  • ive heard tragic training stories about the military training experience. they de-humanize these poor guys. thats why most of them are always anxious to go back to the warzone. just tragic.

  • All military Basic Training vids are tamer than the Brochures themselves. They suck .

  • @timefornightnight Interesting comment....there is a good reason for that...The military doesn't want to portray any kind of grittiness to being in the military. They want common scenes so that you don't get too scared into joining. After all you may end up in Afghanistan getting shot at. The only place to get that true grit is in the service or in the movies. I can't tell you how many recruiters ask all the time for more gritty style recruiting videos, but don't get them.

  • @HKS89 They are half size human body targets used for potential soldiers to aim while tossing grenade simulators....boom! If you want to see one up close there is a photo of me with one on my personal channel on Youtube at (CussinSailor36). Just scroll down on the channel and you will see it on the left side.

  • A lot of these are men I see very few women why??

  • @LittleCbHawk Many reasons.

One reason is because although sexism has mostly vanished, the culture of the US military is still mostly male based.

Another reason is the women themselves. Most women in this day and age are still homemakers. Therefore, it mostly falls to the men to take up arms.

  • @NickoliLion Do you think men are welcoming of women in the military?

  • @LittleCbHawk I've never been in the military myself, so I couldn't say for sure.

  • @LittleCbHawk the truth is woman are physically weaker and more vulnerable.women have a maternal instinct, they would serve better as doctors helping the troops.

  • These videos always get me hyped up for war!

  • im thinkin of joining any advice? or sumthing i should know?

  • @323BROWNBOY no dont! it WILL ruin your mind! you will regret it unless you like shooting people and in some cases innocent people.

  • @xXxBroncoBoggerxXx why are you goin to fort jackson if youre 11B? infantry school is fort benning georgia, graduated in october

  • i can't wait until i ['join']. ['awesome']!!!

  • Going after High School

  • @TheSkullCrushingWay Im going during high school

  • @Paintballer5664 split ops right?

  • 3 years and im there

  • National Guard and Reserve are the worst group of soldiers i ever seen...but who am i?

  • Wow, talk about trippy....I stumbled across this video by accident and see DS Dewine (my old DS from 2006) and 1SG Weatherhold....my old 1SG.....hahah, brings back memories.....lol..

  • are there harsher requirements or less positions in Army Nat Guard/Marines etc with the economy the way it is now? I did Air force jrotc in high school, loved every min of it,had some friends and girlfriends who were in the nat guard..im currently 23 and unemployed Cant find Anything jobwise..Im thinking of enlisting, but, isnt now probably the time the branches are being hit the hardest seeing how noone can find work ? if so,whats different than before the economy went to the toilet?

    Thanks guys.

  • What MOS are you?

  • i got a little respect for you Nasty Girls. ya'll crack me up with your BS. no lie, i am jealous of your finances though....

  • looks like fun.

  • Some of the things they teach are kinda good, but they just arent' mentally hard enough on the Army. Marine basic has alott of combat in it as well, but we actually spend 2 months for basic combat training instead of just adding it on to basic

  • I dont believe it is right that National Guardsmen should be getting trained in "Middle Eastern" type settings... (street signs, desert like training, etc...) I do understand that any National Guardsmen can be stationed overseas, but I believe it should be "Americanized" because National Guardsmen are the first to be deployed IF the United States gets invaded. No im not crazy, The Army has been in my life my entire life... my father has been in 20 some-odd years (0-6)... I leave soon as well...

  • @bignigga60 Since 2002, there have been more National Guard Soldiers that have served in the middle east than anyother branch. I mean no disrespect, nor want to cause any arguments, but I would like for people to know the facts. My building is full of 25 year E-8's and E-9's that have never been on a state mission in their careers, but have up to 6 combat tours in support of the war against terrorism.

  • @bignigga60 even my own husband (National Guard), 26yr old E-6, has 2 twelve month tours in Iraq, and 1 twelve month tour in Afgan. Also, many people do not realize that the National Guard, Army Reserves, AND Active Duty Army all attend the exact same training classes. This video, is a company that is half Active, 25% Guard, & 25% Reserves. I know this because the beginning is my training company. E-787 MP Co. I am at 53 seconds, far left blonde bun. (w/nerdy BCGs). 1 team, 1 fight.

