I also heard that the President of PETA uses insulin to stay alive. Insulin came from animal research. I love animals and think the we have a whole lot to change in the way we treat them. PETA's ways do not help the cause in the long run. I used to support them. Now I know how my money is spent and there is now way I will support the BS. There are organizations that are far more transparent than PETA and will help animals directly in stead of these whack jobs.
Unless you want and can care for allot of animals, than you should get your pets neutered. And if you're a breeder, keep the animals appart unless you can be sure you have a good place to put them after birth, and/or can find people to buy them.
Nature has a knack for always finding a way. People may not take their animals around to "get some" but if the animal is in heat, it will do anything it can to ...say (as an example) ..dig a hole under the fence to get at that other dog next door. Nothing wrong with spaying and neutering. The animals also tend to be happier, live longer, and have less health problems if they are fixed.

And I suggest you check your facts. Spaying and neutering reduces the risks of SOME cancers while INCREASING the risks of others. My dog is quite happy, and any of her health issues are not related to being intact.
I don't see where I said fixing your pet negates "all" possible health problems. I also don't know your dog. I made a general statement that has hundreds of medical studies to back it up: On average, altered animals have fewer health problems. This means most but not all. Can an intact one live a long happy life with little to no health problems? Sure. However the positives of altering far outweigh the negatives.
The thing is - it's difficult to convince your housecat to pull a rubber hat over his Johnson.
It's more ethical to do that, than to have a bunch of strays roaming about fucking up the eco system and spreading diseases while rummaging through garbage bags on pickup night.
There is a difference between the two. A vasectomy is just the cutting or tying of the seminal vesicle. Neutering the the actual removal of the testicle. As well, spaying and hysterectomies are different. A hysterectomy is just the removal of the uterus but they leave the ovaries. Spaying gets rid of it all. After humans get "fixed" we are still able to produce the hormones, pets can't. And yes they do cut the balls off. I know, because I have taken part in castrating cattle. Not fun.

I understand & support animal rights & what PETA *wants* to stand for but I dont think attacking people with paint or ads get the message across.
I admit there are good points to being vegetarian/vegan but I dont like how one sided they are on the issue. What about people like me who are Anemic & need meat for iron? It's easier to absorb it from meat than greens & pills are tricky to take. I'm not a meat & potatoes person but everything in moderation. They should play fair & show ALL sides.

I am not supportive in the slightest of animal cruelty. I simply believe that if you're going to support an organization, you shouldn't just jump onboard with the loudest of them. Do your research.

I also heard that the President of PETA uses insulin to stay alive. Insulin came from animal research. I love animals and think the we have a whole lot to change in the way we treat them. PETA's ways do not help the cause in the long run. I used to support them. Now I know how my money is spent and there is now way I will support the BS. There are organizations that are far more transparent than PETA and will help animals directly in stead of these whack jobs.

Unless you want and can care for allot of animals, than you should get your pets neutered. And if you're a breeder, keep the animals appart unless you can be sure you have a good place to put them after birth, and/or can find people to buy them.

Nature has a knack for always finding a way. People may not take their animals around to "get some" but if the animal is in heat, it will do anything it can to ...say (as an example) ..dig a hole under the fence to get at that other dog next door. Nothing wrong with spaying and neutering. The animals also tend to be happier, live longer, and have less health problems if they are fixed.

Oh horseshit. My dog is not altered and will never be due to health problems that would make it life threatening. She's not left alone to "dig out" or do anything like that. And I suggest you check your facts. Spaying and neutering reduces the risks of SOME cancers while INCREASING the risks of others. My dog is quite happy, and any of her health issues are not related to being intact.

I don't see where I said fixing your pet negates "all" possible health problems. I also don't know your dog. I made a general statement that has hundreds of medical studies to back it up: On average, altered animals have fewer health problems. This means most but not all. Can an intact one live a long happy life with little to no health problems? Sure. However the positives of altering far outweigh the negatives.

There is a difference between the two. A vasectomy is just the cutting or tying of the seminal vesicle. Neutering the the actual removal of the testicle. As well, spaying and hysterectomies are different. A hysterectomy is just the removal of the uterus but they leave the ovaries. Spaying gets rid of it all. After humans get "fixed" we are still able to produce the hormones, pets can't. And yes they do cut the balls off. I know, because I have taken part in castrating cattle. Not fun.

Saucy- No need to worry about losing a 'breed' of dog, we'll just create another one. Don't forget that all domesticated dogs are the same species "canis familiaris". So there is NO need of them going extinct. I'm more worried about the native animals that are becoming endangered due to their numbers being decimated by domestic cats/dogs that are allowed to run wild. There is no such thing as a 'race' of people, we're all 'homo sapiens'.Just different cultures. And they have been going extinct since the dawn of modern man(aztecs, vikings, moai). You may miss the point of the clip. When unwanted pets are born they are bound to suffer and have a poor quality of life (being killed and/or released into the wild). PETA wants people to help stop the production of these unwanted babies. Fewer unwanted pets=less suffering. Makes sense to me and the clip has impact.

While science is in the constant process of finding those answers, or producing rational, logical theories based on solid eveidence, some people still look for the 'easy way out'. That's where religions come into play!

"You're either hot or cold". Just because you believe in God doesn't mean your a true Christian. If you don't believe in all of the bible you can't call yourself a christian.

Actually Mistakev hit it on the head. Either you believe in a higher power...or not. No real grey area there. Thus far man has NO evidence for it's existence...that is why all religions are based on faith,not fact. Oddly enough,if we DID acquire proof in a god then one's belief would be based on fact and faith would have no place in religion. And atheism would be extinct! Because that's all we need to believe in a god...good, hard, reliable evidence. For religions sake I hope it's never found!

I really don't give a flying fuck what you call me. I know inside God is what I believe in. that's more important to me, than learning the bible by heart.
and life is so much more then just saying:
hot or colt. nothing is black and white.

- An argument of personal incredulity is a moot point. Just because you can't imagine not having a god watching over us doesn't make it true. Nor is it a new concept. For years man has filled his holes of ignorance with "A god did it!". It's easy, simple, but also lazy and exposes your acceptance of ignorance. Religion teaches us it's ok to NOT understand the world. Science explains how amazing it is!

2- Are you guys really satisfied doing everything for some fictional character? OK...I know people need to find their place, peace, and comfort. But that's just it, I can't accept a cop-out like 'Cause God said so.' That's just too easy. No I want the REAL answers, stuff I can see, feel, that is based on reason, logic and evidence. And you know, that knowledge fascinates to no end. I love all life! To quote Douglas Adams:"I'll take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance anyday."

3. Finally...needless to say we're getting WAY off topic here. But I've liked chatting with you two. Neither has degraded to name calling or insults or "God is great, God is good...so shut up." Haha! Yes...I've heard that before. Anyway...do either of you know a better venue to discuss this? I'm good to debate some more. Frustrating at times due to the inability to prove you wrong (that's what is wonderful about faith, ignore the facts and you're never wrong!)But I'm good to go! Let me know.

I can name one, beleiving in God and his commandments. Atheists know no God so your virtuous ways are bringing satisfaction to the self , rather than living virtuous, and prasing God, for His satifaction.

So many can't count, even Jesus. because, those fighting to keep God non existent were the unbeleivers so, they killed the follwers of Jesus.
2) I don't believe in God so I don't value life?
you can't value life, you don't value yours enough to know God exist. so it's impossible to value any other life.
