By the way Disneyland May be smaller but it's the original Disney Park and is way better in many ways!! As they say size doesn't matter it's the quality and entertainment it gives

Disneyland may have a small castle but the advantage is, is that we can see fireworks and not a castle. Even though Disneyworlds castle is still good, its just not good at night during the fireworks. Oh and Disneyland may have used the same audio from Hallowishes but they made it like 100000 times better, its just really cool.

And the smaller castle was exactly what Walt wanted. He felt that the tyrannical kings of the Dark Ages used large castles to intimidate people. Walt wanted the park to feel more friendly, so he made the castle smaller.

I just got back from disney land in california and the fireworks were sooooo amazing.. If you want to se em make sure you go before Halloween.. And the fantasmic show is pretty cool too. Go to fireworks at 9:20 ish and fantasmic at 10:30ish

Can we mention that all the Halloween offerings at WDW require an addition cost... (hence why they have them...). and to Clarify, Disneyland (CA) does not really compete with Knott's or Horror Nights because they cater to a different audience...

Yes, the Halloween show in Orlando should come to California 'Disneyland' In Florida where I was born and raised, Halloween has become huge, especially with Busch Gardens 'Howl-O-Scream and Universals 'Halloween Horror Nights'. Because of the competition in Florida, Disney has put alot of time and money into WDW 's Mickeys not so scary Halloween. I love Halloween and I would like to see it span the globe. After all Paris 'Disneyland is heavy into the Halloween as well.

You want a real Halloween? Then come to Hong Kong Disneyland on Halloween. Hong Kong knows real a thing or two about horror. Most of it is still a typical friendly Disney Halloween like in California and Florida, but the haunted houses are enough to match the ones in Halloween Horror Nights. They're actually scary.

yeah i mean i hate how disneyworld gets all the tv specials and stuff. and personally, i like disneyland a lot better because everything is just right there, more compact. you dont have to take a freakin bus to get to the other parks (or wait for the monorail forever). and you also dont feel like you have to waste your money staying for a week to do everything.

I disagree with bringing this to Anaheim. I loved the video and the music was nicely done. but bringing this to Disneyland wold like be bringing illuminations to paradise pier. I think that each park deserves it's own unique shows and attractions instead of cloning them. and to add to andresmannuel's argument on WDW getting the attention, i agree. But DLR dose have it perks like the matterhorn and subs.

@Newirisher I agree with some of that, but I've been going to disneyland pretty much since I was little so its pretty fun to me. Plus I also visited WDW in June & it sucked to high heaven. I don't think its as lively & as spectacular as DLR :/

WDW is a replica of Disneyland... then they began to create the other parks. Expedition Everest is a ride based off of Matterhorn for example. I do agree that each park should get their own special parade or rides. But WDW gets quite a lot of high tech new ride and technology leaving Disneyland behind in the dust...

Disneyland just came out with WOC which is a wonderful show and I love it. I like WDW more than Disneyland, and I still think that Disneyland should keep WOC. And it will. So I don't see why they must take WDW's shows. If they want a new halloween firework show, then they should do what WDW did. Make a new one.

I don't think it's fair Magic Kingdom gets all the good parades,fireworks ,rides and a whole buch more things and Disneyland is left out in the cold I know DIsneyland is small and that there is not much room for expansion but it was the first park it deserves a little bit more attention from Disney. IDisneylland has the smallest castle and the worst neighboring park. I live in Anaheim and I think we need an upgrade.

i personally agree that disney world does get the better rides and parks and is basically i think where they put all the money to. but i think that the parades and fireworks at disneyland are what make disneyland what it is. charming and beautiful, spectacular. i mean sure the castle is small but that was walts' first castle. but yeah, they should like give attention to disneyland and the resort as well. i just guess, that our little disneyland needs some TLC too. I think they would do well in DL. Other than the ranch, main street, and the HMH overlay, Disneyland doesn't really have much of a halloween feel during this time of the year. The fireworks and parade will do well.

yeah there wasnt even a halloween tower of terror overlay this year, its like they dropped all of it. Its kinda sad, Disneyland is being almost forgotten with WDW being the king of all theme parks. Disneyland was here first and it should be displayed as so. I only hope the DCA revamp will bring Disneyland up with WDW

From a CM point of view, I think they should definitely bring in the parade and the fireworks show, plus more decorations. (You completely forgot to mention the Candy Corn Acres Halloween set-up and HalloweenTime in Disney's CA Adventure, that has probably as much decoration as Main Street.) Anyway, they would boost sales in CA through the fall season, and we need it; though it was pretty busy this season, it's usually not around this time of year.

I think the holiday season is great at Disneyland but it always was lacking during the Halloween events. Honestly Halloween is my favorite time of the year and that looks like a fireworks show that I would enjoy seeing. The effects were timed really well and would love to see it here in Cali. Any chance we can see some footage of the new monorails in the next podcast?
