i think i know why it didnt break! the bow wasn't secured like the others! mabey..... also firemarioflower no offense but we all know that the model won't sink EXACTLY like the real titanic and we have better things to do than to listen to you complain
the stern didnt come out of the water very high, but the correct thing is that it didnt happen to early. according to theory, the water reached the second funnel at 2:15 a.m. 10 minutes after the water reached the bridge, and from that moment, the stern rose 45 to 70 degrees, and at 2:18, titanics lights go out, it breaks in half, and sinks completely 2 minutes later.
@quintanafaj2009 wrong. it split when the second funnel went under, while the stern rose up to 45 or even 70. the bridge was already under at 2:05 a.m. at 2:18 a.m. the ship broke in two, 3 minutes after the proppelors where visible for the first time
@SuperNsy The FC-150 doesn't roll audio when it's shooting in high-speed. It's ... annoying. Normally when we shoot our high-speed videos, we have a second camera rolling just to capture audio, but this time we didn't.
A Night to Remember is no doubt a great movie and the most historically accurate Titanic movie ever made but honestly I think it should be remade this time with the ship breaking up instead of sinking in one piece since the break-up is confirmed. And also get rid of the christening scene at the beginning beacuse its just stupid; Titanic was never christened in real-life.
@16sonicv That's exactly what was happening - flooding amidships disrupted the dynamics of the sinking. The pyro would fire and separate the hull sections, but the stern was already flooded forward, so there was no lever action from the weight of the unsupported stern. We got it fixed. Check out the [Model Titanic Splits] videos.
@flametitan100 Very charitable of you, sir; thanks. :) Yes - both an initial starboard list and a following port list were reported. Post-breakup, there's even some evidence to indicate a rather severe port list of the stern section as it was transitioning to the vertical.
@73searching73 It depends on which survivor account you believe. Several survivors reported what you're saying, and some of our other videos feature that rotation during the vertical portion of the final plunge. If you're asking why that didn't happen here, well ... they're "fail" videos for a reason. :)
@Rapidnadion how do you guys even manage to even place the ship model in the middle of the water?do you just stay in a boat and place the model in the water?
@TheGORILLAZFAN2323 Camera trickery and fancy editing. :) You'll notice for some of the breakup-fail videos (#2 and #3) we're only shooting the model from one or two angles, each facing the same direction. That's because we're in a small motor boat, with the model only a few feet away from us. If you watch the "How It's Made" video we put together for the splitting Titanic, you can see a few shots that show how close we are to the model.
Not rude at all - we've been thinking of doing a Britannic for some time, but there's a lot more detail that needs to be scratchbuilt on the Britannic model. It's a possibility!
Maybe you could make it sink like Titanic 2, and make it roll upside down and sink! Then you could do what another dude said you could do, send down an AR sub with the GoPro and check it out!
@MrTitanicfanatic2 Make sure you refer us to the video if you shoot one, or at least post some photos on our Facebook page. We love seeing other folks' models!
@Rapidnadion Yes i did...if i may id like to suggest an idea. Maybe you can replicate the..how to sya, curving(?) of the steel plates by using thick tinfoil. Only on the edges. And the break up itself, you trigger it with a little "explosion"? There should be a better way to create the sinking, so the hull breaks apart itself from the weight of the stern. Offcourse there are many sinking/break up theories...wich one to choose?
hey how do u balance the ship

hi um every time mine sinks the boat deck flips up what would you suggest for this
kurt1699 1 week ago in playlist Titanic Breakup Failures (Intact Sinkings)
@kurt1699 Secure it with magnets, or glue it in place if you no longer need access to the model's interior.

oh i get it because in a night to remember the titanic was intact when it sank hahaaahahaaah

@Firemarioflower but now the medal is showing not 70 degrees but 11 degrees. the ship started to split at the moment the bridge was under water.

this model is incorrect, i told that.

@Firemarioflower you Obliviously have not watched the Nat.Geo. thing on it.
quintanafaj2009 2 months ago
@Firemarioflower yes i have. And its a big lie. how can a ship break at only 11 degrees.
its an insult to titanic. you know it isnt that weak. that Roger guy is completely wrong.
Science can't be always right.

do a video showing the boat underwater time after you have sinking

@otrosmun We already have several videos showing underwater footage of the sinking. Check out our channel page.

@CptnHardcore09 Well, there's not near enough pyro in there to cause that. But if it did happen ... it would indeed be devastating but cool!

Is water leaking in the crack of the break up section by any chance?

@Rapidnadion oh ok i get it now thanks! and oh one more question how come the ship leans to the port side if it was dammged on starboard?
16sonicv 6 months ago
@16sonicv This model has some pretty severe ballast/stability issues. The port list is a symptom of that.
Rapidnadion 6 months ago
@Rapidnadion To be fair, the actual ship was reported to have a port list. A minor error that was historically accurate.

@Rapidnadion didnt when the stern transitioned to vertical it spun to the port and had done a full 180 turn before finally sinking?
