  • Just sing, please don't talk.

  • we love her!!!!

  • Political views aside, what makes a great singer is their level of intelligence. You can't write great songs without having a certain amount of intelligence. You also cannot have political views without a certain level of intelligence. Better someone with right-wing views than a ditzy blonde who writes absolute trash.

  • I have my computer up as loud as it will go, and I can't hear this worth a shit.

  • Carol is fantastic!

  • Forget her political views and even her opinions for that matter...When you close your eyes and listen to her music, what do you feel? Personally, it moves me and I was 13 in 1971 when Tapestry came out. I listened to it alot and have gifted it to many over the years. Absolutely EVERYONE I have ever turned on to Carole King has loved her. Her music is real and full of simplistic, emotional thoughts and melodies. She will always remain So Far Away, Beautiful and A Natural Woman, Who has a friend!

  • The volume is so soft, any way to make it louder, please?

  • earphones!

  • To me she was always a bit extraordinary - that's why she still looks and sounds great at sixty four....

  • Just thinking to myself if such comment really deserves a reply... such a waste of time and energy to fight "attention seeker trolls"... However, it pains me to read some stupid *** calling a 64 year old woman a "dumb hag", even if it were true in her case. Unfortunately, the internet, a place where more and more losers and cowards can say whatever they want without being tracked down, is crawling with things like you. Just wondering now how you treat your own mother (if you ever had one).

  • i prefer the music she wrote with GERRY GOFFIN in the 60s awesome

  • she is still soooo hot!

  • hot in a unique way

  • My Love,,Carole,,says,,'will you still love me,,tomorrow..???yes,YES! • does anyone know the story behind her song "tapestry"?

  • Thanks for posting the vid.

She's great, and in my books is up there with Essra Mohawk.

  • Carole, I grew up with your songs and love them. You are great and very charismatic! Wish you all the best! Silvia

  • I am presently reading a book about Carole King, Joanie Mitchell and Carly Simon, three phenomenal singer/songwriters.

  • "Girls Like Us!" Phenomenal is the appropriate word! What a great read!!

  • Yes. That's the book! So cool that you've read that one. You're my new best friend. lol.

  • That is such a great book :]

  • I love Beautiful, talented and Natural Woman.

  • I love beautiful, talented and Natural Woman

  • are there people in the us who still label an artist with an ecologist attitude as a 'communist'...? boy, what year is this? 1950? communism was a failure and died away, but square people seem to linger on and multiply...

carole king is lovely and eventually might be tagged as 'naive' sometimes, but let's not talk nonsense. she's 100 percent american pop culture and i love her for that.

  • utterly full of shit

  • I've always regarded Carole King as being a humanitarian, ecologist..similar to Bonnie Raitt and David Crosby.(automatically this constitutes "communism" these days) She hasn't changed over the years and that gains my respect. It takes guts to stick to ones principles. Saw her live in London in 1982 and that was one of the finest concerts ever. Hope she lives to be 200!

  • Hi folks,

I'm a songwriter and just finished a new song its here on Youtube. Pleae come take a look.

    Thanks

    Coomer

  • without Carole King,,there is no Beatles,,,except for "pleasent Valley Sunday!"she wuuuused out there!,,"He hit me and it felt like a kiss??"

  • @bbmonte Gosh, you're really delusional, aren't you?

  • Beautiful music but I think she would be more comfortable politically in China or Russia. Please SHUT UP AND SING!

  • oh, I am surrounded by idiots...

it's not about politics, it's about the music...Elvis once famously declined to endorse JFK or Nixon in 1960 because, as he said, "I am an entertainor, and am not qualified to tell people how to vote..." that shows awesome humility.

  • I have always loved Carole and last year I got to see her perform here in Australia, needless to say she was awesome!

  • Her political opinions just prove that you can be a naive liberal fool and still write beautiful music-

  • or maybe that you can be a right-wing arse and still appreciate beautiful music

  • i am not such a right winger-I am actually pro abortion-I finally figured out that since 90% of the time it is liberals aborting their kids, I have decided that anything that leads to one less bloodsucking emotion driven creature that wants to take all of my hard earned money to give to "social programs" for lazy dogs that sit on their "arse" all day and produce nothing but more of themselves, is a good thing!-I wish your parents would have been ardent praticioners of abortion!

  • How sweet. Warm seasonal greetings to you too

  • tooclose2detriot:what's to do communism? is it the same as being liberal? man if that is your perspective you are nothing but a m*r*n, you took your ideas from the reader's digest? can't you come up with something better or you have nothing to do but write non sense?

Go get a girlfriend, enroll yourself at the YMCA or follow a cooking course.

Everybody has the right to express an opinion and the proof and is that we have to put up with your dumb commentaries.

  • first of all, genius, you spelled Detroit wrong-but mistakes are expected if you only type with your left hand-what's to do communism?-is that supposed to be a sentence?-I will attempt an answer to what I think, but am not sure, is your question-Communism, and the philosophy shared by Limousine Liberals, and their mindless(you are included in that group) followers punishes those trying to succeed-Therefore, I can't 'get a girlfriend' or 'take a cooking class' because I must pay super high taxes!

  • @tooclose2detroit Absolutely 100% true. Love her music, at least the earlier stuff, but a typical (music/hollywood biz) lib re: politics. I just skip over the canned, calculated blather and get to the good stuff ... music, which is what she knows-

  • Just great

Politics aside brings tears to my eyes.

    Sincere lady

  • Carole is a true legend, a supreme songwriter and a class woman to boot. Well grounded too for someone who's achieved massive fame for her art.

  • Will you (still) love me tomorrow

    One fine day

Take good care of my baby

    Go away little girl

    Up on the roof

    Locomotion

It might as well rain until September

King is one of the most important US POP music composers, pretty much sure I am. And nevertheless we cannot forget the nice lyrics on those songs, written by her ex-husband Gerry Goffin.

  • The original 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow' is written by Carole King? Is that true?

  • Yes, written in 1960-61 with Gerry Goffin, recorded by the Shirelles it went to #1 on the Billboard 100.

  • The beauty was in what you gave to millions of 70's romantics & fans !!! You're such a love, Carole & thank you so much for having been my guiding light in a dark tunnel.

  • Carole King defines the meaning of the word "cool". She's loved by generation...after generation...after generation. A true American treasure.

  • What a sparkling woman she is! She deserves her talent.

  • She's Great!!!

  • love her!

  • carole king, an angel come to earth.

  • telemarker77; Carole King is, in my opinion, one of the most sincere performers on this planet *and that's rare in the music business. I'm apolitical but have long admired her views on everything from ecology to relationships.

  • when i first saw the little photo of here before clicking on the vid, it seemed like she had wings on her back. seeing the video, it seemed the same way and now i know why, she is an angel. so talented and brava the way she has touched so many people.

  • You've got a friend... queen of kings & queens.

  • What a woman!

  • wow she is so cool

  • Yes, she is amazing!
