Ah it was a mixture of things. He was very overweight and the weather at the time was very hot. We were doing lots of walking as well and he thought we would just be getting buses/trains everywhere. It's a shame really, for a lot of people it's a once in a lifetime trip but he treated it as a wasteful holiday. I had another friend who really wanted to go back, the guy who went the first time with me but couldn't afford to
That's unfortunate. One couldn't really get a good tour of Japan just through buses and trains. In the big cities, there is a lot of walking to be done! :) I had so much fun in my 1 week vacation to Japan. We went from Yokohama to Hiroshima and back to Tokyo, changing hotels almost every other night.
More stupidity rather than unfortunate. Ive been to Japan 3 times. This time i went we visted Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima and back to Tokyo in that order with a few excursions to Yokohama and Nikko and the like :D
5 stars but u missed the Japanese conducter hanging out of the train saluting the station when the train left....well someone was blocking it not ur fault! But damn this totaly OWNES anything here in Europe trains always run late and its soo unfriendly
bruised ego :P he didnt get his own way over there, also his idea of immersing himself in the culture was going around mispronouncing japanese words to every random person we saw, wasnt for him sadly
that is music to my ears, because I had in my mind that because they are one of the most (if not the most) advanced countries in the world so I thought they would be very proud as in: "we are best and we look down on others". and I have seen other bloggers that are not so happy the way they treat gaijin in tokyo, so its nice to know that they are nice people. Tell me, how about japanese women? are they interested in gaijin men?or do they only look at japanese men? thanks for answering.
Eh yeah they are, the japanese are possibly the most polite people in the world. Although they are slightly shy towards foreigners they would still go out of their way to help you.
Japanese efficiency comes out on top in the world.

Near the end, 3:10 two boys are disputing over something and they sought of a decision by "rock, paper, scissors (Janken in Japanese)"
