  • Thank you very much! i loved you explanation,it helped me alot!

  • U are a life saver u make this so easy. thanks so much

  • Love how you explain things!! Thank you so very much:)

  • awesome. i want to get certified!

  • IN THIS EXAMPLE i DIVIDED 250MG BY 5 ML WHICH EQUALS 50. THEN I DIVIDED 350MG BY 50 THE AMOUNT WAS 7, IS THIS CORRECT? OR AM I JUST STUPID? HAHAHAHAHA

  • Thank you for creating such a video, and sharing it with us. I enjoyed the educational content explained at a comfortable speed. Very clear and easy to listen to. Thanks again!

  • Great video! Thanks for your help! I was wondering does the PTCB test on the apothecary system currently? I have come across questions that mention grains and scruples but I'm not sure if they are older questions and since they are not used much nowadays, do they still show up on the PTCB exam? Thanks!

  • For this example, wont it be easier to place 250mg/5ml as is.. 250mg divided by 5ml = 50mg per 1ml.. and from this right away you know that you need 350 instead of 250, so you just need to add 2ml more from the original. So, you need 7ml to equal 350mg

  • thanks for your help. every little help counts thanks again

  • great! thank you!

  • Can anyone please tell me if I will need to memorize the metric conversion factors like a pint is two cups or will all of those be provided? Thanks. I'm taking this in a week.

  • Thanks so much for all of your help!!!!

  • thanks very much for your help... keep your great job :)

  • thank you for you're brief and precise explanation....you're a big help...<3 it!

  • 350mg has 100mg more than the 250mg. There is 5ml total. 5 x 100mg = 500mg 500mg/250mg = 2 2ml+5ml=7ml. That worked faster for me. Is that weird? lol

  • Thank you, this was very helpful! Im taking my exam in two days, Are you saying this is about as difficult as the math part of the exam will get?

  • @mikegbmx

I have covered very simple examples and it is meant to be this way so that people understand the formulas and how to use them. With that said, if you understand the concepts, then yes, this is easy for you.

Very good! Good luck on your test! Let us know how it goes :)

  • i LOVE ratio and proportion ! it works for a lot of things!

  • @nguyadua

    You are correct! Good luck!

  • First of all, thank you again for all you do for others. Second, I need to brush up as soon as possible. I expect to be starting sometime early next week. However, just knowing you will in the near future to go over would be great. By the way, what is your name? I know you have said it in the video, but I haven't been back to review again. I prefer to address you... by your name, that's all. Thanks again and have a great day! Sincerely and Respectfully, Rhonda

  • @rbesst

    You are very welcome!

It is fun to meet new people via Youtube!

    My name is Zita :)

  • Your videos are excellent! However, I am going back into the pharmacy field. I am currently a CPHT. Need to brush up on calculation skills such as the eye drops, creams, diabetic supplies, and inhalers. thanks

  • @rbesst

Thank you!! I am in deep appreciation of all the people watching my videos :)

Were you looking to brush up on how to calculate days supply on eye drops, creams, diabetic supplies, and inhalers?

  • @rbesst Yes, please. I haven't had to use my pharmacy tech math skills in 2 years and a little rusty. I seem to do better on the concentration/ ratio supply than the eye drops, insulin , cream, diabetic supplies ( syringes, test strips) etc calculations. Thank you for all your videos! :) Sincerely, Rhonda

  • @rbesst

    Thank you for watching them!!

Per someone's request, I am in the process of creating a couple of tutorials on fractions and basic algebra.

I could look into creating one on days of supply after that.

How soon did you need to brush up?

  • Yeah I am a nurse. Your videos are good. They keep me fresh on my math skills.

  • @MynamesPatricia

    Thank you!! I appreciate it!

  • @MynamePatricia >> LOL ... You "Fail" with your views, with no compassion. I can only imagine what kind of nurse you are :( You need more than some math skills. You need to take a break one day and see one of those doctors. I looked at most of your post about the City Councilman and you are so in the wrong line of work. You are so full of you! You are a sick and twisted person ... Get HELP ...

  • Very very good. It helped me as a nurse I needed the refresher

  • @MynamesPatricia