  • holy shit this is wha ti enlisted into :/ coooool! lolz

  • 0:13 are those lawn gnomes?

  • @cloudpaladin looks like pictures of Taliban or something like that where they practice shooting enemy's.

  • why is it that in Rifle training you train with the M16A2 Model and not the M16A4 Model?

  • @TheAJA765 Even SEALs have to go to Navy basic training. They would get jackhammered if they didn't. PT instructors at BUD/s like to make you stand at attention while they spray freezing cold water on you and laugh at you. So EVERYONE needs basic training.

  • @TheAJA765 its because the navy seal are the most elite of all soldiers, in all of the world

  • @8855falcor Negative

  • @8855falcor Tell that to the SAS or some of the Israeli guys.

  • @8855falcor Not true actually, have you heard of Combat Controllers, PJ's, or Green Berets? PJ's have the toughest training supposedly.

  • @Exangel15 I'd like to say that they all have the best training specific for their job. They're all on the highest level of their job specification and none are better than another.

  • @TheAJA765 lol navy seals are nuts, any basic training is gonna look funny after watchin those crazy bastards.

  • I mean no disrespect by this - as I have the utmost respect for the men and women who serve - but i gotta say, it's a little funny watching this after I just watched a couple Navy Seals training videos lol

  • what branches am i able to join with GED?

  • @CASSINOx Any, so long as they are 'CURRENTLY' accepting GED applicants. I just joined the USANG. National Guard, or Reserves are your best bet. :D Good luck friend.

  • @CASSINOx last i heard just marines

  • @CASSINOx Last time i heard you cant get in any with one but not sure

  • do National Guard and active duty trainees get the same training, together? because thats what the Air Force does

  • @used7issue yes. both active, reserve, and guard train with each other.

  • Im doing insanity to get fit so when i get in for basic training ill be ready for the unexpected theres always new trainings there conducting even my uncle told me he's in the army. he's trains the newbies now he got promoted so many times its hard to keep up.Bless him for coming for thanksgiving! I can't wait to be in national guard! i know what im facing and its my choice :)

  • Woo Fort Leonard Wood!! Thats where Im going for basic combat training on january 9! So glad i made this decision, excited and i cant wait!! I am proud to be apart of the U.S. Military and i cannot wait to start my education and training in the military.

  • I cant wait to ship out for Basic!! i leave january 9th, this is the best decision and greatest decicion i have ever made, im gonna experience as much as i can. I wanna become a Special Forces Soldier - Green Berets. And im loving what the National Guard is all about......But to anyone who is looking to join, go for it, but make sure you think it out, this is the U.S. Military, our job is to be combat ready and prepared at any givin notice, its what we do.

  • E-787 it looks like

  • What song is this?

  • not sure what to do...marines or guard...have family in the marines and i just get this gut fealing about it

  • GUARD ALL THE WAY AND LOVE THE SONGS 3 DOORS DOWN

  • GUARD ALL THE WAY AND LOVE THE SONGS 3 DOORS DOWN

  • GUARD ALL THE WAY

  • doesn't seem so hard...where can i sign

  • Talking to a recruiter this week! Can't wait!

  • Why is this labeled Army Guard Basic Training? BCT is for Regular, Reserve and Guard. Once they graduate and complete their IET status, then they'll go to either their Guard/Reserve unit at home OR for those active duty troops, their first duty station World WIde.

  • Is it just me, or is this song seriously bad?

  • great video!

  • Im National Guard INF. 3 combat deployments in 5 years here. dont join any branch even the coast guard if you dont plan on deploying for you country

  • i miss it

  • 0:20 heil hitler

  • @Jestus13 Your gay get out of here with your stupid racist jokes

  • Co-ed? What the fuck?

