I was always curious about how u guys delt wit the mosquiyo's in vietnam it might be a dumb question but i just always wanted to know

@RADDxSTEEZY - well it was a long time ago but I don't remember the mosquitoes being "that" bad - but I've lived in Florida most of my life so I guess it is a relative thing. The Corps did issue repellant to us for the times they were bad.

@RADDxSTEEZY .. Now that I do remember - Hot and Humid during the Summer and Monsoon rains fall and winter makes for a miserable patrol -- but -- I'll take the heat in Vietnam over the cold of the Chosin Reservoir or the Ardennes Forest. Guys had to man up in those places for sure.

Being a Marine combat vet(2 purple hearts) with 1/5 OIF 1 and OIF 2 I just want to say thank you for all that you guys and gals did in Vietnam! God Bless and if no one ever said it to you WELCOME BACK Brothers!

One of my best friends served in the 2nd of the 5th. We came home, we are old farts now but talk once in a while about those times, we didn't know any better but what we did what we were told against our own sense of self preservation. Today, the Arny and Marines have far better equipment, body armour, great integration and support.
