I am humbled by this man. I wish to learn from Him and his experience. It shows me what I go through as a christian in my life is nothing compared to what Richard and the others like him and ones he wrote about went through and have Christlike forgiving attitude God bless them all in Jesus name, Amen!
Persecution that Christians suffered at the hands of the communists is completely blacked out of history books in American public schools. Wurmbrand's sworn testimony was printed and distributed by the United States Government Printing Office in 1966. It was entitled the "Communist Exploitation of Religion". But its content is considered a remnant of "McCarthyism" therefore it is still ignored by the American press.
Thought to ponder: If you were stripped of everything, including your name, and placed in solitary confinement for three years, how do you think it would change you? What do you think would happen to your priorities? Would you come out of solitary the same person that you were when you went in?
What is it really like to be so emptied of yourself, so wholly surrendered, that you can only say, "Jesus, I love you"? What is it like then when God fills you completely with Himself?
I am halfway through his book "tortured for christ" and it is a great eye awakening book. I am feeling more and more each day that this will be the outcome of all Christians throughout the world, yes, even america, as we are swiftly moving into the end times. The Lord Jesus will be coming soon and we have to work diligently while we still have time! PRAY always for those who are continuously being persecuted and for us when the time comes that His Grace will provide us longsuffering to the end..
Right on........his book In God's Underground changed my life. I talk with some of my friends about this stuff, it is powerful and i had heard it mentioned several times in the sermons. Sometimes with my food i oft wondered what it would be like not to eat with a spoon, i lapped soup without a spoon and the soup was still good. I mostly have liquids. I'll sometimes go without fluids for a few hours to remind me of how the salt treatment they administer in some prisons around the world.
im half way through this book and it has already made me think about my life, and my relationship with God.. this is so far the best book i have read.. well i have half read so far :)
As a local missions rep in my church, I see the need for really letting others see, things like this. Learning about the true marytrs. great video! blessings. :)
As a christian I believe all Western christians, especially, need to view brother Wurmbrand's videos. And preachers should remind people from the pulpits to pray and support the persecuted saints. I have been moved to do "something" to help this cause. How can we keep up the appearance of the body of Christ and not care about the sufferings of our bros. and sisters all around the world? It could have been us. Look at the spiritual decline in America. Have we done all that we could for HIm?
This man is a witness to the truth that in Yahshua there can be great joy in great suffering. 14 years in prison, 3 of them in solitary confinement, scars all over his body, yet there is no bitterness, great concern for others, and great contentment.
If only more followers of Christ would live like this man...myself included. I can't believe the faith & dedication Wurmbrand has amazing!!!

Video's of people doing stupid things like jumping off of buildings = 100's of thousands of views.
Video's of a man who shows us what it is REALLY like to live for God = a few thousand views.

Richard truly earned the right to rest in the Lord after what he endured.
