One of the greatest things I experience yearly is the british summer time in the countryside, Theres nothing like it on earth, its pleasant, tranquil and sublime. Ok it rains but without it Britain wouldnt be a gorgeous green.
Love Constable's work, and love where he came from, its one of the most beautiful, natural places in the world. I visited Dedham and just adored the village and church where some of his work is presented.
It's God's country.
But i would put Constables work as some of the best art i have ever seen anywhere. Magnificent.
Thanks for highlighting the clip as your favourite- I favourited it too! I never thought to check out great fine artists on YT. You opened up another topic I love that I can find here. I mimicked his works in my younger art student days!
You like constable? I honestly didnt know slizzler, perhaps you should put some of your work up on your page, that would be well smart. Good taste though.
David Dimbleby is probably the very best journalist ever to have entered the profession.
It is Dimbleby that makes the BBC still a trustworthy institution, despite it's many faults. It will be a sad day for the principled media when he is no longer around!
this video and narrative magnificantly captures Constable's country... loved it; Constable is one of the greatest artists the world has seen... thank you for sharing.
It is certainly a gift of nature for one to take what is on their mind and put it to canvas - a great recording of history by a great master never to be forgotten - Great Post Thanks.
lovely show... clearly put together by a professional team, and a narrator who is very familiar with Constable's country. I can only dream of a presentation, by the same team, of Constable's "View of the Stour near Dedham". Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of art History.
I've painted in Dedham Vale so many times...Constable's presence can be felt everywhere.

Yes- you can feel the afternoon passive rural atmosphere mood just gazing at his work.
