Kratos is symbolic of humans rising above the gods. Kinda like Hercules in the old days but Kratos is for today's crowd. As interesting as Greek mythology is, Kratos gave it the modern day kick it needs. Look at the thickness of that wall. Kratos flinged Perseus so hard against it he manage to break it AND perseus still flew enough so he could reach that hook. I think if there wasn't that wall to absorb the impact, Perseus would probably reach The Sister's Tower.