  • @Armageddon0mega i assume your talking about co ed training. Well the Navy, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard are also all co ed

  • HELL YA JUST ENLISTED SHIP OUT TO BASIC JUNE 18 2012 CANT WAIT TO GO!!!

    HOOAH!!!

  • @burnin23 Same day for me, where you are you going for basic?

  • @burnin23 good luck to ya man hope you have fun thanks.

  • @burnin23 Good stuff man,goodluck.

  • @burnin23 You are going to love it, make friends, because there family is what keeps you driving forward.

  • @burnin23 Lol See ya there most likely lol. But im a Marine boy but this will get me through college so i can get a Degree

  • @burnin23 man u got a long way to go im leaving this monday

  • @burnin23 lucky, i just finished my enlistment papers, now all i have to do is............graduate high school lol, the training wasnt anything i couldnt handle though

  • @burnin23 i ship out may 29th to fort jackson south carolina. im going in for 11 bravo for my mos in the army. wat are you doing?

  • wanna join the guard but looks to EASY and i dont wanna be on frontlines like marines so whut do i do?

  • @GamertagS3CS33 Grow a pair of balls, or shave your vagina

  • @GamertagS3CS33 At some point you are going to be deployed that's inevitable.. But what you do while you are deployed is up to you if you pick the right job. I have a friend who is in the Army and he just repairs things. I have another friend who resupplies things and another who is building things but he is in the Navy so you just need to pick the right job. But know this! if you are needed to Fight you will fight! and you have no choice! that's what you sign that paper for! they own you!

  • @GamertagS3CS33 Don't join if you are not ready to be deployed. You have to want to actually serve the country, not just suck up our benefits.

  • fort lost in the woods ;-)

  • Were is this Basic Training at?

  • @ugadawg92 it depends on where your located! they have a vast amount of bases around the nation!

  • All Soldiers, National Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty go to the same Basic Combat Training, AIT, and specialty schools. They also all deploy, and all fight.

  • @ugadawg92 if only you knew how true that is

  • I have been thinking about national guard carrier,I stiil cant for a few years. Some of my friends think I am crazy, resptect blind, uniform blind, and comitting suiside with the thought. I understand thats there is large chance of death, but I feel it is what God has been calling me to. I am always willing to listen to my friends opinions and think that side of it but to me they dont have they final say with my life. I still havent brought it up to my parents yet. I dont know how to say it.

  • POG ass soldiers.. lmao

  • there is no such thing as National Guard Basic Training,,, All TRADOC is done with a mixed bag of Army components..

  • The National Guard isn't pussy at all. I called the Army, the Marines and the National guard to join, I'm gonna try to join the National Guard because i don't want to go away for 3 years, i would rather do basic training, get my ACU and go once a weekend every month and 2 weeks in the summer or whenever they need me. Joining the National Guard is just like joining the Army, but its not like you'll be stationed somewhere for a long, long time. I'm 17 and I'm going to join ASAP :)

  • @iNeverPlayFair. Shit son better watch your fukin tounge, them guardsmen will eat you and shit you out, did you see the way they were wrasslin with each other!? there badd to the bone man, Marines aint got sheeit on dem boys, On a real note though...Who cares which branch ya join, at least you are doing something with your life. If you ever been in combat you would know it doesnt matter, live fire is real, the enemy dont discriminate your branch....You prob have no Idea anyway fkng skool boy.

  • what are these dudes infatrys or do all gaurd soldiers do this same training

  • i weigh about 180 right now im trying to loose atleast 15 more pounds before july i really wana serve and bust a cap or two

  • lol @ 0:56 good googly moogly is that communication module that big for illustrative purposes? how many batteries does it take?...if it even needs them lol

  • In the Marine Corps, that guy running with that rifle at 1:08 would have been tackled to the ground and choked for that poor display of muzzle awareness......So I guess the National Guard doesn't care about its soldiers buddy-fucking each other and shooting each other. But that's just us in the Marine Corps....what do we know, right? Marine- Muscles are required. Intelligence not essential.

