I swear this is probably the hardest achievement in the history of achievements. I can't even tell what I'm supposed to sing, never mind actually sing it.

With other songs, I can at least listen to them enough to figure out how the harmonies go. Queen on the other hand has such amazing vocal talent that despite the fact that this is the number one most played song on my iPod, I still don't know how the harmonies go.

Got this to work with 2 computers 3 mics and less than an hour of work. Does anyone know if there are videos like this to beat the solo tour on Rock Band 1 on expert?

I was having trouble with RyRyanRobo's videos on YouTube, so I took his videos and modified them slightly. The "Blue" is me singing, with RyRyanRobo's original audio very quietly in the background. The "Orange & Brown" is RyRyanRobo's original video, but I recorded one small part of it, and I also removed the background noise from the parts of the song that don't have any Orange or Brown parts.

Can you do every other song in rock band 3 like this? I'm trying to beat the vocal harmony challenges (always double awesome, every triple awesome, and triple awesome...usually). Could you do that please?

So I need to use 2 mics on a computer and I have to actually sing? Or are all 3 parts on the computer?

@Subareed You need 3 mics and can sing one part if you want. These 2 vids cover all three parts, but you'll need multiple sources to play all three (a pc can only play two through the two speakers).

About 2:30 of the song I ALWAYS miss a yellow part. I just need 1 single fucking part to finish the achievement. Maybe I buy new speakers to try, because I already changed the mic position one each other and the yellow part still miss :/

I used three mics and both youtube vids. The harmonies played out of my PC speakers with the mics about two inches away (very basic equipment- nothing fancy) and if you can believe this, I played the lead track via YouTube on my iPhone and held it against the 3rd mic (with the speaker touching the mic). Getting everything sync'd up perfectly was the tricky part because the iPhone vid would have a slight random delay upon starting.

It did take about two hours of restarts, though.

I also tried this numerous times, and every time the first one that messes up is "thunderbolt and lighting very very frightening me". The mic icon looks faded so its not hitting it. It does the same thing on the third "for ME!!!". My question is, is there a way to adjust my speakers so that the two harmony vocals come out of a different speaker? will that work?

@ncombs1986 that is exactly what was happening to me also, and it turned out I had a "Speaker fill" option turned on in my speaker configuration in windows. It was mixing sound from both channels in a level that I couldn't honestly detect by ear, but I checked it out just to be sure and bingo, that was it.

It works perfectly, all tho it's pretty hard still to manage sing the mighty Freddie. But yeah, good video. It takes a lot of time and effort to get, but in the end you will get it. Try to keep your voice like you usually do, if you change it to much in the song, it will detect it and will mess it up badly. Harmonies system works like a shit load of fuck, so you can blame it on that to. Keep on rockin' to the song and you will earn it.

This video worked for me... Most of the issues I had were with missing blue (I suck....) or timing the video just right.

You really have to be dead on accurate to get it right. It's important to note, it's better to be a little early than a little late. Of course, that depends on your games lag settings.

@GamingMaster100 It's obviously a problem with your sound equipment/microphones, and if it didn't work the first run through then why did you keep trying for FOUR hours? I really don't think I'm to blame for your your own time management issues...

@GamingMaster100 It's not just aimed at the microphone but your own systems speakers too. If they aren't of high enough quality or there isn't reasonable distance between them then you will come across those kind of problems. You should also try to turn off 3D sound or similar settings on your sound card for best effect.

A lot of people are missing this, so I'll add it in annotations.

I think the mics are tied to each part. Blue (1), Brown (2), and Orange(3) in that order. So make sure your mics are set up for the right part. I've noticed that if I sing in all 3 mics at once there are some songs that have the 2 arrows together and a 3rd arrow is an octave down

Worked for me too. I have a crappy 5.1 sound system for my PC that I rarely use, but it came in handy for this goal/achievement. I used Audacity to mix this and the other one for Freddie's vocals into a 3.0 FLAC file. It still wouldn't work and I found out that Freddie's channel's volume was way too low. I then replaygained both MP3 rips of these videos with foobar2000 and noticed a 9dB difference. Once again, Audacity saved the day. Works perfecttly! If anyone wants the file, send me a message.

And it didnt work. -.-

It only got max 2 tripples and 26 doubles.

Most of the time only one of the two tracks is recognized.

okay okay, im getting closer. I think I know what my problem is. I have the following for Microphones:

Def Jam Rapstar Mic (USB Device)

2 Crappy Off Brand Mics with Splitters (1 USB Device for 2 Mics)

It doesnt like the splitter. When I use the Def Jam Mic & just 1 of the other two I nail double harmonies every time. *runs to game stop to try to find another mic*
