians" but the german and japanese versions don't want you to fire on civilians so you get a game over screen for killing people. So basically the game punishes you for doing what it tells you to do.