  • @iNeverPlayFair lol i know right saw him and i was like ftw. guess he is a slacker

  • @iNeverPlayFair. Shit son better watch your fuckin tounge, them guardsmen will eat you and shit you out, did you see the way they were wrasslin with each other!? there badd to the bone man, Marines aint got sheeit on dem boys, On a real note though...Who cares which branch ya join, at least you are doing something with your life. • @iNeverPlayFair Im in the guard, but I have been fucked up for doing that shit in Basic Training. Actually just flipped out on someone for coming off the range and pointing their muzzle at my damn face. There are just morons in every branch

  • wow, it looks a lot tougher than i thought. i thought they were weak

  • why on there shirts it says us army? i thouth there were the gaurd?

  • @Mr1lllllllllllllllll the national guard is like the reserves of the army. they are apart of the army. the whole title is U.S. Army National Guard

  • @Mr1lllllllllllllllll The guard is the army dumbass

  • @crazyrider100 None of them are dumbasses ur the stupid fucking dumbass for fuckin sayin that all these men risk there lives for u u fucking waste of a good sperm dumb mother fucker wat are u border line stupid dumb fuck

  • ok. so i been doing alot of reserach into this. and trying to figure out what i should do. my family has mostly been marines like my grandfather and uncle ,and stepdad was a paratrooper and my dad has been wanting me join something for a long time now. but i really would like to try to avoid getting deployed if thats possible after reading some of these comments. i considered the air force and coast guard but dont u have to have like a college degree? but im in college now so i dont know

  • @darthmaxrat88 Navy or Air Force is a good way to go. You get better real world training and if you get deployed, you won't be on the front lines. All services get deployed in some fashion. You can't avoid that. If someone tells you that, like a recruiter, they are full of $@&%. Only join a service if you can get the job you want! Otherwise, they put you where they want you. Be smart about this. If you have to walk away from the table, do it. No need in gambling with your future.

  • @XtremeMeasuresTV OK. thanks. that helps alot coming from a professional. i been talking to my dad about it and he said the same thing so clears it up for me. one time when i was 17 a army recruiter came and talked to me @ the mall and i didnt know what to really do or say and he took me to the office and i took a test but decided i wasnt ready for that. so thank u for taking time to explain and letting me know.

  • @darthmaxrat88 alright buddy, you dont need a college degree to join any branch of service. National Guard is a good choice cuz they will pay for your college but they also get deployed. and this video urks me because you do the same training as active duty. but last word of advice do what makes you happy

  • @darthmaxrat88 seriously? Avoiding a deployment..thats some real pog shit. There's no point in joining if youre afraid to go into combat since this is "war time" there is no dodging a deployment and if you think the Coast Guard is easy work youre wrong.

  • @darthmaxrat88 Avoid getting deployed? It's the United States Military. Your entire training and career is to ready you for deployment and defending the U.S. If you don't want to get deployed, don't join any branch of service. People who join WANT to do their jobs, it's their duty.

  • @darthmaxrat88 Dont cheat your self .... you def dont wanna join the guard they are soft .... Join the most respected fighting for on this planet THE UNITED STATES MARINES !!!!! Ooorah

  • @darthmaxrat88 Historically, only 10% of the U.S. military gets sent to the front lines. Don't pick an infantry or security MOS.

  • @SSgt24thMEU i picked infantry and still won't get sent for a long time. it's really all based on what unit you go to.

  • im going natioanl gaurd then army... good plan?

  • @WW2medicfan no it hard to do that cuase the guard will try anything to keep you. its easy to go from active to a reserves but hard to go from reserves to active

  • I graduated boot camp there for the Army Reserve, National Guard, Army Reserve, Active Army THEY ALL GO THROUGH THE SAME GOD DAMN TRAINING.

  • what happen to the gas chamber???? do national guard does it?

  • screeew that, I do not miss that at all, and if you don't want to go oversea's don't join. Your going to go. Recruiters will lie through there teeth to get you to join. They told me the same thing 2 months after basic/ait i went to iraq. haha wasn't bad though good money :) Im actually trying to mobilize again. and Army reserve, NG make up approx 65 percent of people of there.

