@Phillysmostwonted i've played with a few cats, kittens actually (cuz that's the only time they play, then they start sitting on the furniture looking bossy)and their eyes don't seem to be fast enough. if you wave something around, they can't follow it. the zebras were on to something there. maybe you can't have eyes that see in the dark and good daytime vision at the same time. i dunno, but when i play with my dog, if i wave something around she won't be confused, she'll follow it with her eyes

@dotchoo I've had cats and dogs my whole life and i can say that dogs lives revolve around their masters, and cats lives revolve around themselves (generally speaking). So sometimes, even if you want to play, the cat might not be totally into it, especially if the cat knows it's just a game, not a real prey item. But the night vision doesn't effect cats daytime vision adversely, it just gives them an edge at night. It's only a reflective film in their eyes that helps them collect more light.
