  • I uploaded a video just for you. This might shed some light on older ground zeros. Click on my name (teedermcdribble) to see all of my videos. The one you'll be looking for is called: subwoofers bass Ground Zero. Perhaps I'll try to do a video response so it shows up on this page. I'm not sure how that works, but I'll give it a try. Normally I wouldn't bother with all this but those subs were a part of my life that was awesome. It's cool to see some still out there.

  • I had the ground zero hydrogen 15 with a passive radiator back in 1999. They went radioactive=1magnet, hydrogen=dual stacked magnets, nuclear=triple stacked magnets. It got stolen out of my car around 2000. I've had the original paperwork on all three series for ten years. I went to find it for you and I don't know where it is now. If you reply to me with a little info I might be able to help with box specs and power. What size is it and how many magnets does it have?

  • ive got 2 hydrogen 15" and dont no shit about them>

  • @TheRmielke My best advice for an amp would be to find one that does the max power at the ohm load of your sub. It won't do any good to get an amp that does 2,000 watts at 1/4 ohm if your sub is 4 ohms. Find an amp that's strongest at 4 ohms. Probably 300 to 450 watts rms (not max) at 4 ohms. The general rule is $1 a watt. So a 450 watt amp will cost $450. Dont be fooled by shit like Sony Xplode 1,000 watt for $150. Also, unless you upgrade your alternator, you'll never get that much power.

  • @TheRmielke My amp was a Us Amps 300x. (300rms x2 @ 4 ohms, 450 rms x2 @2 ohms, and 900 x 1 @ 4 ohms). It cost over $600 and was a true power house. The first time I turned up the bass, the box started jumping off the hatch floor in my dodge daytona. I had to make a floor of mdf and screw it to that. The GZ broke my rear view mirror off. It didn't come off the windshield, it actually broke the stem in half. Also, the headlights kept coming up and going down. It would hurt you easily and did.

  • could any one tell me info bout the old school GZ hydrogen 15s

  • you are all joking right, ground zero will destroy re, fi, jl, rf ect. GZ's only real competition is digital designs.

  • Looks like a really nice sub i have to admit. But i think my jls got you beat. Im not saying thats a bad sub though. I wouldnt mind owning one. But i have a jlw3v2 12inch, dual 2ohm. That thing is pretty nice.

  • u deff got me beat with this setup i have i havent put more than about 100-200 watts into yet and ino that ground zero subs are rated anywhere from 600 watts to a couple thousand rms , if anyone does no how much these can handle let me no bc i cant find anything about it

  • @nuttall94 what you should do is try getting some re 12s or something. Their really good, there up there with fi and jl. And there a bit cheaper.

  • @SubMasterT saving 2 get a car rite now and i have look at those subs they arer pretty nice wat do u think about a par of hifonics 12s for 40 bucs is it worth it?

  • @nuttall94 actually to tell you the truth i just bought two of those a couple days ago. Cuz the 30 dollar ones are single and the 40 are dual voice coil and thats what i got. Their actually pretty good entry level subs. Pretty good power for the price. And the quality on those are really good. But if you looking for high spl, no, their enough to cover up the treble but its not enough to rattle the guy next to you.

  • did u port the box or is it sealed

  • @nuttall94 ported, i really dont recommend you sealing those subs. But how powerful is your amp, whats the ohms, and is it a monoblock or multi?

  • wait do you even have the amp yet?

  • i have a mtx i think like 300 watt and a couple sony 1s not sure how much on those there at my uncles house

  • i couldnt tell ya being i live in U.S. and they arnt made here

  • what model of gorund zero is it ?

  • idk cant find it but its a 12"

it mite b on da magnet il check nxt time i switch boxes

  • i see you changed dust cap.. it might be Ground zero 30Spl

  • ground zero best still the best Quali of pure bass..man

  • give ya 50 bucks 4 it

  • i made the box and the brand is ground zero i think it is from diff country

  • Pretty nice sub! I like the box. Never heard of the brand though...

  • im 15 but it will beina couple months