  • signing that paper friday !!!! HOOAH BITCH

  • yeah alright, there is not a basic training for just a national guard, reservist, active duty and guards train together, the difference is that active duty , training never ends and we are the one who really go first.

  • shit, this isnt bootcamp, if you wanna go to a real bootcamp. Join the Marines. They will test you in everything, you can be a pussy when you enlist but they will turn you in a marine when you are done. Semper FI

  • @davidwolfe22 Somebody just graduated Marine Recruit Training (The actual term for it which you probably didn't know but I know more about the Marines than most Marines do and I am in the Army). Congrats on becoming a better person and now a fighting military man, I respect that. Know your're NOT hot shit though. Some of the recruiters at the local National Guard armory were prior service Marines (and my new squad leader). He says you will not go anywhere in the Marines even if your a stud.

  • @davidwolfe22 Even though the recruiter served as an Active duty Marine Infantryman and has served two tours in Iraq as a Marine. He never got anywhere else. He admits Marines are stricter and more disciplined but says Army is better trained, physically and tactically. When he joined the Army, he was able to go to Airborne school. Something that even and 8 year, 2 time combat veteran, Marine Infantryman couldn't get in the Marines.

  • @davidwolfe22 He confirmed my knowledge of the similarities and differences of the Marines and Army. What he said made me proud to be in the Army. You should still be proud of being a Marine though. They are still very high speed. I respect every branch the same. No Marine is better than any Airmen. No Sailor is better than any Soldier. We are all one military and we are the best at what we do. We can all call ourselves American Warriors and be very proud of that title no matter what branch.

  • @davidwolfe22

so are you even in the military?

  • i am turning 18 this summer, i got accepted to university of chicago gonna major in biology/premed, then try to get into med school but ireally want experience like this, i have talked to some recruiters they said if i wanna do school thats fine i wont get send in. should i do it? i dont want to go to afghan

  • @ntabonkerleo You can do ROTC in college along with being in the Guard (Similtaneous Membership Program) and not worry about being shipped oversees. Good luck in college and Military. I got accepted to Ball State and am already in the Guard (but I want to deploy somewhere though before I become an officer).

  • @ntabonkerleo

Well, you kind of chose the wrong military to join if you dont want to be deployed. In December of 2010, i enlisted into the National Guard, i'm 18 years old and i ship to basic training July 13th. Heres some advice i would give you that i came across in my decision making process, if you want to get this military experinece and you want to go to college either go Guard or join ROTC at U of C, Guard members are deployed however.

  • goin GUARD CANT FUCCKIN WAIT

  • @JustListen000 amen brother!!! ;; im on the same boat!

  • my boot camp was not as THIS exciting lol

  • why do they cover their faces when they fall off the rope wall?

  • @cloudpaladin any Army guys want to answer this one? Again, I'm a Navy Vet so I wouldn't know.

  • @XtremeMeasuresTV Have you ever fallen from a good ways up and tried to break your fall with your hands/arms? Keeps that from happening.

  • @0rganDon0r Come to think of it...when we did abandon ship drills, they told us to cross our arms. That has to be the same concept. When you're that high above the water line you could break an arm.

  • @cloudpaladin it is a test of fear. also a test of trust on you brothers. if they say drop you have to trust them and covering of the face stops vision so the soldier can judge when the landing is

  • @cloudpaladin Human nature wants you to break that fall.

  • @cloudpaladin its so they arent tempted to use there arms to break their fall.

  • @cloudpaladin probably to avoid trying to break with your arms and possibly injuring yourself. I was told to cross my arms over my chest

  • @cloudpaladin I went to basic this past summer and they told us to do that so we don't panic and break an arm

  • I love the m16 assault rifle beautiful and deadly all at the same time

  • @Daynknight1001 I like the M4 my units issued me... Beautiful, Deadly, and shorter. All at the same time. haha

  • Does the National Gaurd pay for thier soldiers to go to college?

  • @nosnorma Depends on the type of deal you get, but most everybody gets the G.I.Bill which will get you almost through most state colleges. Mine literally ran out right before my last semester, but I went to a state school that wasn't well known. I imagine if you can get into Harvard, it wouldn't go as far. :)

  • National Guard goes to the same Basic/AIT/OSUT as the rest of the Army. No difference.

