@DolceVita Koko has been able to show love and can understand it even being able to epathise with humans. The woman who looks after her she considers family now and if Koko were to just live with other gorrila's now she would be upset. The only thing I feel sorry for about Koko is a lot of the time she relates her emotions with motherly love and see's every young animal regardless of species as a child showing she wants to be a mother, I think she should be able to adopt a baby gorilla.

I think we underestimate the intelligence that Koko had. She understood more than 1000 ASL words and 2000 spoken English words.Regardless of her entire understanding of those words, that's still a being that isn't considered human communicating back to us.
