  • about 6 - 10 seconds (gentoo linux @ ocz vertex 3, Intel Core i7)

  • 1 minute 28 seconds constantly xD

  • Using ubuntu i can get to 15 secs with mine.

  • 15 sec flat is all i can get with a new macbook pro with a ssd and 16 gigs of ram

  • Acer Aspire 5552G-7632 31.7 seconds MAX lowest i've gotten is 24.1

  • 15,3 sec. (Macbook pro)

  • 7 seconds on winXP, 19 running process's, Pentium i5 2 gigs ram at 1600 mhz front side bus...

But I've been a pc tech 15 years and keep it clean, like to see vista or win 7 running on only 19 process's :-)

  • Mine is 15 seconds( psst) can u guess? anyone 1 of u have huessed right will earn yourself 1 subber which is me!

  • my phone, takes 5 minutes to boot up....

  • I dont have a cam, but my 2ghz P4 piece of *bleep* boots VectorLinux in 26 seconds (running my hacked MWM based environment)

For GNOME or KDE, add +20-30 seconds to that time.

  • only fcked up windows boot that long... max 15s to boot.

  • mine is about 18-25 seconds. i have a i7 2630 sandybridge cpu at 3 ghz. and a 120gb ocz vertex 2 ssd

  • "fastest Mac" there is no such thing as that, Macs just suck big balls. Babies fed with spoons, that's all that ye are!

  • swear to god it takes 6-8 secs to start up to windows (best: 6.69)

  • @BewaredGamer LOL que?

  • My AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2Hz Hexa-Core OC'd to 4.5GHz With Non-SSD Drives (Getting 2 128GB soon takes 14.37 Secs, i don't know why it boots up that fast, well mind you, it was from a clean, freshly installed system. so now i probably take about 20 secs now.

  • @yesnoman89 wow you got a BA pc dude, after you get your ssd, it would be super fast. and this guy's computer here sucks, my pc boot up faster than his with window 7 lol

  • @minhaintnotwin Thanks man, as it's been a while now, and i've installed all of my programs, it takes about 25 secs, but when i do finally get those SSD's it should go down to 15-16 again.

  • @yesnoman89 dam bro, thats sick, how much did you pay for it? im building one after summer for bout 800 without ssd, its gonna be sick but better if i had the ssd lol

  • @minhaintnotwin I Only paid 800GBP, that's including a GTX 570 1.2GB, all i did is be patient and wait for all the good deals to come to you. i also have a thermaltake frio CPU cooler to cool this thing, and i have 6x12CM fans cooling the components, and i have an Asus M4A89TD Motherboard, and 8GB DDR3 1600MHz G.Skill Ripjaws RAM. and i'm getting those SSD's tomoro, can't wait, i found the pair for 200GBP, i couldn't believe it when i found them for that price, they are Corsair ones.

  • @yesnoman89 wow cool, i wait for good deals too

  • @minhaintnotwin Yup, that's the way to go.

  • 22 seconds on my tuned laptop. Custom by alienware.

My dekstop, (6 128GB SSD drives in RAID 0), boots in 16. I should make a video...

(And phase cooled i7-980x clocked to 5.5GHz)

  • 29 Seconds :) haven't done anything with it :) it's 2 and a half years old. And it's not a laptop :)

  • Saying that you have an old Mac is not an excuse. I've used a five year old Mac (a couple of weeks ago), and it booted up in six seconds. My iMac fully boots up in about 45 seconds, because I have a whole lot of things that I have running at bootup.

  • AMD Phenom II X4 3.4GHz

    4GB DDR3

  • You sound like Snoop dog :D

  • Linux (Ubuntu)

    64 Bit

    4GB RAM

    4.3 GHz

    19s

  • @mel0ntech

I had that before I bloated Ubuntu, now it's at a massive 30 seconds! Puppy was 8 seconds though. Anything is better than Vista's 20 minutes because it fucks up on it's own updates.

  • My 2006 1.5GHz 1.25GB ram boots Leopard fully updated at 50 seconds.

  • Windows XP Professional 64bit

about 18.7 seconds for computer to start up, and have everything loaded on the desktop. From turning on my PC to loading a level in Crysis, its 49 seconds skipping the intro screens during the game.

Pretty descent for only 2GB of DDR2 1066 RAM!

  • By the way, you are ugly, too.

  • You too

  • I cqan't beleive you think that is fast, you piss me off so much. I hope you get IN A CAR CRASH AND DIE SLOWLY.

  • You are such a dumb ass. You should go kill yourself. You have no idea what a computer is. I built a computer, and it boots up in about 10 seconds. With Linux, less than 5. You are a retard. I don't care if you are talk specifically about an OSX operating system. Go die.

  • well you're nice. go to therapy if you're talking like that! oh and by the way, i bet if you were face to face with that guy, you would NOT say that... needle dick

  • my pc boots in 39.3 seconds and its a 1ghz pentium 3 procesor 480mb ram with windows xp

  • Windows 7 ~ 32 seconds.

  • Um yeah could you stop sucking Steve Jobs' c*^k and get off the Apple cross, someone needs the wood. Apple may load faster and may be simpler to use but that just means they're built for the ignorant. Solid state drives bootup within milliseconds and put Apple to shame.

  • i wonder if the dude has jumped off the building yet my old pc that i used windows 98 on started up in 15 seconds wish i still had it

  • You all must have ssd. I got a i7 920, 6gig ram and it cnt boot that fast. =/

  • asrock instant boot can get 4 seconds haha pwned ^_^

  • win XP 10 seconds ;)

  • haha, i just tested both win 7 and os x from boot menu (i have the same mac as you). ill make a video response when i get home from work. heres my times...

win 7- boot up 40secs, shutdown n/a (got an error and had to force shutdown)

    os x- boot up 14secs, shutdown 2secs

idk if the video responses are faster than that but for me anyways, win 7 got strait up pwned!

  • I've never had a computer that's taken longer than 30 seconds to boot. Then again, I've never had a mac.

  • this mac aren´t optimized , use OnyX , if you use OnyX , your Boot up time was more splendid

  • he says: "this is what you're gonna do if you're cool" - HAHAHA

  • Part of the reason macs boot faster than most pc's (unless you have a near super computer like me) is not because what's inside the comp but the operating system like vista for example it is much more complex than the mac os and can do more than mac hence it is larger and takes longer to boot than mac for most pc's unless you have a fast comp

  • 12.3 seconds

  • lol at the prepubescent kid who uses his parents to buy him apple products at ripoff prices.

I'm not saying this to piss you off or because I'm pissed, but by the time your screen turns blue, I would be playing Crysis. No joke.

And PCs are way faster than the fastest mac.

  • PCs are much better, macs are just gay, they look gay and all of the cheap cheesy adverts are too.

You get next to no driver supports, or 3rd party support, games...WHAT F******G GAMES?

hardly any software around in shops compared to PCs, oh and the monitors look like cheap shitty plastic acrylic fish tanks too!

  • lol @ 'this is what you are gonna do if you're cool'

'your gonna get a computer, and a timer oooooo!! like the one on my IPHONE, yeah the built in ITIMER on my IPHONE, then take the IBATTERIES out of my moms IDILDO and put them in this IMAC computer'... lol its not cool to be showing how your parents got ripped off by buying these gay apple products at rip off prices, now go and grab a box of ITISSUES and begin to ICRY!! lol

  • I would be playing Crysis by the time the screen turns blue.

I'm not even joking when I say that.
