The pioneer amp you see at 3:31 I think is a SA-9500, I had one just like it, also had the tuner SA-9500 that went with it. Too bad he doesn't have the tuner so all of you could see it, it was just so beautiful. Stupid me when I lost my job I sold it all. Pioneer used to make some really high end stuff, I especially liked the solid feel of the knobs and switches.
I used to be a real stereophile but when they started coming out with those black faced stereos I said forget it, I'm not buying that ugly stuff. I also worked in a electronic repair shop for awhile and so have seen the insides of a lot of stuff. the old stuff like this was made in Japan and the workmanship and quality is something you seldom find today.
@RadioWar1212 , I have a friend that buys this stuff and sells a lot of it on e bay. He finds it at estate sales, yard sales and pawn shops. He usually doesn't have to pay much for it but sells it at a hefty price sometimes. Hard to find it in good shape sometimes. Good luck!
@thomasb98908, The old stuff does have a great punch to it. Pioneers have a very stiff power supply with big caps. Even so, it does pull down the line enough to see the house lights dim a bit.
Thanks for the nice comment!! I wish the video sounded better. I had it up a little loud and appeared to overload the camera record levels making it sound a little distorted. This thing is very loud and clear.
You've got some serious power there my friend. I enjoy it loud too. ;) Excellent collection of equipment and I dare say a rare assortment not found just anywhere. Thanks for sharing.

what model is the third receiver down? it looks awesome with the blue
RadioWar1212 1 year ago
@RadioWar1212, It is an SX-1010. 100 WPC RMS @ 8Ω or 110 WPC RMS @ 4Ω. I think made in 1975 or so. Very powerful for just 100 WPC!

I bet Your neighbors love you! Nice stuff. And one heck of a speaker system:)

@seansy59, Thanks for the comment. More speakers do make a difference!

I'm jealous. Great system. WOW - got enough speakers ?? hehehe
I bet the power dips for a mile around when you crank that system up.
Sounds great. I'm also running some vintage stereo equipment and you just can't beat the sound.

@boeingman777 , Thanks. I have had this stuff for years. I rarely have any trouble with it. So far I have had no trouble finding parts for repair.
