if a muslim american veteran with an artificial limb gives a passionate speech about his sacrifice & demands to know why he can't marry the way his heart tells him to & then goes on to declare that his faith & his culture says that polygyny is acceptable & then rants against those who would force their values on him what shall we do then? if he demands to legally practice polygyny are we just going to legalize polygyny as well. shall we label all who oppose polygyny "bigots" & "hate mongers."
@ArmenOfTheNorth if you are fearful of 'polygamy' that would be one thing, but quit hiding behind some radical extreme idea. if you are anti gay, anti family, anti marriage, anti children, anti freedom, and anti american THEN vote to pass this bill and come out of the closet as what you are. a bigot. If you don't like being a bigot, choose not to be one, and vote for freedom. if you TRUELY fear polygamy start up a cause to stop it. *hint* start in utah, where all the hate money comes from
I know for one - IF this passes - Ill NEVER ever go to MN EVER! the republicans DON'T care - they Hate Gays, and want to stoke FEAR to bring out the wackjob rightwingers.....
Head they win, Tails we lose. The people are not deciding on marriage equality. The vote that will be taken is to place a discriminatory definition of marriage into the MN state constitution. If the vote is approved it goes into the constitution and makes a very high hurdle to crawl over. If the vote is disapproved same sex marriage is still banned. Why didnt they put a yes or no amendment on the ballot? That if approved it becames legal. That really lets the people decide!
@neenerpuss they were afraid that they would lose and gay marriage would be made legal. I think thats why they went this direction. This way if they win or lose it will still be illegal. And now they have almost 2 years to run a disgusting hate campaign. what a waste of my state tax dollars.

@ArmenOfTheNorth I see no reason to discrimination against anyone for their marriage.
