Panamera is ugly as a fck, (beauty is a subjective thing, but if you think this car is pretty, then hell... you must have an aesthetic ability of a dung-beetle)... Acura ZDX? BMW 5 GT? come on now. CLS is the closest thing to the right class of competition. And I'm not gonna say which is better. Both great cars.

@sspope Of course the "content" of todays vehicles spans the World, as to who makes what. ...I've found the Audi, VW, Porsche to be very "Sterile" makes...It was called " Tuetonic" at one point. Look at the interior of a Jag XK8, early model...then any of the Audis'.......Jag luxurious, the Audi "cold".The Audi model lines are bloated...all looking the same. Give me real choices not restyles.

At $66K it will be worth half that in three years...not a good deal. @ratmtbola if it's looks what you are looking for, then the Mercedes CLS is the choice. If it is interior, Jag XJ then. I say the M37 cause is a pretty balanced alternative. And i love the VQ engine ;)

@oOoironhideoOo Depens on what style of interior you like better. In terms of interior quality the Audi A7 (or Audi in general) is second to none. And in terms of style Audi is better than Jaguar too, atleast for me.

But the Jag XJ and Infiniti M37 are completely different cars than the CLS or A7 anyways. The M37 is a small sports sedan, the XJ is a big full-size luxury sedan. The M37 should be compared with the C-Class, A4 and 3 series, the XJ with the S-Class, A8 and 7 series ;)

@oOoironhideoOo Really depends on what you want ;) But looking just at four door coupes, I'd probably take the Merc CLS. A7 would be second. And if it's for a sports four door coupe, either the Aston Martin Rapide or Porsche Panamera Turbo. If all you want is looks, style and luxury, I'd say Rapide. If you also want usable back seats (the ones in the Aston are tiny) and good trunk space, the Panamera.

I hate to say it, being an Audi owner myself....this was biased. Alex Roy should have had the car for a day, then JF on the other day. Then, tape the review for FLDetours. Somewhere in between Alex and JF's review could be a great review. That said, I love this car. Someone mentioned S7, but all that would be is a tighter suspension and upgraded trim. Could there be an RS7....? Price wise, it's beyond my reach, but would be a good read.

All S models (not talking about the S-line sport package, but the "real" S cars) also get a higher performance engine than the standard car. In the case of the A7 / S7 it would probably be close to 400hp. RS7 (which would be absolutely awesome) probably something above 500hp.

This car looks great in black, i would wait for the S7, thats going be a car worth waiting for. Personally i think that the look is very balanced and it looks great overall. At the moment the car is a little under powered, but the S7 should put up a great fight with the CLS AMG.

XD, but now more seriously, i personally dont like A7, styling-wise when i look at the back of it, when its sideways, it looks like it has a lump,like a Panamera and the rear it just isn't appealling, remindes me of a 5door Ford Sierra.Yes, it has a great interior, but engine-wise it isn't anything amazing, none of them has a bonkers, craziness in them. For that, my choise would go for the car that started the 4 door coupé: the CLS.
