App. State is no joke and def was no joke. The Div-1 FCS teams of today can compete. The talent is very great. A lot of them just aren't great accademically and it forces them to go to those schools. This App. State team won 3 national championships in a ROW. 2 before this game and 1 later that year. The fcs has a grueling schedule with a mix of bcs teams and then a NCAA PLAYOFF where they play the BEST schools in the fcs. They swept thru those playoffs in this 3 years span. app st = no cupcake

As a UT fan you should rejoice that Ohio was victorious in the Second Toledo war. I love how many people from Michigan like to say the Toledo war was a draw and a compromise because they got the UP. All they got was the consolation prize. Ohio however got the main prize aka the Toledo Strip.

Doesn't Purdue compete in this division though? It's not like they were in a lower division they are a big 10 team. So I'd take losing to Purdue over losing to a Div-1AA or a MAC school like Toledo. Either way at least we won more than 3 games.
