Art 42.2.3 Page 46 of FIBA 2010 Rules. Next time, try and be more aware of what you're talking about, especially in an instructional video response.

NHFS (High School)....Correct (except the restrictions end when the ball hits the ring OR backboard) Rule 9-1

College & NBA.....Restrictions end for the players that are in a marked lane space (rebounders in paint) once the ball is released. Free throw shooter and players outside 3 point line must still wait until it hits the ring OR backboard.