  • Good ol' Fort Lenoard Wood I miss it am dying to go back to finish my AIT.

So I see you where in 787, How was it? I was in Alpha 701st MP Battalion.

  • I'm a small dude so i wouldnt be able to join.... sad face

  • @slkhaldrogo Try the airforce

  • @XtremeMeasuresTV So like the airforce doesnt have a height or weight requirement?

  • @slkhaldrogo check into it...I think they may have more lax requirements physically...with them, it's about how smart you are...

  • @XtremeMeasuresTV Kool man ill look into it thanks for the advice.

  • @XtremeMeasuresTV

The Airforce is the last place you wanna go for height and weight requirements. I tried them first but they wouldnt talk to me.

The guard is gonna put me into active first, overweight and when im done with basic ill be lean and mean.

  • @MrSoldier2011 I saw some fat asses quit when I was in basic, they couldn't take it. Excercise before you go so you will not be really out of shape and quit like others. Also, quitting in the Army sucks. When I graduate from basic, some drop outs who quit week 3 were still by the Drill Sergeant's office (doing shitty detail those other 7 weeks) when I got on the bus to leave. It's alot easier for Marines. You quit and your home the next day eating cheesy puffs. (I had had an test 10 week BCT)

  • @slkhaldrogo what the hell why not? there is no segregation or discrimination in the army you can do anything you set your mind to

  • @slkhaldrogo actually extremely happy face... trust me on that one.

  • this isn't very motivating. I'm sticking with the Marines.

  • Cant wait to be there I ship Jan 18

  • i am planning on joining the guard after december. but i am preparing for the physical challenges. cuz i knw for a fact i will not survive the running. i am 6'3 and weigh 190.. is the physical work really past difficult? is it intense? do you get yelled at alot? so many questions.. i wanna speak to some1 with experience.

  • @guadaricanito dude, don't worry about that stuff...just do your best...That's what they are after. It does them no good if you can't pull it off. Work hard, be prepared, listen, don't give up and pay attention to detail! You'll do fine.

  • @guadaricanito yes to all your questions.

  • some people here dont realize that the national guard goes through army boot camp

  • @riverg23 Absolutely TRUE...Ding Ding Ding! As a matter of fact they do mix National Guard recruits with regular Army AND the National Guard recruits out number them greatly.

  • @riverg23 I am National Guard and I went through Basic and AIT at Ft.Jackson, and it was just normal Army training

  • Do they train you to run well at all? I joined the guard a few weeks ago and had my first drill last weekend. We had a diagnostic PT test (1-1-1) I did okay on pushups and couldve done better on situps but I can barely run a mile. I had been running 10 min miles before drill and after the first lap of my PT test I got light headed and weak in the legs and had to stop.

  • @redwngs5 watch what you eat prior to working out and especially take care with any "drinking." That will surely sap you of energy. On another note...you may have just been running. It's a whole different story when you have to do your push ups and sit ups then run. I remember doing the PT test to get into BUDS. I was ready for it, but it's interesting the way they schedule the test. You do everything BEFORE you do your pullups. You're totally sapped at that point and ready to drop Argh!

  • for people that claim 1 branch is superior- i just turned 17 today and am trying to get in the national guard, it really isn't a pussy service they do state and federal work while active and reserves do only federal work, also they don't call up 1 branch they call up everyone and if i happen to get called up when i complete basic and AIT i ain't gonna cower down because i wanna serve!

  • @TheRedneckdb Yes the National Guard is in Afghanistan and Iraq. Don't let a recruiter tell you that you won't be mobilized... it's part of being in the military...there's always a chance your number will be up. And don't let posers tell you any military branch is tougher than another...it's the job [MOS], not the branch. Obviously a cook would not see the same action as a RECON soldier, that's just obvious.

  • @XtremeMeasuresTV yea i plan on going infantry i made a 56 on the ASVAB alotta people are worred but its all i want
