Wow, what a great game! I thought Checkprime was done twice but he pulled out the win! Great move hiding his forces in the corner at the end it made the terran think he could go unchecked and not worry about his base.

I think just fake made a huge tactical error near the end of the game going for the main instead of the gold expansion. I think he should have sent his helions and marines to try and do as much damage as possible to check's drone count and that way he would still have had his base and miners allowing him to macro a better counter and win

The way Check kept his entire army in the corner of his main during that last battle was just brilliant. He allowed his hatchery to go down in order to wait for the perfect time to counter attack so he could swarm the entire terran army. Most players would have not had the self-control to allow their main base to go down like that.

wow this terran player stays on 1 base the entire game? unless I missed it (I was skipping through a lot of the game) I only saw him land a base at the natural around like.... the 14 minute mark, only to have it get attacked and lift it back off the ground.... meanwhile check was at 2 bases for most of the game, and even had the high yeild for the last few minutes, which is probably what put him over the top finally for the win

Whats so special about "korean players".... HD talks them up all the time but I dont see any big difference in skill.... yea SC1 was dominated by korean/asian players but even then I didnt really see anyone from any other country interested in playing sc1 on the same level... with the public tournaments and all.... it'd be a cold day in hell when theres a public brood wars tournament in america or europe with 100,000 people attending.... little girls screaming and cheering and what-not lol

Yo HD I recommend you get a decent condenser mic so you can at last be (more) pro at the whole commentating thing. I really enjoy your videos. I think if you step up your audio game it can be really good for you and what you are doing. Your already busting the 1080p. Why not compliment it with some good audio quality. @linenlines i strongly disagree. the purpose of the hydralisk and the muta are completely different. the hydras job is simply to boost the strength of your army with a mid tier ranged attack with high damage output thors > hydras. But looking at the style of Check's gameplay, he's not entirely focused on bolstering a strong army. He's all about harassment, and wiping out those workers, totally incapacitating his opponent, forcing them to GG due to lack of resources.

The zerg was never so much behind, because the terran didn't, and couldn't really expand. The terran should have cut a hellion or two and made turrets before lifting his commandcenter. Also there was absolutely no point taking down the main base of the zerg. The center was easier to attack and getting that wuold've gained victory as well since there would not have been income. Taking out the main would have jst forced the zerg to rebuild his tech.

@urkomplex if you want to know for sure, just check out the statistics of top players, how many are zergs, how many are terrans,....etc... I think there's some website like teamliquid that showcase these stats... Last I heard, Terrans are the highest on top level Korean plays, Zergs are lowest, about half that of Terrans. These things are always changing though...

"check" (the zerg player) is actually a famous WCIII pro from Korea. Those pros from Korea are all about micro (some of them can keep a 200~250 apm throughout the game). One base battle is common for them, as long as they make sure the opponent has only one base as well.
