here is something weird: as a child, we didnt have cable, no mtv. but there were plenty of tv shows that would show or incorporate music videos, some were childrens shows. (anybody remember "KIDD VIDEO"?) on one of these shows, they had a music video for "I Cant Tell You Why" of them miming in the studio (I think) havent been able to find that video since. this was the early to mid 80's.

@TEMPmichaelhansen : That was no "miming" video-that was the actual recording of their last album-'The Long Run'-while they were in the studio. It was most likely a "promo" video that was made at the direction of the record company at the time (pre-MTV)- b/c the idea of a music television channel was new, so most artists were made to do these promo type "videos". Why on earth would a band like the Eagles pretend to be playing their own songs in a studio?? Use logic here.
