That's not Chicago style deep dish pizza. That's thick crust pizza. Chicago style pizza is deep, but the deepness isn't due to the dough. The dough is crispy and flaky and the deepness is because it is pie shaped and holds cheese (on the bottom) and other ingredients topped with tomato sauce. I have to wonder if this guy has ever eaten a Chicago deep dish Pizza. It's for sure he can't make one.
You did good! The only thing I can't stand about you is that you didn't invite me over to eat it! ....I would have liked to see how the crust was made though) ;o)
im srry to say this but .. u suk as a chef o-o 1star .. u didnt give the ingredients, didnt say how to make sauca .. u wasted the whole cup of olive oil ... and u didnt use any tecniques... presentation sux ass. where did u study? .. T_T prepared in a house kitchen. fancy huh?
You gotta love this guy, he puts cheese on the top of his pizza, and bakes it for 45 minutes. The time is quite correct but not for for pre baked dough (which is stupid in it's own right) , and defineitely not for cheese topped. If you "pre bake" the dough, it will be overcooked, and if you put shredded Mozzerella in a 425 oven for 40+ minutes, it will look and taste a lot like charcoal. I have not seen his finished product. Either I can't find it, or the fire department found it first.
No I don't. But this clown has absolutely no idea of what he is doing. It might make a decent pizza but it is NOT Chicago style deep dish. Not even remotely close. He also does not show the finished product. That video seems to be missing, or his pizza was burned beyond recognition, and he was too embarrassed to show it. I can only speculate. I don't the doubt that he is Isaac, it's the Chef part I have trouble believing.
You blew it hoss! 10 seconds in you put sauce on the bottom...WRONG...the cheese goes on the bottom, followed by the toppings and then the sauce, which should be uncooked tomatoes. The final topping is a mixture of parmesan and peccorino romano (finely grated).
Stick to "Digorno" it tastes like "delivery" and is much harder to screw up.
lol dude I always taught that first comes the sauce then your other stuff and finally the cheese :P(in a ROUND shape)I'v never seen pizza in another way but you seem to know more about pizza than me :)
Does anyone else find it ironic that the name of this channel is "EXPERT Village"? I've watched well over 30 videos of theirs and almost all of them either have incorrect information or information that is either outdated or is just poorly represented, as is the case with this video. Does anyone at Expert Village review these before they get put onto YouTube?
Please don't insult New York in that fashion (New York pizza is weak enough on it's own). I watched a New Yorker challenge a Chicagoan in pan pizza cooking. Granted, it was Bobby Flay vs Marc Malnati on Throwdown, but anyone from New York could probably do a better job than this clown.

i notice that in the US olive oil is like a luxurious oil. In Greece we use it as everydays oil in our food. [e.g medditerranean cuisine]

I'd have to agree with you there. This recipe was pretty weak. Looks like a New Yorker tried to make a Chicago-style pizza.
